This is not so much as question as to 'how to' as much as 'how should.'

I have an animating background created, but I was *ahem* unaware of the restricted number of frames.
What would be the best way to fix this? Create a large object, and animate that?

Or is there some way to increase the number of possible frames the background can use?

Thx In Advance for any help you can provide. -SAG.

EPIC.

It's an awesome track, feels like something that would be playing on the title menu.
Or in the opening credits of a Harry Potter Movie.
Or as you posted, LOTR.

GREAT JOB...
Again the only thing I find annoying is that in places the synth sounds 'tinny' but that's EXTREME CRITIQUE.

Size is intended to be only 144px high.

Can't figure out what's wrong, but It needs more detail, would appreciate drawovers.

:) looks good, how many individual 'shades' to each color are there in this?

:-\ I think that a lot of AGSer's especially those new to the whole thing are in this boat...
If there were a way to organize game ideas, so that artists and developers with more experience could see them.

I mean the 'recruit a team' thread is pretty good, but who wants to join a project that there's no information on?
There should be some way to organize a game idea, so that other people can check it out.

;D course, the ideas should be fully developed first!

Just curious what are you using to synthesize this? Some of the instruments sound a bit 'tinny'...
THIS IS EXTREEEEMMME Critique.
Frankly your tune is epic, it varies enough to keep from being too too repetitive.
It's catchy, and fast-paced, it's all around good.

I would like to hear you do something slow now, orchestral maybe, or soft jazz-like.
Maybe even fantasy? Think the strings in LOTR.

I really was looking for something to critique but it's hard.
I think a few places could be volumized a bit.

_EDIT_

I went back and kept listening to it, and thought that perhaps a harmony part to the main melody would be nice...
I'm posting an example to show what I mean.

Exactly the same sentiment... Very good...
Is 'flea' in your msg a chronotrigger reference?

 ;D
I'm a Star-Wars super-fan,
I've read pretty much all the books,
Have nearly every reference.

MARA IS SO NICE IN THIS GAME?
And an attempt at girlxgirl in the FIRST SCENE...
Can't wait to play the rest.

This is gonna be a treat... The battling is gonna take some gettin' used to but, otherwise! EPIC!

Anyone who says this game ISN'T epic I have one thing to say to you...
"I find your lack of faith disturbing..."

SINGLE thing that really still bothers me is the shade of the pixels that form his neck... They should be dark... His 'chin' casts a shadow over the neck... The smaller the shadow, the more the 'chin' will appear set into the face... darken that and it's great.

IMO there should be a dark line of pixels bordering the hair and the forehead... See if the light's 'above' it's casting a shadow against the forehead.
I'd try to sharpen the face up in general, but that's just 'style' that not like something really 'critique'.
Really good.

The biggest problem I found with the sprite was that the waist was too 'low' on the robe.
The torso is long, while the legs are short, making him seem less serious and threatening, like a midget reaper. (no offense to real midgets,..er or reapers...)

I reset his height, although I may have 'straightened' his back a bit much, made him too rigid compared to the original.

The robe looked a bit 'bunchy' so I smoothed it out, made it crisper. Did this by making the cloth fall straighter, and if you look you'll see the hood's "Link's Hat Hangy-Thing" for no better word to call it is draped more behind the hood, instead of sticking out stiffly.

By making the rope's 'tie' longer, it creates more 'length' and doesn't look as 'Tom Sawyer'.

The shading on the scythe has been changed with the idea that the top is thicker than the bottom, e.g. the inside of the curve is the sharp part.
blades are 'flat' so the shading is more flat... the 'dark'- 'mid' - 'light' shading makes the blade look as if it's thick, almost like button shading on the original.

Didn't there used to be a 'team' request thread.
I can't find it in any of the categories?
