I would love that N3t!

Around 40 minutes each, very little shading time. I find tigers very difficult to draw.

Couldnt get myself to draw the big hairy feet.

Looks fine. Not sure if they wear a hat or something.

Thanks guys!

Matts, no colors for now, I'm just trying to fit in some drawing time every day. If I start coloring I'll probly give up the whole exercise.

Lovely! Reminds me of stuff like treasure island, robinson crusoe and tarzan.

Programmed to penetrate the cranium through the cribriform plate, enter the neural system, and extract memory.

I dont see any need to cloth a wolf or mother goose, but the no nudity clause makes it all so difficult - I guess Donald Duck is out too  :(

A disney type cartoon character (as in LSL7, KQ7, CMI, Full Throttle) might fit in pretty well. If you see old disney movies they had the cartoon characters over painted scene all the time.

I think it will fit in wonderfully with the characters I've seen for Roger Foodbelly. Discworld had some traditionally type painted scenes with cartoony graphics as well, and it worked excellent. Of course it was in lo-res which sort of impressionalises the cartoon characters.. but I have a feeling this will fit well in hi-res as well.

Thanks guys!

BOYD - its a piece of exoskeleton intentionally shaped as a hand. I got the idea from a poster I had seen in Amsterdam last year - a guy had his hand on the nude lower torso of a female exactly as in my drawing. The poster was all over the city but I never did find out what it was for. Anyone know?

Scotch - I'll start coloring when I get a new Wacom. This is all I can do with a mouse, and my older tablet is lost somewhere.

I've been using a new shading technique the past few sketches (starting with the dog and gladiator images) which makes the drawings look like having increased shading. After scanning the pen on paper images I make a separate layer (in photoshop 6) underneath, do a render cloud filter in black and white (or grey), then fade it to a level to match the mood of the picture. Then instead of brushing in shades of grey to make shadows like I earlier used to do, I erase off the grey using a transparent eraser to make highlights. I also smudge some of the render cloud around. This seems to gives a more shaded look to the sketches with almost the same amount of time.

Thats great work Trap! And though I agree with MrMasse, we must all remember there might be other sources of light in the room besides the fireplace, in this case most likely a reading/dining light (or candle) for the person seated beside the fireplace. That would throw a light very like what you have painted.

I havent done live nude drawings for some years. You would need a date in my imagination to meet up with these and would likely end up in pieces the way they love to play with weapons..
#519
Wow, they're all looking great!

Ooh, pretty pretty!
