At a glance, I thought it might be good to say that given those long shadows, you may want to make a long shadow for your character(s) in this room, too.

I'm especially intrigued about the idea of (possibly) never actually seeing the zombies. If I was making this game, THAT would be one of the things that I'd really be building on. I think it could be interesting to play the role of a survivor in a zombie plague who is doing his very best to avoid any sort of contact with the undead at all costs and survive while doing so.

While the subject matter would be a bit dry, I think that handled well, this could make for an interesting game.

As far as the "batmoblie" type vehicle, that sounds weird to me.

And in terms of the "finding the source and stopping the plage" thing, it's a little bit used, too. If you wanted to include that sort of thing, though, maybe it'd be best if the hero sort of stumbled on some information that could lead him to maybe help, but that he'd be really quite reluctant to do so, because it'd be pretty risky to even try anything. But eventually for some reason it'd come down to him having little to no choice if it meant surviving.

The thing about it that bugs me most is the four elemental crystals. It just seems SO used and old to me and (obviously) to many others.

And the idea about this fifth element being a person, which is practically directly from the movie, The Fifth Element.

Get away from the gather 4 objects of the same ilk thing, I say. OR if you want to throw in a monkeywrench, have a legend or prophesy or something that SAYS that you're supposed to go out and get those crystals, but thta's justa bunch of hoo-hah (or maybe it's a rumour spread by the evil guy -- he just wanted you to get those things because it'd hekp further his evil plans. They could even be guarded by "good guys" who'd fight to the death to defend them and protect the world from evil. Or somesuch.).

Anyway, you need to be sure to keep things a bit more original, whther it's with twists or with fresh story ideas in general.

All that being said, someone SO needs to make "Jonny Twotone, Funk Virtuoso". I'd play it ina heartbeat.

Here's a quick adjustment of the hair, and perhaps an improvement in his body/ belly:

I have nothing to add, save for the fact that I think Coco Nut Cola is HILARIOUS.

So, I made this sprite based on a character from another game:

MY SPRITE:

(ALSO see the pictures I used for reference, below -- I was however, going for a taller, lankier look, and was thinking of ScoobyDoo's "Shaggy")

I'm 100% okay with the not single thickness of the outlines and double/triple etc. pixels you may have the urge to pick out.

HOWEVER, I'm especially looking to be sure that his pot-belly doesn't look too much like a raging errection. I'd also like to throw in that "peace sign" necklace if possible (but it's no big deal). Furthermore, IF I could lighten his skin without it belending too much into the red, that'd be nice. And finally, I'd like to hear any comments or critisms you may have.

Paintovers are more than welcome.

Thanks!

They feel... blurry to me, and hurt my eyes. Plus, the jpg artifacting doesn't help matters.

I got really sick when I was 13 with the flu (had a fever of 106) and haven't been the same since, really. Since then, I'm tired a lot and get sick more often than the average person, and tend to stay sick longer (like having colds or flus for several weeks or even a few months at a time, sometimes), even when I try to take really good care of myself.

In the past few years, I've bene getting sick a little less often and for somewhat shorter periods of time, though. Still, I'm pretty much always tired.

I've been to the doctors about it too much, and they can't ever figure out what's wrong.

It sucks, but after a while, you sort of learn to live with it.

I also have alergies to a bunch of things (though none of them are very severe).

I found that the bath mat's shadow almost makes it look like it's floating.

Plus the aforementionned shower cabinet issue.

For comical and pathetic, you may want to take a look at the old gem, THE Superhero League of Hoboken. Great, silly little superhero game. Or you may want to look to The Tick, in any of its various forms.

For the logo, if you'll be calling him "Justice Man", I'd reccomend a big, lame "J" or "JM".

The colours could maybe use some work, too. There's nothing really, truly WRONG with them, and that's the trouble. I'd reccomend a different colour scheme -- possibly using ugly, bright, gaudy  tones, or maybe have parts of the costume's colour scheme that really don't seem to GO with the rest of the thing. Save for the boxers, he's just not looking pathetic or comical enough for me.

As for the rest of the costume, though I know this is not your art, you may want to  consider making it look a bit more thrown-together. Probably not TOO much if you still want him to look heroic in the least, but I'd think about parts of the costume being too big.

And finally, for the boxers, when you make him, I'd be sure that you clearly chow off their boxerness, possibly with the waistband or the flap thing in the front if you  really want to go over the top.

Just make something with http://artpad.art.com/
All you need for it is an updated Flash player or whatever. Sure it's crappy and sure it takes a little while to download people's pictures (though not TOO long), but it's kinda' nifty nevertheless. It is pretty clunky on older computers, though.

Here's an example of what I did while I was bored: http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?igbxqnmnqz4

Perhaps final resting proof that Lucas is completely bonkers, I present to you...

Lifeday - The Star Wars Holiday Special.

Warning: This may be the worst thing you'll ever watch.

Is this the thing where Boba Fett was supposed to have made his first appearance?

Also, i'm guessing that what we're seeing there is just snippets of the full version, right? Otherwise, it's disgustingly disjointed.

Sure -- why not? If you drew them, I'm guessing you want people to be able to see them. Even if they're painted on or done in a bas-relief carved fashion, they should be more visible, IMO.

And please be sure not to call him the sitting shaman in the game, unless you want to use it as a tonguetwister kind of joke.  ;)

I think it would be a gooidea to make the teeth/ mouth outline a bit darker. It's barly visible on my monitor.

The "Vader" part means "father". It's old English. I'm not sure, but I think Lucas even went on record with that before (I could be wrong, though).

I like the picture on the whole -- it has a lot of potential. With just a quick example, though, I think you'll agree that a little shading goes a long way.

I also used a "brick" kind of idea to give some of the walls a bit of texture. I'd do more but must return to work soon.  A better idea, even, might be to have the wall cracks much better defined, and stemming more realistically from the places where the walls are crumbling.

Just yesterday I killed a high-up, creepy-looking spider with  a mop/ shoe combo. It was very satisfying. So much so that I had almost started a thread just like this.

Sucks? That thing is great!...

It didn't win, though. But that's only because there were some other really neat entries, too! I really loved a lot of them, like Darth's and Squinky's and... heck, I liked them all!

But voh, your "monkey-bunny-kangaroo" was just so gosh-darned adorable that I couldn't help but have it as the winning entry!

Congratulations, voh!

Liked it. Thought it was one of the better movies of this type out in a while. It was a sort of cross between "Seven" and "Cube" in a lot of ways, and I thought they pulled it off okay.
