Oooo, I love her new design! *applause* Does it take long to animate a walk-cycle in 3D? I'm struggling with the my pixel-art Rosella walk-cycles -- I find the animations tougher to do than painting the backgrounds.

Wait.  You turned Shepard into Riddick?  Is this some kind of meme I haven't heard about?  :=

Code to make a Riddick look-alike in Mass Effect 2: 531.WW1.HW1.C31.3PS.BDW.1C9.9Q1.1G3.1I8.137.6 Enjoy! ;)

By the way, for the Jack fans out there - here's a gem of a fanfic! ---> http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6149924/1/Our_Love_Is_Problematic

I found these yesterday:

*** ME3 Jack dialogues. Some of them spoilerish if you didn't know about certain squad mates. Highlight to read.

Spoiler
Joker: Hey, Jack, now that you're military, you gonna wear a uniform? Or are you just getting the officer's bars tattooed on?
Jack: Screw you, f... flight lieutenant.

Jack: Bite me, Garrus. Better yet, bite her. Probably how she likes it.
Good to see you again, Garrus. Face still looks like ****.

Jack: Hey, EDI. Nice body. Now you look like a sex bot instead of a sex toy.

Jack: What the hell are you?
Prothean: Fifty-thousand years older than you.
Jack: No ****. Shepard does find the weird ones.

Liara: I'd forgotten how angry she was.
Jack: Whereas I barely remember you at all, Blue.
Liara: Your real first name is Jennifer. I can find your last name if you ask politely.

Shepard: Jack, wait! This kid's in shock. Can you help him?
Jack: I'll try.
Whoa!
Shepard: That was creative.
Jack: What? You thought I was gonna bounce him off the ceiling?
Shepard: Never crossed my mind.
Jack: dick.

My girlfriend loves Mass Effect more than she loves me :(

You sound like my husband, LOL!!  ;)

Yes, it is blocked, but if you really, really want something and try hard ...

I really don't see the reason to block video/audio content from certain countries... this is the INTERWEBS y'all!!

I wholeheartedly agree with WHAM!  8)

Here's my Jack & Shepard tribute video I made ---> http://youtu.be/CQ8Q0npYUas

This is fantastic!  :o
Thank you for sharing!
Really veeery good!

Thanks!  ;D Were you able to view the video ok? YouTube tells me it's blocked in some countries because of the song I used.  :'(

I love to roleplay in Mass Effect. I never liked Miranda so I never did her side mission. I prioritized by what felt realistic and urgent, and thus skipped a lot of optional stuff as "unimportant for the mission". As a result, my world is far from perfect, and I love it that way.  ;)

Aren't you afraid you'll miss out on important stuff in ME3 though?

Warning, Mass Effect 3 Spoiler:
Spoiler
For example, I've read in the leaked script that if Jack has died in ME2, she won't be able to protect Kahlee with a protective biotic shield in ME3, resulting in her death.

I'm not sure if my brain is ready to handle that much awesome, especially after ME2.

I bet you will be one of the first in line to get it!  ;)

My husband has his copy pre-ordered, and I'll buy my own on release day so that we can co-op together.

Can't waaaaait!!

Anyone on these forums as excited as I am?  ;D What are you looking forward to the most in the coming game?

I just discovered Mass Effect 2, two months ago because of my husband harassing me to play it. He was able to goad me into it by telling me of a way of making a Riddick/Vin Diesel look-alike. As I am a HUGE Riddick (and sci-fi) fan, I played it and absolutely fell in love with the game.

I romanced Jack, the tattooed biotic convict with my male Shepard.. and it was totally worth the trouble. LOL! ^^

Ever since finishing the game, I've been scouring the net for fanfics and fanart. Since there isn't much love for Jack out there, I started drawing my own fanart. I will share my new obsession with you.  :)

Here's my Jack & Shepard tribute video I made ---> http://youtu.be/CQ8Q0npYUas

And here's a fanart I drew:

You worked on The Silver Lining? That is so cool!!  :D

Your screens are gorgeous, how long does it get you to make one background? What program do you use?

I find the graphics really pretty and charming; you'll easily find people interested in joining your team.

Keep it up and don't let anything get you down!  :)

Hey Snarky, what could I do to make it less busy without taking away important elements? I've been asking myself that... maybe Lolotte's cloud and castle? The dwarves? The chicken? It's definitely too busy!! I'll go play around with my layers.

Even though there may be composition problems, I really don't want to start reconstructing this picture and start all over - it took me so long to get here...

I appreciate the constructive criticism, I have a lot of new ways to bettering my problem areas.

I really like what you've done Buckethead. Do you find the picture becomes a bit dark though?

My first intention was to go with bright colors similar to a Walt Disney movie cover.

That's why it looks so cartoony. ^^
#77
Is this a bit better?

Thanks for the great advice, I'm trying my hardest to make this work.

Hey, I'm back on here again!  ;D

I've been slaving on this one picture and I intend to finish it today or for tomorrow.

I'd love to get your advice on things that would enhance, and make this picture more professional looking. I think I've looked at it way too much.. A different perspective on this would really be appreciated.

Thanks!!  :)

Thanks guys! :D We'll eventually make a "In production" thread for this remake and post more screenshots and other graphics. We're currently working hard on finishing the intro, then we can hop on to the demo.

@ Loominous: Very good advice, I'll keep that in mind when coloring backgrounds.  I keep forgetting to take into account the lightsource. Already, my main throne room is looking better with your help:

@ ProgZmax: What's happening is that when King Graham throws his hat, it's drawing towards the end of the afternoon and into the evening. The torches aren't lit yet because it's still light outside, but once king Graham is lying in bed close to death and Rosella leaves the room, it's already the evening; the torches are lit and the attention is being drawn to the magic mirror.

I'll try and make the beams of light less distracting.  :) Btw, I find that they attract the attention to Graham's hat on the little table.  ;)

@ Snarky: Thanks! I agree with you, I'll keep the other style of shading as a dramatic effect. I don't want to lose the King's Quest feel.
