In my opinion the reason she got more mad is because you weren't reacting to her in an angry way. She escalated to get you angry. Not because she was hiding behind her ovaries.

"Do women use their 'place as women' sometimes?"

Sure. So do men and so do children and so do blacks and so do whites. This is what Becky was talking about, I'm sure.

I'm really awesome and sometimes I let that get to my head and I strut around rubbing it in people's faces... But they're usually thankful just to be acknowledged by me so it's ok.

In a way this shows you as being sexist and not the woman, Nikolas. Everyone is a little bit sexist but saying that you don't believe in swearing at a woman but it's ok to physically fight a man... That's crazy.

And where did you get this crazy idea that she knew because she was a woman you wouldn't touch her? Can you read minds? Did she tell you "And because I am a woman you will sit there and take what I have to say to you!"?

" mean if you (women) want to act and speak like sluts, shouldn't you be prepared to take the consequences?"

How do you know she wasn't ready for the consequences of a verbal arguement? Also, I don't think "slut" is the word you're looking for here. A slut is usually someone who sleeps around and is very promiscuous. A person who swears and picks a fight is... I don't know what the name would be... A human?

" How would you feel if a guy 1.94m started yelling at you, much louder than you ever can, and start calling you names (and your family and your religion and whatever on the process, cause frankly when I'm pissed I'm pissed all the way), and even start beating you up? Cause in the end, if the driver in front was a male, I could end up fighting. And there wouldn't be much of a problem really. We would fume out, relax in the end, get a beating both of us adn that would end..."

This confuses me too... Did she beat you up? How would you feel if someone started yelling and cursing at you for no reason? Well we know how you'd feel. Badly, since you posted this here. However just because she has ovaries means you have to be as nice as possible to her and avoid a fight? Tell her to fuck off, learn to drive and roll your window up.

Don't go blaming gender on something like this. She was highstrung over something and she blew up at you. Unfair sure but not because she knew she'd get away with hit or she has some sort of "Get out of jail free" card because she can give birth to babies.

"What can you do?Ã,  You can't hit her back... " argh I hate this too, bullshit, hit her back if you're a violent person or don't hit her back if you believe that violence solves nothing. Don't control your anger just because she's a woman. Have more control over your life/emotions than that!

...in my opinion...

I wouldn't say they're radical... Just they mean little. To me at least.

I could go through the bible and find ways to equate the 4 horsemen to the Marx Brothers. What's more interesting to me is doing the math on 7 days = 13.7 billion years, how many years is 1 day to the christian god?

As far as the book of revelations goes, I read it a while ago because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. It wasn't that interesting. Lovecraft proves to be better, as always!

No. Sell as many games as you want, they're your games.

in response to Geoff, once again I want to pimp this though it is less relevant...

Evolution and how it works backed up with scientific reasoning.

however more on topic slightly is this:

if you scan forward to 52:42, I believe it is Paul Willis that has some interesting things to say about the creation of moutains and gorges and such backed up with scientific reasoning.

Hooray science!

If you're going to search the forum and find a thread, check to see how old it is first and then make sure you have something to say that is important enough to bring the thread back to life, please.

from her quote:

"I'm an insulin-dependent diabetic. Twice a day I take synthetically manufactured insulin that still contains some animal products -- and I have no qualms about it ... I'm not going to take the chance of killing myself by not taking insulin. I don't see myself as a hypocrite. I need my life to fight for the rights of animals."

Even so, no animal testing, no Marybeth Sweetwater. Does she thank animal testing for saving her life? Does she need animal testing to save her life? Yes. Will she protest animal testing by not taking insulin? No. Should we condemn other people to die by diseases that we may be able to prevent or treat with animal testing in the future? Marybeth says yes.

Are you saying that diabetics shouldn't be animal rights campaigners? Since insulin-dependents usually get diabetes at birth or in childhood, you're basically forcing them never to form opinions on the whole subject in later life....

Sorry, let me clarify, I'm saying that she needs animal testing to live her life. She can not live without animal testing. There are people who can not live without running a hog farm or trapping and killing beavers for their pelts or etc etc. There is a difference in insulin and a wool sweater company but in my opinion it is a small one in many instances.

If your family runs a business that mistreats [by mistreats I mean in the PETA sense, can't even shear sheep as well as slaughter a cow] animals and that is how they have lived for years and years, they have a mortgage and a 4 kids in college, are they supposed to just turn their animals loose and find new jobs? Are they supposed to plant cotton and turn their sheep loose or plant soybeans or whatever and turn their cows loose? Even if they gradually worked towards phasing out their wool sweaters into cotton ones, man that's a huge undertaking requiring a complete overhaul of the entire business model, training new skill sets, new employees, maybe even moving to an area more suited for agriculture. Can family or small business afford to do this?

If you have a disease that is helped by animal tested products, are you supposed to not use them and take your chances while waiting for something non-animal tested to come along? According to Marybeth Sweetland of course not. Preserving her life is more important. So if she's more important than the animals it took to make the insulin but the families that depend on animals to live aren't more important... I get confused.

This is really my main beef with PETA:

PETA Senior Vice President MaryBeth Sweetland on her use of insulin, which was tested on animals:

"I'm an insulin-dependent diabetic. Twice a day I take synthetically manufactured insulin that still contains some animal products -- and I have no qualms about it ... I'm not going to take the chance of killing myself by not taking insulin. I don't see myself as a hypocrite. I need my life to fight for the rights of animals."

Plus they are taking advice from the actual fans for the movie.

If they truly are and not just pretending to, than that's the worse thing someone can do. When you become a fan of something you never ever had your say in the matter so why is this a good idea?

The TMNT trailer shows nothing to make an opinion on but I'm all for taking the turtles back to Eastman and Laird territory... If only to be awkward.

When does the Cheesiness say “Hello”?

When they learn English.

Jane, don't worry about it.

By reading the review page, Mordalles doesn't seem too broken up about it and he made the game. If he's not freaking out on you than all is ok.
