Welcome.

That's really cool of you :).  Even though I'm fairly decent with art, I can't do walkcycles for the life of me.  This may come in handy.

Enjoy your stay.

Sorry about the wait.Ã,  First I didn't know I had won, then I couldn't come up with an idea for a theme... anyhoo... let's get this party started...

What is a Photoshop Phriday?

Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images.

Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro, MSPaint, or any other programs can be used.

See this link:
http://www.somethingawful.com/photoshop/

And for other examples, see here:
http://www.worth1000.com/

The two above websites should give a fair idea of what is involved.

Also, make sure your image doesn't exceed the width of the screen -- If you don't, may you get diarrhea forever.

This week's theme...
Crappy Games That Never Leave Japan

There are a lot of console games that are released in Japan, but never get released beyond the Japanese shoreline.

Some of these games turn out to be really awesome, and the rest of them are totally crap (which is why they never get released anywhere else).

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a screenshot of a really crappy game, it may be a PS, PS2, GC, or even an Xbox or PC game (adventure games are acceptable too), but it HAS to include characters from games that already exist.Ã,  You also need to include a title for the game.

Some examples would be:
- Tomb Karts: a Tomb Raider go-cart racing game.
- Resident Evil Dance Fever: A Resident Evil dancing game.

I took enough time thinking up the idea (even though it's kinda stupid), so I didn't have time to make a photoshopped example, but I'll see what I can do.Ã,  Now hop to it! *cracks whip*

Now ... I'll be the first to admit that's not always easy to do!Ã,  But having nothing to eat except Raman noodles or mac'n'cheese for 3 weeks is all part of the experience of growing up :)

That's pretty much what my diet consists of right now, and I'm still living at home. :P

I'll be moving out on my own soon enough, though.

Good luck to you, Felipe.

Doesn't anyone else here like NIN as well? I thought that there would be more of you.

I used to be kind of a fan, back in the "Closer" days.Ã,  But I've also moved on to other pastures.Ã,  Trent Reznor just doesn't cut it for me anymore.Ã,  However, I still listen to some Manson once in a great while.

Nowadays, I listen to a lot of Mushroomhead, Cold, Systematic, Spineshank, and (as always) Pantera.Ã,  Mostly synth metal, or heavy metal.

I don't have any music on my computer (as I never got into the MP3 ripping/downloading and CD burning revolution), but I should just post a list of all of the cds I have. :P

Hell... er... I mean, Wisconsin.

I live in Clintonville, near Appleton, Shawano, and Green Bay.  It's mostly farm country, which isn't my cup of tea.

...O_O...

Holy crap!  You're right!

Heh heh.Ã,  Cute.Ã,  Ã, ;D

I wonder who's gonna be the villian this time around.Ã,  I'd like to see SuperJake take on Doomsday or something... see how he fares in that.

Better yet, maybe the movie will be based on the comic storyline where Superman dies.

If I remember correctly, Spider man did kill the Goblin in the comic book... hmm... maybe I'm wrong...

But yeah, I guess I can see where you're coming from.

And yeah, the comic really turned to crap (especially after all that "Peter, you're not the real Spider Man, you're a clone and your life for the last 30 years was all a lie" business a few years ago).

EDIT:  That's it!  Gwen Stacy... it was right on the tip of my tongue.

Quote from: Kinoko on Mon 31/05/2004 05:21:38When too much crap gets released in the world, it gets tolerated, and standards get lowered, and those of us who appreciate things being done well lose out, and then people forget what good is and they start giving awards to "average" films/books/etc, and then we find ourselves with the modern day Lucasarts.

I'm going to second that.

Quote from: Kinoko on Mon 31/05/2004 05:21:38Spiderman didn't turn out to be an awful movie, but there were little stupid, STUPID things they changed that didn't have to be chaged at all. That's quite possibly the most annoying thing. When someone obviously knows what they're doing and how something should be done, but they then change one little basic fact for no good reason.

Yeah, for instance:Ã,  Any Spidey fan knows that Spider man was never able to shoot webs from his wrist, he had to devise a little contraption to shoot the webs for him.Ã,  So what's with that funny little mark below his palm in the movie?Ã,  AND!Ã,  Any Spider-man fan also knows that Peter's first love interest WAS NOT Mary Jane Watson... It was some blonde girl, I can't recall her name... but she ended up being killed by the Green Goblin (if I remember correctly, it was in that scene with the cable car).Ã,  Mary Jane didn't come until some years later.

See, I don't have a problem with the fact that Beyonce is black, it's not about racism issues... it's just that, I know Lois Lane to be WHITE.Ã,  I don't know, maybe I'm just one of those people who doesn't like change.Ã,  I know the saying goes, "change is good", but still...

Aside from that, I'm going to agree that Beyonce was really crappy in Goldmember (Actually, I think that movie in itself was crap).Ã,  She should stick to music, IMO.

I also remember a few years ago, I had heard about Nicolas Cage playing Supes.

I'm not a big superman fan, and I never was.  But this movie that you're talking about now, is an abomination.

She's hot and she's got a really nice singing voice, but Beyonce as Lois Lane?  ...The hell?

I know McG's name also, but I don't think I've seen any of his films... on the other hand, he sounds like he directs pornos, judging by the sound of his name, so maybe I have... *blush*

And lastly, Jake Gyllenhaal?  What is with all these nerdy joes taking the roles of superheroes in movies lately?  Toby Maguire made me laugh when I heard they were casting him as Peter Parker/Spider Man, but that actually turned out pretty good (as Peter Parker was kind of a nerd, and Maguire's acting was decent).  ...but come on, Jake Gyllenhall as Supes?  I'd rather see Dean Cain put on the cape again.

Anyway, that's all I have to say.

RPG Maker IS illegal.  ASCII is talking lawsuit (...or was... I don't know anymore...) for the illegal translation, and free distribution of the program.

I would also like to point out that, IMO, if you're going to make an RPG; go with any other program than RPG Maker.  It may be the easiest to use (from my experience), but there's too many bugs in the programming.  It was cool when I first started playing with it, but I just got tired of all the little tweaks and bugs.

That's only my opinion though.

RPG Toolkit isn't too bad... but I would still recommend it over RPG Maker.

I too am left handed, but when I draw with my right hand, I just looks like a kindergartner got a hold of a pencil and some wet cardboard...

I'm right handed... but yeah, ditto.

Those drawings look really good, considering you didn't draw them with your dominant hand.

Alright, I think I found the problem, and fixed it.

Try again, pleeze.

I'll do some beta-testing for you. :)

 :o Oh!...  That's cold, man.

I still say you should add some stray garbage (pop cans, newspaper, etc), maybe some p00p in the water (where do you THINK it goes when you flush?Ã,  :-X )...

...some man-sized talking turtles wielding ninja weapons might not be a bad idea.Ã,  Ã, ;)

Naw, seriously, some stray garbage would give it more authentic touch IMO.

I haven't had any gripes about the controllers... (maybe some about the system... or the selection of games for the system...)
