I used watercolor then smudged it with the smudge tool than used watercolor again. Looks messy now.

I love it! The side view is less appealing than the front view, maybe if you connect the smile through the moustache... Love N3T's talking animation too!

Very cool. Looks like a slinky small time thief in Paris.

Looks great! But I wouldnt want to play him as the hero, I would want him to be the villain who also has the girl's affections that the hero wants to win. A more bumbling less muscular less handsome less smart hero is always more fun to play in adventure games.

Nice! Your work has a very distinct style!

Thanks guys!

Neole wonders what Synth posted..

N3T: The fish are really careful with the hook gag.

Vistivity: We're planning to put a lot of scantily dresses girls in the God Game.

Thanks Petteri!

Barcik: One hour on this art thread, when I post. When I have some freelance job then a couple of hours on that, maybe twice a week. But then I scribble a lot and used to scribble a lot more on the margin of my books during school lectures.

MrMasse: She just got caught unawares else she would have changed.

Peaceman: Half a cow in a jar?? Dang, that must be some gallery..

Sorry got called away for a few days and couldnt get to the forums.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Evenwolf: I dunno bout the tyres, I just thought round signifis dumb so I made the car and tyres all roundish in contrast to the other cars.

SSH: These were all freelance paid work for different clients, so that might make me kinda sort of semi-pro, since I only do it in my free time. And I have not forgotten the God Game, so keep your mind open for ideas for the game all the time. We should be starting on the game again early next month.

Squinky: Will do!

Scotch: Actually synth asked me to post some colored stuff.. usually I dont.  The art thread of course keeps me working on my art. I will definitely be working on the Creation game once I get my Wacom tablet (its ordered but its with a friend till the end of the month). Wacom will make it much quicker for me to work on game art since I wont have to draw on paper and scan and then color with a mouse.

Igor: Thanks! Lovers Lane is my favourite too, hence the 'save the best for the last'!

IbeX, I think it would be alright to make a game this detailed. I will begin next month when we'll know for sure. The main character wont be as detailed as the Mayor though, cos of all the walk cycles.

And thanks for the encouraging words once more, this really charges me up for the God Game.

Try using the watercolor filter in photoshop on the whole painting and then putting the modifications on top. That should remove the photorealism.

Beautiful! Only thing looking odd is the land seems to be curving upwards at the sides, like this - "U" . It would normally be straight or curved downwards (like an upside down U but much gentler). An upward curve might happen with a wide angle lens but then the horizon would be curved upwards too.

Looks great! I like the first version better, with the lighting of the second. If you remove the right side of the left wall entirely it would be more correct perspective wise, but it looks great anyways.

I dunno, I'm really bad at FOA type or pixel artwork. (GK2 used photographs for backgrounds)

That looks like a Gabriel Knight 2 background.

Synth, alright, I will try and put up some colored stuff in another thread. I keep only an hour every day for these daily sketches, so there's not enough time to color them. However I am getting a Wacom Intuos 2 soon, so I might be able to get color in them too, since tablets work much more efficient than mouse.

12431 - thanks. I havent managed to get the technique of getting the sizes correct across panels. Maybe I should draw horizontal lines or something for reference..

Pie-Rat, you have a good idea, but this forum is probly not the best place to try and earn money!
