I fixed it a little.

1. I mixed some new orange-ish browns for the top of the head.
2. I tried widening the eyes.

In the first row is the original.
The second row shows the eyes wider, but with that dopey, almost sad-looking thing he's got going on with his eyebrows in the first reference photo.
The third row shows his eyes full open.

Actually, that orange on the top of his head is supposed to be like that.  It's like that in the movie:

Here's a model someone did:

I do like Mozza's paint over.  Although, I will try to reduce the luminance some.

Cool beans, boys.

I've been trying to make a sprite of the "Tar Man" zombie from Return Of The Living Dead.  But, I'm having a little trouble.  I've been working on his head for about 2 hours now, and I can't quite seem to get it to look right (at least to me, anyway).  It's a little difficult to get it to look right because the sprite, so far, is very small.

So, I thought I'd ask for some of your help...

These are the heads.

Here's a little blow-up for you:

...And here is my reference image:

EDIT: Sorry about that...

Any suggestions?  Do I already have a head that looks just fine?  I know it's a dumb question, but it's really bugging the crap out of me.

I just started an account on Pixel Joint.  But I was wondering if anyone else from here has an account there?  So far, I've found Helm, Big Brother, and Darth Mandarb.

We can't really help you, just give you e-support and e-friendship.

I know.  That's all I really need. :)

Heh.  Thank you, SSH.  I was really hoping you would comment, as I would trust your advice on this more than anybody else.

She's not a smoker, but she has given up on partying and drinking.  That was the first thing she said.  EDIT: I'll still have the occasional brew, but it looks like smoking for me is out the door once and for all.

I know I really don't do well with children (especially babies), as I'm a very impatient person.    But maybe you're right.  This may do me some good.

Barbarian:  I just think that it really shouldn't matter if she and I are married or not.  Her parent would want us to be married before the child is born, apparently.  To me, a marriage license and a wedding and all that is just more money in the garbage can that could be put towards more useful things.  Also, I understand what you mean about being "forced".  All things considered, I'm not ready for something like that, either.

I trust her, but I guess a paternity test won't hurt.  A real doctor doing a real pregnancy test is something I'm definitely interested in.  As far as adoption, I'm open to it, while it saddens me a bit to be giving up my first child to someone I don't even know (especially if it's a little girl...).  But I really don't think she would be willing to part with it in any way.  She seems standoffish about the idea.

At this time, we are trying to be as mature and level-headed about this as possible.  Right now, I figure she and I have about 8 months to get our affairs in order.

I appreciate your input as well. Thank you.

General Discussion / I'm going to be a father.
Mon 19/12/2005 13:49:57
For the last couple weeks, my girlfriend had been showing signs of moodiness, fatigue, and extreme cravings.  She was also 2 weeks late.

So, she took a home pregnancy test tonight.  It came out positive.

Needless to say, when we saw the little "plus" sign on the stick, we both just about shit our pants.  She started crying, I started shaking and freaking out.  An hour or so later, we both had calmed down, and started joking about it as if it was no big deal (talking about funny baby names, and who's going to get up in the middle of the night).

I'm so not ready for something like this...  We don't have the money to raise a child.  She and I still have a lot of growing up to do.  She and I have only been dating since September 7, so we haven't been dating long.

All I can think about right now is diapers, bottles, sleepless nights, and placenta.

I don't know how we are going to tell our families.  My mom and stepdad will probably be ecstatic.  Her dad is probably going to disembowel me.

She mentioned that her parents will want us to get married.  Is that really necessary?  The baby is going to be born whether we're married or not.  It's not like the child will be disfigured or downtrod if we aren't.

I would never even think about abortion.  I'm totally pro-choice, but I'm not even going to ponder on it.  I have mentioned adoption... someone else could give the child a life that we can't offer, a better life.  I don't know if she wholly agrees with that, if at all.  I'm not afraid to step up and be a man, but I'm trying to explore other options (they seem very limited...).

My mom had my older sister when she was 18.  Her mom had her when she was 16.  I'm 23, and she's 19.  Isn't it funny how history repeats itself?

I'm going to have her take another pregnancy test.  They're only 99% accurate.  That leaves room for a 1% margin of error.  (who the fuck am I kidding?  I'm screwed...)

I know it sounds really selfish, but I'm really regretting this.  Right now, I want to scream at the top of my lungs, "It was an accident!!!!  I didn't mean for this to happen!!!!".  I didn't plan on children until later in life, when I knew it was something that I would be able to handle (money-wise and sanity-wise).

Thoughts?

EDIT:  Here's a picture of us.  She wonders if the child will be cute...?

I'm just doing this to vent, so feel free to ignore me.

Dimebag Darrell was also shot and killed, one year ago today (the same day as Lennon to clarify, as my post is a few hours late) by an angry fan who was upset about the breakup of Pantera.  I didn't hear a single damn thing about him on the radio, or television.  Kinda pisses me off.

I have nothing against Lennon, from what I've mostly heard, he was a great guy, and his music was okay, but what makes him so fucking special?  Darrell, from what I've heard, was also a great guy.  He loved people.  I've heard stories about him giving away amps, pedals, and guitars to kids who were down on their luck.  Just like Lennon, he loved music, and was good at writing it.  Lennon may have been an influence to a lot of modern music, but so was Darrell.

I realize that the media (the local and national news) may not be familiar with heavy metal news and icons (Pantera wouldn't be their first choice in music, but the Beatles would be).  But I think that is somewhat stupid, because Darrell was a human being too, not just some drunken metal-head low-life like many people would think.

I must have heard about Lennon's death 20-some-odd times on the radio today, but not one word about Darrell.

So this ends my interruption of the thread about John Lennon's death, to give some credit where I felt it was due.

I used to think MySpace was okay, until all of this "whoring" business started.  My god.

These dumb fuckers go around posting umpteen bulletins telling people to "add this person because they're fekkin awesome!!!!".  It's annoying.  They're basically trying to see how many friends they can add to their friends list, like the person who has the most added friends is anyone special because of it.

My girlfriend does it, and I really think it's utterly stupid.

Cool beans, Manic Matt.  I'll see you on MySpace.

Anarcho, I added you.  Drop me a line sometime.

I think that Venom is a symbiote that Peter found when he was transfered along with all the super heros somewhere to fight each other by Beyonder. He kept the uniform but realized that it was "alive" so he had Dr. Incredible take it of him. After that I sort of lost track as to what happened, cause I stoped reading Spider man (Damn!)

Spider man left the suit to die in a church, where it was found by Eddie Brock.  Both Eddie and the suit shared a hatred for Spider-Man, so the suit attached itself to Eddie, and the two of them vowed to destroy Spider-Man.

Even though it'd be awesome to see Venom in the next Spider-Man, I'm not really sure how they could fit this story into the movie.

Just found this...

IMO, I'd rather see Mysterio than Sandman.  :-\  I read that Kirsten Dunst says that this will be her last Spider-Man movie, unless Sam Raimi and the rest of the crew stays on.  Bad news?

Sorry for the double-post.

I just hope they have Apocalypse as a villian at some point...he's so badass.

Apocalypse would be an awesome addition to the film series, I'd love to see him make an appearance.  Although, from what I understand, the original cast from the first movie was only signed on to make two sequels, so there may or may not be another one after this.

Then again, The Angel is finally making an appearance, so if they do make another sequel (which I think they probably will) maybe they will add in Apocalypse, and we may end up getting to see Archangel as well.

A few others I'd like to see: The Blob (definitely, just for laughs... "Nothing can stop the blob!" XD), and Omega Red.

My most awaited is Spider-man 3, though... Rumours talk about lizard or Venom as the next enemy. Anyone has a clue?

Kirsten Dunst accidentally revealed in an interview that there are two badguys in the next Spider-man movie: Venom & Sandman.

Personally I thought Sandman was a bit obscure, & I'm not sure how Harry will fit into it all, but I hope Sam can pull a greta movie out of the bag again.

The actors for both parts were also revealed, but I cannot remember them at the moment. I'd google, but I'm afraid I'm in a rush.

Around the time Spider-Man 2 came out on DVD, I DO remember hearing that there would be two villians, but I don't remember who... I thought I heard something about Mysterio...  I also do not remember where I heard this.  Now that I think about it, I think I also heard Venom (Farlander is right about Jameson's son having a party celebrating his career with NASA in SM2), or the Lizard (Kurt Connors did show up in Spidey 2), not sure.

I don't mind if they keep making Spidey sequels, but I personally hope that Harry and this Green Goblin business just disappears for a while...

It looks like the second X-Men sequel is finally coming.  Sometime in May of 2006.

I just found some newly released pics of the movie.

It looks like they've got Kelsey Grammer (Dr. Frasier Crane) playing the role of Beast.  That's a perfect casting, if you ask me.  Some years ago, a friend of mine and I tried to figure out who would play who if they ever made an X-Men movie, and I figured Grammer would be perfect fit for the Beast.  I also said Gary Busey would be perfect for the role of Cable, but I have yet to see if that works...

Anyway, the Angel (not Archangel yet) is also making an appearance, played by actor Ben Foster ("Flash Forward", the pierced kid in "The Punisher").  You can see pictures of Beast and Angel here.

According to Movies Online, the story is supposed to go directly into the Dark Phoenix Saga.  Some other characters who are rumored to be appearing are Gambit, Psylocke, Juggernaut, and the Sentinels.  You can see a rough casting call on IMDB.  Apparently, the entire original cast will be returning for this sequel.

I can't wait.  Does anyone else have any other news on this movie, or any other comic based movies?

Good morning to you too, Petey.

Well, I woke up by banging my elbow (my funny bone) on the nightstand next to my bed in an attempt to stretch my arm.  I cussed out loud, waking my girlfriend up.

It was about 6:30 a.m., so I laid in bed listening to the radio and hopefully I would fall back asleep.  Never happened.

So, I got up and had a smoke and a can of pop (the breakfast of champions).

I looked up the number for this place I applied for a job at, and while I was doing that, my girlfriend was looking at the local news, and found that this one woman I know from here in town died on Saturday morning in an automobile accident.

So, I read the article, and am currently doing this, while she is sitting on the couch eating a bowl of cereal and watching "Deuce Bigelow: European Gigolo".

At about noon, we'll be leaving for Shawano to go see her grandpa, and her mom at work.  I'll be going to Wal-Mart to see about getting my tires changed.

I have the core book for All Flesh Must Be Eaten, but I've still never been able to play it with anyone.  :(

You should go with the Unisystem rules. (I think that's what it's called...)

As everyone knows, the holidays can be somewhat unpleasant.  "Is it New Year's yet?! Gawd, I need a friggin' drink..."  Now that we've finally managed to squeeze out the defiant turd that is Thanksgiving, now we have to deal with the hemorrhoid that is Christmas.

Anyway, what does everyone hope to find underneath their tree this year?

Here's my wishlist:
- An I-Pod Nano
- A DZ501 5 megapixel digital camera
- A Marshall AVT150H full stack
- Socks and underwear (I just remembered, I actually NEED both of those)
