Jesus, you people are willfully ignorant.

Yea it's good that no one ever tried to make a cartoon version of Jay and Silent Bob or any of the cast from Clerks. Thank God.

Bluntman and Chronic, what?

Is that sarcasm or do you just not know about this:

I agree about moving the mirror or her eyes so that she is looking into it, it just looks out of place otherwise. I don't think it'll mess up your composition, in fact, I think it will give it a more even flow.

I love EGA graphics, there's just something about the palette that makes my tummy happy.

Soooo... when are you going to add the parser?

Huh? ... Errr?
Just to clarify for anyone who doesn't feel like researching it:
"Wynn suffers from retinitis pigmentosa which affects his peripheral vision and therefore his interaction with proximate objects. In September 2006, Wynn was finalizing a deal with Steven_A._Cohen to sell his Picasso painting, La Reve (The Dream), for a record $139m, when he accidentally struck the painting with his right elbow, tearing a coin-sized hole in the piece of art."

What he's saying is that it sort of takes away the validity, or at least some of the validity of his sacrifice since he knew he could come back all along.

Did he know? I'm not quite sure what orthdox (little O) theology is on this point, but I think that Jesus as a human was not himself omniscient...

I dunno, I'm no Jesusologist. From what I thought I've heard, but I could be wrong because I don't care that much, Jesus gave his buddies some idea that he was going to come back after he died, and that he knew what was going to happen to him. I agree Jesus probably wasn't omniscient, but he always had angels yelling at him, maybe one of them told him. Angels like to yell about stuff all the time in the Bible.

If Jesus went to the cross as a sacrifice... Why the hell did he resurrected? Personally, for me, that's a complete shit of sacrifice. That's taking advantage of the knowleadge (he knew he was going to ressurect) and the power (He knew hoe to resurrect) to commit an empty and totally hypocrital sacrifice. The only rational reason for that is that, without the idea of resurrection, the whole idea of Christianity should have lasted like 2 weeks. So, resurrection basically is an act of propaganda.

So an omnipotent God can do anything, right...? That's what omnipotent means. Oh, his son was killed, but he doesn't do anything about it? Oh, he doesn't want to bring him back to life in case some cynics say it was all a big fix. If it helps you, consider the agony of being nailed by the wrists to a bit of wood for hours to be the sacrifice rather than the death.

What Nacho is saying is not why it happened. If I was Jesus's mommy, I'd want to fix his boo-boos too. What he's saying is that it sort of takes away the validity, or at least some of the validity of his sacrifice since he knew he could come back all along. It's sort of unfair for Jesus to say "Hey, people, I'm dying for your sins! This is a very crucial and important thing I'm doing JUST FOR YOU!" and then come back to life a couple days later, like "Yeah, I was just joshin', dying isn't nothin' to me!"

Fortunately, one time God came by my house and made me lunch and told me "Don't worry Pesty, you don't have to be a Christian or even a White Mage for me to love you! THE MAGIC WAS INSIDE YOU ALL ALONG!"

I think that was ET.

No, I think I'd notice if a walking penis made me lunch.

I think that if the creator of the universe is a petty enough dude that he requires people to be completely devoted to him for their entire lives, I'd be better off hanging out with the devil, because at least he doesn't care about what you believe in, he accepts you for who you are.

Fortunately, one time God came by my house and made me lunch and told me "Don't worry Pesty, you don't have to be a Christian or even a White Mage for me to love you! THE MAGIC WAS INSIDE YOU ALL ALONG!"

So I guess I don't have to worry about where I'm going when I die. God and me are like THIS.

So are you saying you photoshopped the first original image?!?! Shenanigan! Cheat! Manipulation!

You made SSH think you were pretty.

Well, since it's been over a year since I last posted pictures, here are a couple, from my family's trip to Rifle Falls (which is where I would have Mittens if I were hosting it and everyone didn't hate camping). There were a total of three pictures of me taken. Here they are.

Here's one of me, my niece, and my grumpy looking nephew: http://froghaslipstick.com/photos/riflefalls1.JPG

Here's me and my brother's girlfriend, Misty (who will most likely kill me if she ever finds out I posted this): http://froghaslipstick.com/photos/riflefalls2.JPG

And one of me my sister got when I was turning my head away from the waterfall's spray, inadvertantly making me look like I'm posing all goofy-like: http://froghaslipstick.com/photos/lookimtotallyposing.jpg

That's it. There won't be any more for another year, at least.

I like the blobblie ends better than the feety ends, personally. Like Eric, I didn't even think about naughty bits of any sort when I saw them. They are super cuties and I don't think anything needs changed.

And shame on everyone who said anything about naughty bits!

Well, what did I write wrong in the thread for my new in production game, David Smith: Private Investigator? Most people ignored that. Heck, I doubt anyone that has posted in this thread has even heard of it. Sorry for rambling.

Now that we've pinpointed the real problem here, maybe you should get over yourself, stop bitching about text adventures without giving a reasonable argument against them and work on your game. People pay more attention to released games than GIP threads because 90% of the games posted in the GIP forum are forgotten and abandoned by their creator.

No one is going to kill you. I don't even know how we would.

Especially seeing as how he's already dead, having been eaten by a grue.

Should've brought a lantern with you, Yoda Man. Then maybe you would not be in this predicament.

I guess it's not my writing, it's my opinion that you have against me. So much for freedom of speech. :(Ã,
I just find text adventures annoying because they are too mucg like books. Why would I want to go on my computer to do that kind of thing? Why not just go in my room and read something?Ã,

Freedom of speech is the ability to state your opinion without being punished.

Freedom of speech is not stating your opinion and having everyone who hears it automatically agree with you.

I'm sorry, Yoda Man. You have been eaten by a grue.

Whoever is bitching at you is a stupid penis, SSH. You're actually doing your job with picking monthly games and the AGS awards, which is more than I can say about myself when I was in charge of the AGS awards.

I'm not here to kiss your ass, though. SO SORRY TO DISAPPOINT YOU.

General Discussion / Re: e-Bay - Advice?
Wed 02/08/2006 04:42:28
One thing you should know is that you will almost ALWAYS be overcharged for shipping. Why? Because eBay takes a percentage off of what the sellers earn from you, so they will try to get their money back by charging more for shipping than what it costs to ship, which eBay can't take any money away from. Many times you'll see auctions or Buy It Nows for $0.99 with $50 shipping costs. It's just a scheme to get around eBay charges.

I will also back the "don't buy unless there's a picture" policy, mainly because it's easier to get away with saying "New, never been used" than it is to show a picture of the product being sold. Keep an eye out for people who use the same picture for different products, too, because they'll use a generic graphic for the product instead of the actual product being sold, which is occasionally (but not always) dodgy. If they're honest sellers, they'll put down any flaws in used products, because all used products have signs of use, even if it's only been used once or twice. I tend to buy stuff from people who say "There's a small nick on the side" over people who say "Like new! Almost never been used!!"

For what you can do now with your problem, leave the user bad feedback. I know it doesn't seem like much, but an experienced eBayer checks everyone's feedback and if there are a lot of negative comments, even if there are more positive ones than negative ones, they won't buy from that person. Word of mouth is a powerful thing in any market, even online.
