Hm..

I'm a Christian who believes that you don't have to be a Christian to go to heaven (yeah I'm aware of those verses and everything) - but being a Christian is the only certain way. Also I'm not really sure about evolution vs creation but I lean on evolution - however it just has a too many gaps that can be easily filled if we say that God was controlling the whole evolution process to create the world (I got so flamed on christian forums for saying that). Metal kicks poopcasters, 80% of everything else blows. Kerry is more evil than Bush, but Bush is evil too.

How many points do I get?

I apologise for my mistake. Aslan forgive me!

I wouldn't call it as a children version of the Bible, but it's a Biblical allegory full of symbolism.

So this explains...
QuoteActually, I was thinking more along the lines of leaving the lion dead
...because the lion is supposed to be Jesus who chose to take the sacrifice of every man's sins (or in this case, Edmund) so that people can be saved. I do agree that this scene was cheesy though, it could be less cheesy while keeping the Aslan's resurrection.

I noticed the lip thing too, but I thought that maybe the cut did heal, but some dry blood over it remained (it's supposed to heal the wounds, not necessarily clear the blood - I think).

I'm never strict when it comes to acting, which is a good thing for me because I can enjoy movies better this way. Nothing CGI or acting-wise bothered me at all.

I give it 9/10, it could have more battles and more blood and stuff, but for a Disney children's movie it's as gory as it gets.

I love this! The guitar freakiness part is not bad, I actually think it adds to the song. The only thing I might have changed is add reverb in the lead guitar before the freakiness part.

I finally added drums, but they don't sound good..Ã,  I tried to add bass or background synths with no success. If I put an extra instrument high then the notes with the other instruments will clash, if I put it low then there will be a lot of buzz. If this was an actual recording and not a midi, would the "emptiness" be removed?

Here's the new link www.geocities.com/crosshead777/demonocracy_2.mid

edit: I also tried to fix the harmony issues.

the recorder is the easiest for me, way easier than guitar.

It's really hard to critisise poetry... But I'll try to:

I have trouble understanding the meaning. I don't have anything against it, it'quite cool and my kind of stuff. But what does the stone symbolise?

I spotted some mistakes (at least I think they are mistakes).
A stone with which my life was/is compared
Its character's like mine alone (?)
Would it, in a flash, be forgotten?
Maybe there are more, but that's all I could find so far

I couldn't find a pirated version that allowed Real Sound support, the ones I found didn't include it
I'll try to get it somehow, but I heard it sounds bad anyway

ManicMatt: This is a midi file, I can't really help it. I compose my tracks with Guitar Pro, which is a midi program (and the best program for guitarists). If I ever use better instruments, I'll have to compose this first as a midi and then change the instruments, but I'll never change the program I use because it makes composing so much easier

Edit: It also depends on your audio card, the midi samples are built-in into it. So, it sounds different on every computer.

PyroMonkey: Perhaps drums and bass will help after all. I'll work on that tomorrow

Hey people,

It is Christmas day and yet I'll be a pure geek and live it as any other day lived dedicated to the Holy Computer. Therefore, I decided to write a tune as a tribute. And behold, the link: http://www.geocities.com/crosshead777/demonocracy.mid

I know it's boring in the beginning, but I'm planning to extend the whole song and the boring part will just be the intro to it. There's no drums or bass yet, because I'm not good at doing that and I fear it is going to ruin the song. I might add them, in the future.

I think it's the best thing I've done so far (that doesn't say much though, heh). I plan to add lyrics too once I complete it (if it doesn't reach 5 minutes I won't be satisfied by its length).

Comments, critisism, suggestions? What I'm mostly looking for is some hints from the experts. Especially for the solos, what I created sounds like a fast melody and not really like a "metal" solo.

Btw, what genre of music is this? I have no idea

I'm sure that if I wanted to pass a PSP to Jesus I could just leave it on my roof and God would just grab it, leaving nothing but thin air behind. However I have already bought Jesus two Divinefire albums, to which he can listen anytime he wants due to his omnipresent and time-travelling powers.

i've asked santa for a girlfriend. He hasn't written back yet, but i'm hopeful since he ignored my request last year ...
I don't mean to sound like I know better than you, but I think that with that mindset you're only hurting yourself.

Nice! I love your choice of colours; except the Orc head, which I think is kinda bright
#439
I like this, except the stars. I'd advice to use fewer stars, as well as some starts bigger (and brighter) than the others.

Oh crap I misspelt ticket >.< and I'm actually a good speller.

I rarely draw during classes anymore, I draw during breaks or during my art class (duh). And I have already tried drawing with something else, I do draw other things but rarely. And I don't mind the blue lines :P I could always photoshop them out anyway.

I know I'll grow out of dark religious themes (note that they're not satanic, just show the dark side of religion - the demons are always the bad guys). When I was a little kid I was mostly drawing ninjas, then I grew out of them and got into aliens, then I got into monsters, and now I'm into these. And it's not "heavy" metal, it's power and epic metal :P.

QuoteI have no idea what you would dream of doing in your life. Author? Poet? Musician? Game developer? Artist?
A programmer because it's my best ability, even though I enjoy art and music more.

Esper: Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking when I was drawing it, only I wouldn't call it a "nipple". And I thought he looked like Gandalf.

Squinky: I'm quite skilled at Pixia, but I'm too lazy to mess with it. On the actual paper it has a lot more contrast (it's what I was talking about colour loss). My shapes are not as detailed and clean as yours, but I'm working on it :P

Thanks everyone for your time
