Great stuff!

Full of energy, many original jokes and great timing + editing. Love it. Only critique worth mentioning is perhaps in the sound department. I feel a few more effects would've been good, that's all.

I work at an animated TV-series, and the animators are all impressed!

Make a sprite out of a movie character. Any movie or character is okay.

Originality, resemblance and usability is good. Tracing is not.

Please include the name of the movie + character.

size: 100x100
colors: 16 + alpha

lol @ Stupot

The Green-yellow paintover

I also feel you went a bit overboard with the contrast, so I was curious to see it in a bit more conservative version. Also changed the yellowish hue a bit, and tried moving a few pixels. I feel the "pointy hair" is a Ben Jordan trademark, so I extended that a bit, moved the nose 1px left and started simplifying a bit (maybe someone better at pixelling can demonstrate a result with fewer colors...). Otherwise, I feel your changes are very good, you only overdid them ;)

Wow, that's totally unexpected. And for such a silly entry...

Thanks for the votes, I'll think up a new jam.

I think it happened a few times in the past where the host disappeared.. not so this time, but why not?

Whatever, I give my vote to Brad Newson. I like.

Btw, Ben and Jens also had very good entries!

Since the theme is "innovation", I think ripping off an already used title is brilliant..! Interesting game, btw.

Sorry, I've been busy so this took a few days, but here we go:

PARIS IN THE 18th CENTURY
Imagine you're creating a BG for a scene set in Paris in the 18th Century. You'd normally need to do some research to get the "correct feel". It can be a exterior or interior, but should include elements to link it to this time and place. Finding reference material shouldn't be to hard, many paintings have survived and tons of movies (and also TV-series) are set in this epoch (largely thanks to the revolution). It'd be great if links to the reference material were provided. Good luck!

Voting will start at the end of the 15th unless the number of entires are below three, or anyone asks for any extensions.

EDIT: Extended 1 week.

How much for the movie rights?

Idea - cobra79 - Great job! There might be a perspective issue with the ladder, but this is such an ambitious take in the first place, and a great, good looking result.

Atmosphere - cobra79

Design - cobra79

Composition - cobra79

Functionality - Buckéthead - I'd like to see one where you were not using a game enginge. Nevertheless, this is the best I've seen from you so far.

Technique - cobra79

Great theme Tiki, too bad about the participation.

Thanks alot for all the nice words, it's very appreciated :)

Yeah, your pixelling is ACE Pslim - really good, but you should consider putting more variation into this. There really is a lack of distinction between these portraits. Experiment with angles, framings and expressions, and get more distinct characters. Even if this is small talk mode. Right now the angle is the same, and they all seem to have a similar level of shyness. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, I'll join Ali and apologize for commenting on something not ready; I really didn't realize. I honestly thought a couple of the ratings were  questionable (as mentioned), but I guess this is not the time to attack these ratings. Let's just give the panel the time they need to work this out, and discuss later.

The lair of the Eskimo gangster boss, Nanook Jr. Here many fur thefts have been planned. On the sign; his emblem - the finger. Also a few mousetraps to scare the uninvited away. The plank is very slippery, and if you fall into the cold water you might freeze to death. Roof not finished due to engineering problems.

Christmas Quest 2 > Cirque de Zale?

Idea: Creed Malay. Very depressing though...
Atmosphere: Tiki.
Design: Tiki.
Composition: Tiki.
Functionality: Tiki.
Technique: Tiki. Great background!

I also planned taking part in this, and started a BG;

It was going to be a rollercoaster full of underwear hanging around - Lavern's two biggest passions in life. Strangely, I lost interest when I got to the underwear part.

You are certainly going in the right direction.

Still; blurry, empty. Try keeping the structure of the material in mind while shading. This esp. goes for the tree. It is shaded a bit as if it was some sort of screw, not a tree. A bit rushed, with the fast down/left - up/right movements. The Mr. Miyagi way of painting. But he was a karate instructor.

AGS. Cool to the touch.

Idea - To be honest, I often find the ideas for the blitz entries very standard adventure clichés, endlessly boring stuff. A couple of nice details this time though. Loominous: extremely pretty, but I'd love to see a more exciting subject treated. I give this to Snarky for the cool jokes.
Atmosphere - Loominous obviously. Is your nick related to Andrew Loomis, or also the Luminist style of painting? (or something completely different, what do I know) The light and mist in this piece is what makes me think of the latter. The Loomis connection I'm aware of. I should read those books!
Design - Loominous. Gotta like the house, but the mailbox is the jewel!
Composition - Loominous by miles.
Functionality - Loominous. Raddicks with a little more visible ground.
Technique - Loominous. I think Raddicks' piece is a tad too blurry. I believe the image could have turned into something really good with a couple more "drafts" (probably goes for mine too). Snarky: It is good and shows great improvement from other BG's I've seen from you! Keep it up!
