I like your style. Most of all I like the bottle with a long neck!
But Andail is right.. it feels like you haven't planned the motifs too much.
I see that you've got potential and I'd love to play a game with this style!

I get the feeling of Paper Mario. For you who don't understand what Im talking about I mean that it feels like a thatre-scene where painted papers are put up in rows. And since I really like Paper Mario I also like this. ;) But then you need all your bg's to be like this too keep the pleasant feeling of flatness.

I also want a manly hug.

I'm naked by the way.

what the heck? Drawing straight on the screen? I think that would suck hard.

There is a screen built-in in the tablet. But those costs way too much.
A pentablet is a great compliment to computer art and you can use it differentely depending on what style you want to get. The pressure levels are very useful and there is many things you can do that is very hard with traditional methods. For example the Airbrush-method; draw a marking and the spray a gradient color along the figure. And who amateur has an airbrush-set at home?

Oh I didn't imagine I would get so much response :)
Thanks alot for the help. I really like the sketch by MrColossal. Maybe I'll remake everything to it. Then it'll probably fit for an adventure game too.

I wonder if there could be such a thing as a background library, where gamebuilders can find what they like. Im not a programmer myself, but I'd like to make some backgrounds, though Im too lazy to make hundreds of them. If it's a good idea there should be some predefined styles that the background-makers should copy. Just a though..

Good work!
If you make the shadows not erase the black outlines it'd be better.
Maybe a tv could be placed in front of the sofa. A livingroom without a tv feels a bit naked.

Thanks for the advices! I worked a bit more on the perspective, the mountains and the sky. As for the stump I want the feeling of a rarely used countryroad so I think it should be like it is.
Now it's only the bridge left to be detailed, and maybe the house...

Hey folks! This is my first creative post here but feel free to come with your very best creative criticism. I can take it. I made it with a pen tablet in photoshop. Im not so sure about the colours. Also the sky, water, mountains and the ground looks strange. Any suggestions?
