I don't know about your name, maybe you could find a nickname or something.

I suppose that your picture and looks in it will have to match your music type.

Whether you'll have samples or full songs is your choice, but if you have samples you can only show the good part to raise the expectations for your potential listener.

A good idea would be to get an account in www.purevolume.com and www.audiostreet.net and have the link of your main site there. That way people can find out about you more easily

Yes they do! I'm pretty sure that I've seen sour cream and onion flavour in Greece!

And in Greece we also have Feta Cheese flavor (?) and ketchup, which is my favorite!

Heck yeah! You forgot to mention the olive flavor and olive oil flavor (not the plain kind, it tastes different) :=. Yummy....

actually, prawn and barbeque are my two favourite chip flavours..  don't understand how those chips are Engrish ???

I don't remember much Engrish here and those I do are not funny enough:
- A fast food place says "HAMBOURKERS" with big letters
- A t-shirt says "Why I can't wear shorts?"
- Some rules I saw in a swimming pool are gramatically incorrect and tragically misspelt

Also, my English teacher for this year (one of the most annoying people ever), pronounces some English words totally wrong and expects us to pronounce them the same way.

The demos look cool, especially the water/lava/slime ones.

But how is it going to work? Will we have to own a physics card if we want to play a specific game? And are we going to be forced to upgrade it every once in a while like a graphics card? I suppose future consoles can easily support it, but what about the PC?

And I don't see how it could work well with adventure games, but I'm open minded.

I'm not sure either, since I've been into music for a while... I didn't make any mistakes.

This is great!

Only thing I'd change was make the sound more bombastic. Also, at the second version, it sounds very bad at around 2:08. Can you make it like the first version there?

I have something that might be suitable for Monster Lullaby... I'm having trouble with its ending though, just gimme a few hours

Ah, I'd definately enter because if it's one thing I can do in a game it's the coding.. But I haven't touched AGS for over a year, so I barely remember anything. Plus, AGS has changed since then so I'd need a bit of training first... So I'm not entering :-\, however I still support the idea.

Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't understand how it works ???

That's a very nice technique. When the eye focuses on something near, the background always blurs, the nearer the focus the blurriest the background. So it's logically correct, therefore I suggest you to go for it ;D

I didn't play it much, I got to level 2, I might play it more later. It's a cute fun little game, though a bit irritating at times.

This isn't something you should do in Game Maker. Even though it will give you a lot more possibilities (especially in the graphics area), this game is fully functional as it is. The executable will be at least 1 mb and will eat too much memory for a simple game like this, I'd recommend it if the game was more complicated though.

The problem with GM is that it's slow, but for a 2d engine with that flexibility and user-friendliness it's very fast. A faster and more flexible 2d (and 3d) engine would be Blitz Basic, but it's harder and it's only code.
#516
Yes, Game Maker is completely capable of handling platform games, however they're always buggy unless done by someone experienced. So you'll have to be patient about it.
#517
yeah, but that doesn't make it unable to make any games at all
#518
Heh... I was like 9, I had no internet, no experience or what-so-ever... My first game was an adventure game made in MS PowerPoint :P. After I got internet, I found out about a 2d fighting engine called MUGEN, I experimented with it but I didn't go far. Then, finally, I found out about Game Maker, which I used for years but unfortunately never managed to finish a single game that was worth it. I'm good at scripting, but too damn lazy at the designing, so I usually make the basic engine of games and leave it there.

So my first project was a crappy, unfinished adventure made in MS Paint and my first finished project was a small space game made with GM.

I also did some experimenting in VB and Pascal, I made some silly casino-like games in VB but had no success in Pascal at all.

Whoops, I didn't make another entry like I promised. But Ashen's entry did rule, congratulations!

Hmmm. I'm not that big a fan of metal, but the concept of a bunch of freaked out dudes screaming "GANDAAAAALF!!!!" seems to me like it would rock on for ever-so-long... Do you suggest any groups??? PowerMan 5000 doesn't happen to be a power metal group, do they? I don't aks because of the name, but because their music videos remind me of real-life anime.
one thing I wish the world knew: metal does NOT equal screaming.

Also, not all power metal is about fantasy, and a lot of people I know consider power metal as "the positive metal". (a power metal band www.kamelot.com)

But anyway... Sometimes I get embarassed to admit when I like something that is far from metal.
