A dual use sword/spatula - good for killing enemies and them fliping them over when you have made them into burgers.

Not bad man, I like the puppy.

Thanx Jannar - that's kinda what I meant. But thats us talking about us, what about in a larger sphere - you know, in the long run?

(p.s. Chris Jones is bigger than jesus as jesus couldn't script for shit!)

No.

(only if hunting is part of the fun, otherwise no - I know a book is a book without beingtold it's a book)

(edit: I originally had a frowny face after no but I really don't feel that strongly, why o why is there not a grimacing face or a slightly frowning  whilst smirking smiley)

(okay maybe not, and if this topic has been done before feel free to kick me in the nuts and ignore it)

Okay, this is weird, I sometimes get adventure game cravings. Games that I played years ago and loved and just had to play again.
I even remarked to myself about six years ago that I could probably play the Curse of monkey island over and over again without ever getting bored of it because I just loved wandering around in that crazy pirate world. But just a few moments ago I had a revelation (probably not an AGS community member first, but a revelation anyhow) I had a real urge to play Aarons epic Journey, the first or second pick of the month since I joined over a year ago.
What the #$@! . . Aarons epic journey, are you mad, I thought to my self  . .and then suddenly realized how much I enjoyed playing it.
Any way cut a fricken long story short - is it possible that I am gaining AGS nostalgia . . I definately got warm fuzzies.

The question that I am poseing (even though you probably couldant tell from the sentimental drab I just spewed) is :

Could it be possible that AGS as a whole could someday become cult?

epiloggg.
There are heaps of new people (okay not heaps) travelling through these pages every day and even if they are not making games they are most certainly playing them. Will these games mean as much to them as old sierra classics have done to so many of us in the past.

(probably not but at least post a game that you played a while ago and already get the urge to play again even if it wasn't so profesh as a LA game, like that one where you are locked in the attick with your insane step father or maybe that one where you are a mum flying around in a ufo like space ship bribing people with cheese . . .)

Penquinx thats really good. I like the style.
I looorve robor man he is one of my favorites (although I haven't read him in years - I guess that stuff sticks to the back of your brain though)

Igor: thanx for the suggestion. I think you will be able to enjoy the eyes style more when you can see him interacting with more characters like him (I hope any way). I will keep your suggestion in mind but for now I think I like the eyes.

I was pretty happy with this - he's a character from a game I have been trying to write for a while - hopefully I will figure out a complimentary background style and be able to make a quick demo soon.
I'll post more info as soon as I have some good screenshots.
Just interested in peoples opinions on the style.

Took me all day (still not 100% on those back diags).
cheers!

Well I can't say I'm not dissapointed with the turn out on this one - but thankyou for entering Gilbot and to all others for being antagonists and bringing my shame to new heights.

At least the judging is easy.

Gilbot is the winner - you are a schollar and a gentlebot - next to Evil you lookey like jesus. :)

uH oH . . alreadt the forth and no sprites!

What happens with a sprite jam that no one enters - except for the fact that I will get voted in for lamest spritejam idea ever ?
#393
Sure - it could even be mixed with a character from neither as long as it's not too obscure.

I b flexible

Gennetix is funny isn't it - you have sex with someone and then before you know it your giving birth to a two headed freak baby and your thinking - why oh why did I sleep with one or more of the cast members from Babylon 5 or Doogie Howser MD ?
Well the answer is you didn't - your just ugly, and the person you boinked 9 months ago after you got totally bricked at your grandmas 80th - was damn ugly too . . .then your genes mixed and whallah!! Two headed freak baby named Nacho!

What would happen if Brink from Dig made it with the Purple tentacle from DOTT or heaven forbid Herman Toothrot ?
What if Guybrush and Lechuck got it on!! (reow)
What if Glottis from Grim Fandango made it with Timmy the monkey - yes you guessed it it's time for

[glow=color, glow width, 7 characters wide]    Lucas Arts Celebrity FreakBabyopia [/glow]
mix two of your favorite LA or even Sierra Characters together to make the ugliest wierdest freak baby ever!!

80 x 120 pixels
256 Colours

Get to it !
(extra points for wierd combos and unexpected character gene splicing!)

-also they don't have to be babies - just what they would look like at any stage of life.

ooooh cool. Thanx . .

I'll think of a new sprite and post it tomorrow.
#396
Oh man . .I love limited palettes (because am wierd) this shall be super fun-o . :D
#397
Thanc for the feedback - You guys are right about the window - I'll play around with it for a while.
With the other stuff, the light is a doorway but will be animated  - you know door opens light floods in ect. (the colors are just there so I don't lose the palette.
And there will be arrows to signify exits ect .
I will post this again when its finished so you can see what I mean.
Thanxs

I hardly ever post crap on these forums but I have got the urge today.
I do that thing, you know where you have a great Idea and you get into it only to discover something else and then you go on to that  and then to the next thingy ect . . and I never finish nuthin'.
But lately I have mellowed out and by george I thinks I gots a style - anywho long story short I'm making a game called pocket fluff about a freinds fanzine.

What do you think - it's not finished but there you go.
(it's more for the character than anything else)

#400
Cool thanxs for voting everyone.
I'm gonna wrap this up tomorrow (or even later tonite if no-on has any objections).

I am voting for Wanderlady - cool idea.
