I may join although it's a bit late now, I won't have much time to put something together. How many rooms, minimum, can we have for a mags?

Hi guys! Sorry, it's been a while. I hope all is well with everyone. I began working full time and have been very busy. I'd like to give you a little update.

Here's my full intro (still incomplete and missing graphics) but at least you can see how it plays out. :smiley:

~~~~~ KQ4 Intro ~~~~~
I've also been busy with another project called Mass Effect: Second Chances. I honestly don't have much free time to work on any of my projects, but I try.
Hi guys! I've been working hard on getting the intro to look how I want it to. Here you can see the beginning of the introduction:
Great to see you take up this project again! These screens are so charming, though! I agree with Trapezoid that they compare favorably with many Sierra games.
Some of the greatest background I ever saw! Please go on.
I agree wholeheartedly when it comes to the backgrounds - these are much better than the 3D rendered graphics we saw before, and even better than many old Sierra games!
Still, you returning to Perils is great, great news, and the game looks as gorgeous as ever (nod)
This is indeed fantastic, Nightfable! I hope you find the time to keep up your amazing work, as, in my opinion, anyway, it is a truly great rendition of the classic KQ4, which was, and continue to be, loved by so many..!
Thanks everyone! Your feedback means a lot and is inspiring me to keep going.
Hi. My name is Audrey, I'm 32 and I have two kids and a husband. I like to play most video games, but I'm especially fond of old adventure games. I like to draw and eat poutines. I don't like rainy days and I'm really excited getting sunny weather. I log on here and then suddenly disappear for months or years. I've got tons of ideas in my head, and usually end up with too many projects on the go. I have three old cats and two birds. I love watching funny videos on Youtube.
I've been a member of the AGS community for 11 years, but I still feel like a noob.
I was playing around with AGS today, scratching my head and wondering how to put these animations together (and if they'd look right). I ended up with putting together part of the intro. :-D
- Flying hat and talking Graham animation ALL DONE!! ;-D
- I'm currently working on the crying Rosella cutscene. I've animated the magic mirror and flames in the background.
To give you an idea, these are the animations I am working on at the moment. They are part of the intro and are unfinished.
If I can get past these detailed intro cut-scenes, it should get easier for me.
In honor of the late Karen who dedicated all of her spare time on remaking KQ4 in beautiful 3D graphics, I want to announce that we are continuing our work on our remake.
We would like to finish a demo at least. I'm very busy, I don't have much spare time to give, but I haven't lost my passion for adventure games and the King's Quest series.
I feel very sad that Karen has passed away. May she rest in peace knowing that she brought wonder and magic to many.:cry::~(
I'm so happy to inform you, Natalie Loftarse offered to be Jack's voice in Finding Shepard. She plays Jack in Koobismo's Maurauder Shields audio books you can find on DeviantArt.
I am ecstatic beyond belief and am blown away by all the positive feedback my little, non-commercial, fan project is getting!!  ;-D
I'm working extra hard on the demo which will be released asap. There are sprites to animate, backgrounds to finish painting, etc. I will keep you guys informed on this thread.
Presenting: Finding Shepard (A Mass Effect Fangame)
This is my 3rd thread in the GiP forums, so hopefully 3rd time's a charm.  :P
In order to get used to AGS, I'm working on a short post Mass Effect 3 fangame (destroy ending), where Jack has to find a way to the Citadel to rescue Commander Shepard. Her amplifiers were taken away by the Alliance, because she has punched Admiral Hackett in the face for being told Shepard is most likely dead. She's on house arrest and must find her way out of the highrise building she is currently residing in. There is plenty of F-bombs and swearing, like our good ol' psychotic biotic.
Miranda, Wrex and Kasumi will also be part of the game.
ME3 left me with many unanswered questions...
So, here I am, making a Mass Effect adventure fangame.
In-game screenshots:
Sorry, Corby. I forgot to mention that this game uses a verb coin. Let me know how it goes! The little box at the top left is the inventory.
Grats on releasing the game Nightfable.
Thanks Agentbauer! I very much appreciate your feedback!  :-D
Congrats for your first one - also making it in six days is near to unbelievable
Thanks Tabata!
Funny thing is, I got completely stuck with room variable coding that wouldn't work, so I said 'Fuuuu--! Screw this!' and ended up duplicating my backgrounds & characters instead.
Whatever works, right?  (laugh)
