Fair enough! I think they take me out of the experience a bit because the characters are referencing things they couldn't possibly know anything about, considering that this universe is (I assume) not the same universe as ours; but, I tend to take storyline things like that too seriously.

I like how he looks like a big clunky, oafish teenager. ...I'm not sure how helpful that is, but I thought I'd chip in  ;D

I'm about 3/4s of the way through it, and it has SO many good points--the interface, the graphics, some of the characters--but its constant (and out-of-nowhere) pop culture references and tendency to make fun of itself at the expense of the story are a little grating.

In general I prefer action-RPGs--your Secret of Manas, your Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliances, your Skyrims. In my old age (I'm 26), I don't really have the patience for turn-based combat anymore (though FFIV Complete's auto-battle feature has been a godsend in that regard).

An idea that "predates Maniac Mansion"? So does that mean it's NOT an adventure game? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!

I posted on here before, but it's been a while, so I figured I should have another go.

Are you looking for a proofreader or editor for your upcoming or ongoing project? I'm your guy! I have 9+ years of editing experience between running my own website, working professionally as a copyeditor, and proofing text for indie games. PM me if interested!

Anyone looking for a good editor?

I've been working professionally as a copy editor for about three years now, and for just over eight years, I've been the Editor-in-Chief of a videogame humor website called GameCola.net. For several years, I've also been working on an AGS game  with my fiancée as a writer, editor, and designer. I'm looking to branch out and work on a few other projects, though not in a design capacity.

My specialty and greatest interest is in comedy games, but I wouldn't say no to a more serious project. I'm looking to apply my talent to this medium, to get my name out there, and to maybe someday work professionally as a writer/editor/developer with a videogame company.

If you need an editor or proofreader, feel free to PM or e-mail me!
