I'm comfortable enough with my sexuality to admit that when I look at Brad Pitt, I say to myself, "Now there goes a fine specimen of hot, hot manhood."

This is such a strange thing. I am confident enough with my sexuality to look at Brad Pitt and detest him for being this handsome. I feel that's quite healthier than the recent apologetic streak our kind has decided is good form in such occassions.

So then should I just hate or be openly hostile to people I perceive to be more attractive than me?

I'll do whatever everyone else is doing.

What does the help file for this program say on the topic of making business cards?

Since it appears from your text that it allows you to make them I figure it would tell you how. Maybe?

Someone sent that video around at work. I don't see the appeal at all. I have no idea how it works but I feel a lobby of names with a chat room is quicker, more efficient and faster loading than an entire world where I have to run down the street to find someone to play a game of *INSERT GAME NAME HERE*

But again, I have no idea how it works. Either way, I'm mostly interested in Little Big Planet

I'm not arguing this anymore Andail but I don't think you've understood what I was saying. I feel you're exaggerating my point out to me being afraid of disagreement and that's not what I was saying at all. I also did not ask for "loads of music theory".

Mods, this thread hasn't been posted to in almost a year. C'mon man, you know the rules.
#648
You weren't trying to be rude but you weren't discussing anything either.

Am I saying that Chicky reacted correctly? No.

Chicky overreacted and you called him on it and he apologized.

You don't see how your post can be seen as rude, fine but you must agree that entering a thread about a subject you don't care for and shooting off a quick one liner just to show that you're in disagreement with no further explanation is not exactly adding to the discussion at all. Right?
#649
I don't see how your one liner was discussing the original topic, Medical Waste. Where is the discussion in there?

"I don't think so, and here's why! ... "

That would lead to a discussion. You give points and then the other person responds to them.

Also, no one is saying anything like "Let's be serious about this! This is a post of utmost importance!" I'm just asking people to at least try and not be a dick. I don't think that's much to ask.

Also, "oh dear" and quoting "oh dear" fits under rule number one of posting golden rules and falls under the forum rule guidline labelled "Think" found in the sticky at the top of this forum.

Hooray, I loved Pilot Light, I also quite love your hl mods and I believe you should make more games...

That is an order.
#651
Why do people go into threads just to make fun of people and call them stupid?
#652
Hooray! Automation!

Which PC Gamer?
#653
I guess I'm just wrong all around!

Hooray everyone anyway!
#654
I also see Darkside Adventure in the list, made by Bernie though not an AGS games and Force Majeure, is that part one of Force Majeure 2: The Zone?

Hooray for everyone!

I dislike walkthroughs, I dislike the help forum on this forum and I dislike UHS.

The reason why is the help forum on this site is too random. We tried to fix this by suggesting everyone start their own official hint thread [http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=25792.0] and by doing a search it seems maybe 5 games have done it. I personally think it should be mandatory but that's just me.

It helps so much in my opinion!

Anyway, I don't like the UHS site because I go looking for help that won't spoil things and the page reads:

How do I get out of the first room?
Dealing with the robots.
Solving the gryphon puzzle.
Throwing the villian into the blackhole.

Now the game has been spoiled and I don't know if my section is in the first room tab or the robots one! So I end up reading a bunch of hint titles just to find mine which spoils the game even more.

The reason I don't like walkthroughs is because while they're better than the other options they're too easy to alt tab too and just keep reading. Especially if the puzzle I was stuck on was just unfair, I feel that if that puzzle was unfair I want to make sure the next one is fair.

I think, for me, the solution is Official Hint Threads with a liberal use of the spoiler tag. Or I just ask a friend who's beaten it already... That's actually much better.

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Re: Game Ideas
Sun 25/02/2007 01:50:41
I suggest you set up a free livejournal or some internet diary account, call it "The Game Dump" and post all your ideas to it, people can read it at their leisure and comment on them and give suggestions and ask for elaborations on that site.

http://www.livejournal.com/

it's free and easy and you can put the link in your signature and people will visit it if they want ideas.

Explain what is not working in more than 4 words please.

Did you install winRAR?

We have a thread for asking for help in games. I know you've posted in there but reposting another thread to get more attention is not appreciated.

Good luck on the game.

the point is, he's not even trying any of this stuff...

To me the point is that if you or anyone else suggest something bogus to him and he does try it, it's not helping anything and never will. It doesn't help, he gets disillusioned to medication thinking that if taking some random herb that a lady down the street suggested doesn't work what could actual medication do?

I'm just trying to express the point that "home remedies" and "alternative medicine" is 99% of the time complete crap. Homeopathy, herbal "remedies" and all this crap is a waste of time and money. Sure, change your diet, eat healthier, have more salads whatever, but don't take sugar pills said to contain the vibrations of healing herbs.
