What about in these backgrounds, which version looks better?

And yes, the nose can be taken down a bit.

A bit empty and the outlines for the room look a bit thick. Looks very nice all the same.

Very cute! Would love to see a game in this style.

For the first time I like textures on a 2D scene!

Has a very 'kewl' look. The side view elbow could be bent a bit. Face is a bit pale, as taryuu said.

Oooh nice! Great texturing. Only critic I can think of is the face looks a bit flat compared to the rest of the body. Looking forward to more great art.

You could do wonders with a color choice change. These colors dont go well with each other. Plus you could use a lot many more colors since this isnt an EGA (CGA?) game.

I like it, but it shows around 2 screens tall in my explorer so its difficult to criticise.

I think it looks lovely! There could be a lighter grass surrounding thing around the castle, like a lawn or some fence.

Got a Wacom tablet! Now I can experiment with colors hopefully. It's pretty different from drawing with a real pen on real paper, nowhere as precise. And I'm still keeping the time for these pieces one hour each so I have to do both drawing and colors in the same time now, which means they'll end up looking rougher than the b&w pieces. At least till I can learn some speeding up techniques and tricks maybe. Anyway, my first color attempt with a brand new wacom, a game character I coined up myself, sort of a Japanese female Max Payne. Not too proud of the result. Critics welcome.
