Hm, it seems to me that you all don't know that much freeware games, alone because some games posted here are not freeware at all!! So, I post some of my favourites here!
I won't post all now because I don't have the time for this!!

Well, there is this university where you can learn everything about making games called Digipen.

Some of their projects turn out great, many not. These are my favorites:

Ta-ta Mahatta

Mantis (maybe oe of the best freeware games I ever played, but one of the least known also!)

Also, nobody should miss the side-scrolling shooter  Entrance Gate (the normal website seems to be down in the moment, it is www.vrealware.com)

I agree that there is a lack of details but what I LOVE about this background is the blocky look, the houses look like cubes, everything is edgy...could be a nice style!

The green well looks funny...but honestly, I don't have a problem with that....
When I think about how long I need for one screen and how it looks after that...and comparing it with yours and read that you can make in a good mood 3 per day I'm a bit astounded.  :o

He never kissed a girl before so assume they didn't fuck directly.
It may be false but I don't think so.

Of course, I know how it is, even if you know that, you're pretty sure, there is a small chance it can be still different otherwise.

Wow, great for just using 16 colors, but yeah, you should better leave the dark blue of the sky out and the white borders at the entrance of the hole doesn't fit either.

That's strange, I expected that the sprites would be rendered models. So, they do not look bad, but they don't fit really good with the backgrounds.
It's not terrible, but other way would have been a better decision, I think.

Great backgrounds, I haven't said it yet. I'm amazed of the quality, the many details, it looks professional, really.
That's a problem when many amateurs try 3D art, it looks so amateurish, everything so bare, so liveless. This here is totally different.

i think it looks great and unique, like the awry noses, and wouldn't change anything except the thing with the shoulders of the punk and how his upper body behaves to his legs, it really looks weird.

The white dots, who you can see especially on the road and at the right tree, there on purpose or didn't you just fill it out? It sticks very much out at first.
And the bush at the right looks strange, like mud and then some leaves sparkled over it, mabye it should like the branches, but it has not this effect.
The left bush then for example looks like he is built out of small boxes, but maybe that is caused through the picture compression, I can't judge. You should use "Irfan view" to convert into JPEG.

Hope this gives you some hints how to improve the picture.  :)

Not to forget, this straight diagonal line you can see through the cut from the left bank to the water looks odd, not natural, especially compared to the other side of the bank.

Oh, I asked myself from which game it is...i don't play many games, and I'm not really interested in the actual ones.
So I'm not really sure about it....maybe he just tries to emulate the style a bit...who knows....

So, of course I love more the outdated pixel style, but hey, we had it for too long now, so I think we should move forward right?
Just one thing, ehm, when you make it with the Wintermute Engine, why is there a bar on the top like with AGS?  ???

The game is kinda funny.
I like the voice of the old man, oh and just the simplicity and pure sillyness, still, I don't know exactly what to think of it. I expected more seeing that you put all the projects together, doesn't look like you did much in that time before, it's a bit disappointing, I mean, how eager were we for the release of that games, looked at this pretty screenshots, thought of the times back than when the real Sierra, before Chainsaw Whateverday, was still alive and hoped for some pretty good adventures.
So it's kind of a letdown, you have to understand, it's not that what we expected, and I think it was a terrible mistake to stop the projects! I mean, all give up just to put it together to an above-average game? Is this really how it was meant to be? Is this really all?
Was really everyone for this idea? I can't imagine that all members of the teams liked that plan? Did just the project leaders voices count or what? It's a bit unfair when you think of it that the work you spended your many countless hours on in your spare time after work is wasted on something different you wanted it for....
It's hard to understand what you did all the time when I see this...
Especially the Hero6 project, I mean, all the years?  :P   ::)
I think you will get many whining mails because of this decision from disappointed adventure fans...  ;)


Oh, by the way, I found a bug! Would you fix it?  ;)
