The Rumpus Room / Re: How did you find AGS?

...I could have SWORN I replied to this topic a few times already...

*looks around at all of the moderators*
...One of you doesn't like me...

I found AGS on Yahoo! search.  I wanted to make games, so I typed something along the lines of "free game making software" and hit the enter key.

I don't really know what kind of pointers to give, but she's still too "stiff", even after all of your edits, imo.

I used to use a pen name for everything internet-related that I did (forums, profiles, etc), for paranoia reasons, and I was going to use it in the credits for my games... if and when they ever got finished.  But now, I can't exactly remember what those paranoia-related reasons are, though.  ???  I'm just wierd like that.

I realised how dumb it was, so I just recently decided to start using my real name... my REAL, real name. :P

Hopefully this sequel will be more fun to play.

It looks good so far.

I got 12, then I looked to see what some of the answers were, and I ended up slapping my forehead a few times.  I already knew a few more of the answers, I just mostly thought about basic things, "60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, 52 weeks in a year, 100 years in a century... etc."

Did anyone get number 14?

I like Rammstein.  Du Reich So Gut, Fier Fruer, and a few others (sorry, Du Hast is not one of them... I've grown a little bit sick of that song).

It's all ripped sprites from NES, SNES, and Genesis games, but you could try The People's Sprites.

I think you can use most of them if you like, but you'll more than likely have to give credit of some kind.

I saw El_Drey's post, and I felt compelled to make one of my hero:

Most of you should be able to figure out who it is.

I don't know whether to dig up the last thread, or what.  So, I guess I'll just post it here.

EDIT:
I saw the background, and I had to do this one...

Dawn Of The Dead!

Wisconsin.  So you must be in the central time zone as well.

I am in a paralell universe where time does not apply.  It's called spending New Year's nursing your girlfriend's morning sickness. :P

Just kidding.  It's 9:45 p.m. here.

I suppose if they did start protecting people's work, you'd probably have to pay for some kind of premium account to get your work protected.

On the other hand, Photobucket is no different.  Your work goes completely unprotected.  I can't even fathom how many photos and pixels I've "stolen" from there (mind you, I never would even think about trying to pass it off as my own).  They do offer a premium account, but as far as I know, it only gives you more storage space.

I'm all about protecting my work.  I don't do much, and it's really not the greatest, but I still don't want some chump swiping it and saying that he drew it himself.

EDIT:
Actually, I've been thinking... I don't really think they're going to listen to little old me, seeing as I'm a n00b there, and I'm only one person.  I think it would make more sense to "gang up" on them, if I were to say something.  Get more than one person to bring this up to them.

Yeah, ProgZMax nailed it right on the nuts.  But I appreciate all of the help Akumayo, Mozza, and everyone else gave.  :)

I'm still working on mine.  Maybe I'll repost with it when I'm finished.  Awesome Piece, ProgZ.  I wish I had the patience to put that kind of detail into something so small. :P

True.  There should be a little tick-box there, for when you first upload a piece, that you click if you don't want the piece to be copied.  So if someone right-clicks on it, it will say something along the lines of,
" Pixeljoint.com
We don't take kindly to plagiarism!
"

They already have a tick-box so that you can specify if you will allow people to use your work as an avatar.

Matter of fact, I think I will say something about this to them, personally...
