Why would anyone be ashamed to listen to Power Metal? :P I love power metal...

I have a few songs that I'm embarassed to admit that I like. But as for artists, I actually like Avril *hides*

I also like Opera, but not all of it.

Thanks! ;D

No, I didn't notice it :-[. I scrolled down and saw that part 2 was the earliest there, so I tried renaming the link of the 2nd to the link of the 1st. So I found MonkeyIsland1L.wmv, but not MonkeyIsland1LST.wvm... But that's because the number was after "LST" in this episode, duh. But anyway... I'm gonna watch it now. Thanks again for the link, and of course, thanks to Scummbudy for the recording :)

Edit: I just finished watching it. That was great! Some parts are really funny (like the one mentioned about what Guybrush meant, or when the head said "'sup") and it followed the story quite well.

How can I get the first episode with subtitles? I'm asking this because I have some difficulty understanding english when it's spoken, so I'll enjoy it a lot more if I watch the whole thing with subtitles. If I can't get it I'll watch it without them anyways

Well, having unnecessary items is ok to me as long as they don't overdo it. Monkey Island had a few unnecessary items too, if I remember correctly.

Quote from: ildu on Tue 04/10/2005 13:47:41So what happens when there's a draw?

Then maybe the host picks the winner?

I don't really miss anything, but that's just me. When I joined the community (about two years ago) I was immature for it, but I'm getting better. I think. So now I'm actually enjoying the place more. But I suppose if I lived the "old days" with the age I have now I'd love them more, because they sound quite fun.

sorry but I don't think that it's that fun.. it's the same thing repeating with some weird talking and a speech engine talking. The actual tune is nice but short. I'm sure you have done better things than this :)

Critics' Lounge / Re: CSI style room (pt II)

This is very nice, but the perspective is weird. If it's supposed to be two rooms seperated by the black line then it won't be a big problem. But what stands out to me is the cupboards. The one on the left is taller than the ones on the right, so the upper line needs to be fixed a bit. The cupboards on the right are supposed to be about the same height, maybe a bit taller (because they are closer to the camera). Other than that I like the color, even though its all green. You might need to fix the pencil lines too, even though they give a special style they can be distracting

I don't know if this counts as an entry, because I didn't do it for this competition, though I did it on Friday. But I guess it kinda fits the theme...

...It's a nose with a variable length ::)

I might make a better entry later

It's so that your farts can sound louder and also to prevent bacteria coming out when you do that (just like the way the nose hair prevents bacteria from coming in) :=

I vote for Krysis

I'm not trying to act like a moderator, but this forum is for getting critic and suggestions about your work, not for letting other people draw for you.

But anyway, it's not that bad. What makes it bad is that you combine solid color rectangles with detailed icons. If the game is tile-based, you can still improve it by adding a texture to the ground. Or you could have rounded corners  on the edges, it would certainly look better than this.

Also, you have a lot of mountains that are alike and just copy/pasted all over. A little more variety wouldn't hurt anyone.

So this explains a lot of things... :D

Awww sorry, I guess I should have extended the time limit like I said earlier :(

Ok, I guess I'm going to pick a winner.

I don't know who to choose! They're both as good. Assuming the big heads were intended, there are still faults in both pictures.

Dave has big neck, and also has an ability to float like Tim, the character he created (seeing how his head is in front of the guitar of the other guy)...

m0d's mouth has food, but even without that he'd look better with a mirrored head. The girl on the right is not that successful, but I love how the emoticon is used on that woman after seeing the original.

Ummm so... Because I couldn't choose, I picked the one that looks like needed more effort to make. So the winner is...

*drum roll*
Petteri!

You may begin the new competitionÃ,  ;D

No, that's just the cloak of the wizard--plus, no one's going to notice unless they count out the pixels.Ã,  And if you can find someone (other than yourself) that will do that, I will give you a reward*.

Please note: Reward may or may not be alive/rotten/diseased.Ã,  Traveling by next millenium air.Ã,  Donkey Rounda Studios & King_Nipper are not responsible of death or horrible disease.

Actually, I noticed the right arm was thicker on the first glance. I only counted the pixels to make sure it wasn't an illusion.

Nightwish is Finnish \O/ and I too listened to them until the bassist came in and ruined their style and their songs! Because I really think he did... some older records suggested

I've heard almost all of the older songs and saw that the style didn't change a lot. I like both new and old. All bands change by time, but Nightwish is quite consistent and you can't blame the bassist for the change. After all, Tuomas (not you :P) writes almost all the songs, so I don't think Marco would affect the music style.

QuoteAnd it's funny how these Arabian (I've no idea whre they are from, but not the States), made it so far! Amazing, don't you think...

System of a Down are Armenians actually. I guess the reason behind their anti-war message is the Armenian genocide and especially their song P.L.U.C.K is deticated to the genocide victims.

I think a parody of any story wouldn't be wrong at all if you use original graphics/sounds etc.

Hehe that's nice.... But only one entry? That's like choosing between a winner and a winner. What's the fun with that :(... If I don't get at least 2 more entries until tomorrow I'll have to extend the deadline.
