It almost looks like it's some sort of reference to smoking.  I could almost see it being used in one of those *truth commercials.

give it a chance!

I think the first three paragraphs of this person's post pretty much sums up my feelings about the whole ordeal.  That was basically why I started this topic.

Anyway, Yahtzee, himself, has made a minor announcement concerning this project.  So, I guess there really isn't any need to further discussion in this thread.

I found this: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=433216

Why would anybody want to take a classic game like that and crap it all up with 3D?

Also, with this talk of "commercial potential", and it "being longer" just somehow didn't settle in my stomach quite right.    Does Yahtzee know about all this?

Just thought I'd throw this out there.

For some reason I'm getting Justin Timberlake???

You're thinking of "Cry Me A River", and no, I don't think that's it.  I'd bet my teeth on it.

Anyway, I also think it sounds vaguely familiar.  Now it's stuck in my head, and it's going to bother the crap out of me.  Thanks, Tuomas. :P

After reading, and re-reading the first part of your story, I just can't understand how you got into this accident.  It's all registering in my brain as "blah blah blah...".

But, at least you're okay, and so is the other guy.  That's all that should matter.

Don't waste your time wondering about the what-ifs of the past.  There's nothing you can do about it now.  Focus on the what-ifs of the future, and you'll be able to prevent things like this from happening again.

I'm sure your parents will have another vehicle soon.  Because I think that in all states, except mine, you're obligated to have insurance on your vehicles, for each person driving the vehicle.  Insurance should cover the cost of damages to your parents' car.

You could try Anim8or, or Wings.

I listed my profile earlier in this thread, but since everyone is adding their bands, I figured I'd add mine: On The Anvil

There are no pictures, or music yet , because we're just getting started.  But, it might give you something to look forward to.

But thinking about the fact that I'm finally going to get my paycheck this week does brighten the mood a bit.

The first paycheck from your new job always makes it 1000% better.  After that; a magnificent week, or a horrendous one; payday always makes it all unimportant.

I've got the same problem with my big toes going numb (well, the one has always been numb because of my accident).  I've got huge calluses on the outer edge of my toes, and I can't feel a thing.

I've got a few Elizabeths where I work.  Don't let them bother you.  Beleive me, I've had it up to here with people talking down to me like I'm mentally retarded, and people who've been there just as long as I have, and are not supervisors, but they still insist on trying to order me around.  Especially if the supervisor himself just told me to do the exact opposite.  It's frustrating, but don't sink to their level.  Just do what came there to do.

I'm still trying to figure out how to make this work.  :P

With the exception of my stint as a telemarketer, most of my jobs have been manual labor.  Right now, I work in a hard wood flooring factory; 10 hour days, 4 days a week.  I start at 2:30 PM, and I get done at 1:00 AM.  When I come home, I usually have to wait for my wife to get done farting around on SWYDM and MySpace.  Then I sit down, try to get all of the goofing off out of my system, but by the time I done with that, it's usually about 4:00 AM.  Then it's time to go to bed.  I usually like to try and spend the weekend time with my wife and son, because I never get to see them much during the week.

So, for now, I'm just stuck with a lot of built up ambition, and the frustration that I can't really do something with any of it.

Manual labor always seems like it's worse than it really is.  Sometimes, you may come home without an ounce of energy enough to even change out of your dirty clothes, but at least you know you got something worthwhile done during the course of the day.  It's an honest way to make a living.  That's something to be proud of, because I've met people who quit working at McDonald's after 2 days because they said it was "too hard".  Then they went back to collecting welfare from the state, and selling pot on the side.

Yeah, I always try to read what people got, and like CJ, I'm never amused. But I still feel the need to write out what I got.

Same here.

It's a little bit like the people who were fooled by that "AGS is going commercial" April Fools post TWO YEARS after the joke started and felt they had to post "Wha-a-a-at? Is AGS really going commercial??"

That was only a joke?

What the hay.  I'll jump on the bandwagon.

From my wife: Morrowind: The Elder Scrolls 3 (Finally, I own it!)
From my parents: A cookbook.
From my wife's parents: A $40 gift certificate for a really nice restaraunt here in town.
From my sister: A basket of home-made cookies, and a $50 dollar Wal-Mart gift card.

Cut the man some slack.

It never fails, every year there's always someone new(er) who posts a new thread about this.  I think we just have to face the facts on this; it's going to happen every year, whether we like it or not.

On Christmas Eve, I usually get together with my immediate family; my mom, stepdad, my sister, and her boyfriend.  We exchange gifts, have some snacks, and watch a little tv.  This year, my wife and I invited my parents, my sister, and her boyfriend over to our house.

On Christmas Day, one of my aunts (one of the three that live nearby) holds a get-together at their house.  So we all head over there, have some food (usually a ham, with some other side dishes), exchange some more gifts, have a drink (mostly beer), and socialize, and that's the last time we hear from or see each other until the following Thanksgiving.

...I take that back.  In mid-January, my aunt from Illinois comes up for a visit, and my family holds a "second Christmas".

Usually there's a lot of snow, none this year, it's the first time when I've been alive.

There is no snow here, either.  Which is funny, because it's usually knee-deep by now.  All we've gotten this year is a light dusting.  I can't say it's not cold enough for it, though.

...2x big bags of hot cheetos: ($6.00)
...a BIG amount of hot Beef jerky (over 1lb): (~$20.00)
...A 24 crate of mountain dew: ($7.00)
...some fruity loops with the marsh mallows in: (~$3.00)

The worst case of diabetes I have ever seen, and burning farts in the morning... PRICELESS!

What's with people continually using the word "wierd"? It looks weird.

"'i' before 'e', except after 'c'"?
