I never voted for him, and I can't stand him either.

David Letterman really isn't that funny anymore, but some of the clips of Bush that he makes fun of are slightly humorous.

Whoa!  That totally kicks ass! :D

It sounds good... it's catchy, I especially like the triplet hi-hats you added in the second version.

What do you use to make your music with?

General Discussion / Ridiculous Laws
Mon 08/12/2003 23:06:23
I found this on MSN today.  I remember a while back, Punk N Pie wanted us to wish her luck because she was going to court, but she wouldn't say what for.  I accused her of breaking one of those ridiculous laws.

Anyway, I thought maybe some of you would find these laws kinda funny.

Mr. Hyde reaches in his pocket and pulls a wrinkled, discolored, torn-and-taped-back-together 1$ bill out of his wallet, and slides it across the table to OneThinkingGal and ._.

"...make me the winner... and there's more where that came from..."

Eh, what the heck... my vote goes to KaaZ.  Although, the sky could have been a little darker.  Other than that, it's a quality BG!

Mr. Hyde hastily dives into pile of dirty clothes in search of his debit card.

...It shall be mine... Oh yes, it shall be mine...

Good job, Colossal!

What did you draw these with?

I'm with evil space fart, the car might look better if it were black, or a pastel color.

Another solution to your .jpg problem, you could also save it as a .png, I have to do that, because .gif's always messed up my color scheme on my backgrounds and sprites, and actually now, my computer doesn't even recognize .gif's anymore, I don't know why...

Hmmm... my first gaming experience was when I got my Atari.  I remember liking the one game where you're in the jungle, and you had to jump over crocodiles in the water, and you had to swing on vines... I can't remember the name of it for the life of me... If I had to guess, I would say it was probably Pitfall, but did they even have that game on the Atari?  Along with that, Galaga and Millipede were always fun.  Galaga... that game was a blast, with all the funny color patterns when you killed one of those space bugs... seizure-causing fun for the whole family! :o

When I got my NES, my favorite games were The Legend Of Zelda and Shadowgate.

As for PC, I never had a favorite, but I always played this one game called Castle Of The Winds.  It was and RPG, and had really crappy graphics, no animation, and the control scheme was screwed up (to fight a monster, you simply push up against it).  But it was really addicting.

Kinda fuzzy, I had to do a little resizing in gimp.  I hope it still qualifies.

Hints & Tips / ...ARGH!...Pleurghburg!

...okay...

I'm in the morgue, I followed the blood trail to the closet... but it's locked...

I tried everything I could think of... including using my gun on the lock, but it says that I can't leave obvious damage on the lock.

So, I take it I have to get that "special grenade" from Lucas... but how? I tried using my wallet on him, hoping I could buy it... I tried using my gun on him, hoping I could mug him for it.

Is there no walkthrough for this game?

Uh oh...  I smell another Jihad brewing...

I just hope that Wanderlady doesn't join the conversation...

Do you mean, a kind of isometric view?

(man... I really don't wanna start over on this room...  :-\)

Actually, I have the other half to the room... In AGS, I put hotspot along the bottom, so when the character walks down towards the bottom of the screen, the background changes to the other half.  The other half is far from finished, it's only got a couch, a bookshelf, and the other half of the bed.

But anyways, do you mean isometric?

The Hardest thing to script PERIOD, or the hardest thing for ME to script?...

Well the one thing that has always been a challenge for me is customizing my GUI's.  One game I was working on, I was trying to make a "yes" and a "no" button, so that when you try to pick up an item, you would be prompted, "Do you want to pick up the *?" (* being the name of the item in question, to be inserted into the sentence via a variable of some type).  And then you would click on either "yes" or "no".  I was also going to use those buttons for pivotal moments in the game, where the game would change based on your decision.

Even though Barcik helped me out with the scripting, and told me how to customize the GUIs for it, it still isn't working properly, and I still don't know what I'm doing.

...damn, I spilled milk on my pants... >:(

This is a background I made for a game I started a long time ago.  It's supposed to be a dorm room for a college student.  I tried to make it look like a 19 year old lives in it, hence the skateboard, the playstation, the guitar, the posters, the overflowing wastebasket.  I'm trying to make it a little more colorful, though... and I'd like to make it look a little less tidy (you know how college boys can be...).  I also noticed that it's slightly out of perspective in some places.

Any comments?
