Avril!? XD

Well, I guess I'd rather listen to Avril than a bunch of buff sweaty dudes in loin cloths who refer to themselves as "Conan The Headbanger". XD

Sorry, just kidding.  I'll shut up now.

*Tries to remember*

I've had so many projects that I wanted to do, worked on them some, and then just lost interest in them... Even before AGS came into my life.

Well, these 3 are the earliest I can remember.
- Pre-AGS - A knock-off of "Solar Winds".  I thought that game rocked, so I started making my own sprites of ships, then I just kinda forgot about it.
- A zombie game.  (Who'da thunk it?)  It was supposed to be this huge 3d game, with all sorts of guns... I never got any farther than drawing some crap for it on a pad of notebook paper.  ...Wait, I did make some isometric backgrounds, and I ripped off these anime-looking avatars (I forget the site) and modified them, and made a small one-room demo, but nothing more than that.  That accidentally got deleted.
- The first AGS game I remember working on (actually WORKING ON, not just saying that I was working on it), was a game called "...Am I Evil?".  It was about a guy who had a split personality (much like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde).  I was going to incorporate this "Anger Meter" which would force the main character to switch personalities, totally changing the plot of the game until he became his normal self again (I found out later that "Grr... Bearly Sane" already used this idea).  I made some rooms and sprites, but then lost interest and gave up on it.  The sprites are now being used (although slightly modified) in "The Dead Walk!" (yes, I'm still working on that one... no, seriously!...).

I listen to power metal. You know, stuff like Rhapsody and Avantasia.

You'd be surprised how many people insinuate gayness after hearing me say that. It's stupid, but I refuse to let it impair my love for epic fantasy power unicorn metal!

OMG, what a queer!  He's likes POWER METAL! XD

Sorry, just kidding.  Up until a few days ago, I didn't even know what power metal was.  All I knew is that Pantera titled their very first album with that name, so that's what I thought it was.

Then a few days ago, I saw an article in the paper.  It was talking about the different types of metal.  There was biker metal, black metal, etc.  Then they talked about power metal.  They said these musicians made songs about things like wizards and barbarians, and stuff straight out of Tolkien (sp?).  They also showed this band (I don't remember the name) but it was a bunch of guys wearing loincloths.

I can only think of 3:
Crazy Town - I loved their first album.  If you actually sit and listen to it, it's not really all that bad.
Jewel - Not all of her stuff is my cup of tea, but she has some good stuff.
Kelly Clarkson - Come on, you know you like her too.

Heh.  Maybe you and I can quit together. We'll do a "buddy system" type of thing.

What Snarky said.

Plus, he's too stiff, make him loosen up a bit as he walks, other wise he looks like he's a robot or something.

Alright, you two.  Knock it off before I make you sit in separate corners.

What you could try doing is de-pixellating the map, just try and smooth it out by removing few pixels here and there.

Petey:  It was supposed to be all about "beleiving", when it came to the silver earrings, and the asthma inhaler.  "This is what will kill the thing of my nightmares"

You know, the one kid was having nightmares about the wolfman, and silver supposedly kills werewolves.  As for the asthma inhaler, I don't have a clue where that came from.  :P

I seriously hope that you don't actually beleive that.  :-\

However, I have to deny everyone who said zombie movies and serial killer movies and stuff like that are scary too. Once again, ludicrissimo...

HERETIC!  HEATHEN!  Just kidding.  Zombie movies were really only scary for me when I was younger.  Now, zombies are just an obsession due to the extreme fear I had as a child for them.  You would not beleive THE NIGHTMARES I had from watching Return Of The Living Dead, and the music video for Michael Jackson's Thriller.

Quote from: esper on Wed 28/09/2005 09:39:01I would wonder how many people that have been posting here actually BELIEVE in the supernatural... It's cool to read books and watch movie and all that crap... But how many people actually believe in the supernatural? Alot of us say we are atheists, which would mean there is no room for the supernatural... But anyone who believes in ANY kind of religion should believe in the supernatural or just not believe in their religion. You can't have one without the other...

I prefer not to practice any religion, and I consider myself not to be of any denomination at all.  Not agnostic, not atheist, just nothing.  But I still do believe in the supernatural, in spite of that.  There are things in this universe that don't need to be explained with religion or faith.  There's always science, or a lack thereof, if you know what I mean by that.  I beleive in ghosts, I strongly believe I've seen one or two, and lately, I've been trying to catch them on film, and record EVP.  (putting my self at risk of having the rest of the forum laughing at me...) I also beleive in the existence of vampires, werewolves, aliens, and possibly zombies as well.  I'm not saying they DO exist, but I beleive that somehow it's possible.

So the high E string(s) are tuned to "A" instead of "E"?

I have heard some of Leo Kottke's stuff, it was really quite a trip.  I like him almost as much as I like Laurence Juber.

Jimmy Page made one work for him, I guess.  You know, he always had that double-neck SG, but I don't ever remember him using it for lead.

Dimebag Darrell also used one at least once that I know of, you can hear it if you listen to "Suicide Note, Pt. 1".  From the sound of it, he may or may not have used one for the intro to "Avoid The Light".

I've only gotten to play a 12 string once, at first I didn't know what to think of it.  But then I realized, "Oh, you're supposed to play each pair of strings as if it's ONE string."  ::) :P  I think the only really hard thing about a 12 string is tuning it properly.  I still haven't figured that out... something to do with octaves.

Minimi, good to see you're still alive and well. ;)

I love horror movies, and although I don't think many of the horror movies released today are really scary enough (if at all) to be worthy of the title "horror movie", I don't exactly think American horror movies suck.

I agree 100% with what Darth said.  Then again, I don't really blame you for not realising that the Japanese' perception of horror is very different from the American's view.  It can be very spine chilling.  Because I think the one thing that is the scariest is what you don't understand.

"IT" used to be scary (when I was 10), the Grudge wasn't really that scary, I thought the  Ring was pretty lame.

Stephen King is an ok writer, but what about Wes Craven?  John Carpenter?  M. Night Shyamalan does a pretty good job, too.

I don't know if anybody would consider this a "villain" (definetly not a SUPERvillain), but I think the best protagonist would have to be Percy in the movie the Green Mile.  He was such a little turd.  Everyone I know who saw that movie said they hated him as well.

That's a pretty interesting article, Geoff.Ã,  The thought that people with amputated limbs may be able to have them back someday without the need for prosthesis or cybernetics is quite astonishing.

My He-Man figures.  I had so many of them, I had one guy who was made of moss, and another guy who looked like a skunk and smelled really bad, and another guy who could turn into a rock (looking back, some of those character concepts are really hokey).

I don't have any pics, but I found a page with all of them listed here.

I'm not exactly sure what the most popular newspaper is in the U.S.  I'd have to say, "The Onion", IMO.

The story sounds kind of interesting... I guess I'd like to read more of the actual story before I were to offer any useful critique.

I found out this year that I'm allergic to penacillan. I got a nice rash almost all over my body which lasted a couple of weeks and was very uncomfortable. A pic is here if you really wanted to see.

Sweet Jesus! :O

Ishmael:  ADHD is an acronym for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.  I honestly don't know much about it, the doctor just said, "You have ADHD.  Here's some lithium.".  There are times when I get extremely hyperactive (won't shut up, being really loud and obnoxious), and I'm really twitchy; I rapidly tap my foot or bounce my knee for long periods of time, or tap my pencil on my desk in high school, I pretty much can't sit still at times.  And there are also times where I can't focus on what I'm doing (especially if it's boring me to death), so my attention is constantly drifting away to other things.

Well, you could do 1 of 2 things:

To change the cursor mode toÃ,  the pointer:
1. mouse.Mode = eModePointer
(in pre-AGS 2.7 script, this would be: SetCursorMode(6))
-or-
To change the graphic of the cursor, so it LOOKS like the pointer (it will still function as whatever the current cursor mode is set to):
2. mouse.ChangeModeGraphic (*the mode you are changing the graphic of*, sprite slot #)
(in pre-AGS 2.7 script, this would be: ChangeCursorGraphic(sprite #))

If you can't use the old scripting language (from before AGS 2.7), go to the main AGS menu, look under "Script", and make sure that "Enforce object-based scripting" isn't checked.

Hope it helps.

BTW, love your Slipknot avatar. :)

EDIT: Whoo... k, I'm done.

O_o... oh, "uvula"... I thought he wrote something else.... :j

So you can't snort like a pig?

Were you born that way? Or did you have it lasered off to keep you from snoring?
