I personally don't think it would make a very good adventure game, since a lot of the main character's actions are out of his hands- he's told to do this, he's forced into doing that, and a bunch of random chance. The actions that he actually does for himself are mostly gaining skills.

Maybe an RPG would work better than an adventure game.

Are you kidding! 99% of adventure game puzzles are people telling you to do this and forcing you into doing that!

It's satisfying, but not nearly as much as when you've got an icon on your desktop that enables the roughly 30-degree arrow of the cursor to fit snugly against two of its lines.Ã,  That is ultimate satisfaction.Ã,  Of course, being a mature adult and delighting in more developed pursuits, I prefer to use the hand cursor to pick the noses of the AGS banner egos.

That reminds me that I do that with the cursors in Sierra games. And, for example, I get joy from putting the dragon face waiting cursor over the hero's head in QFG1 to make it look like he has a big ol' dragon head! And then I try it out on all the npcs to see who looks best with which cursors. And I'll put the talk cursor over the characters' mouths to make them look like they're wearing big wax lips.

I like to put my cursor up to pictures and lines, pretty much whatever I can, and try to get one of the angles on the arrow to line up so that it looks like the edge of the arrow is part of the line. It brings me some strange satisfaction when I achieve this, and will sit and look at my discovery with pride for longer than I probably should, and if I'm unable to find any lines that match up, I get really sort of dissapointed.

Typing it all out, I've just realized for the first time how weird that is.

Okay, so maybe I'm not enough of a feminist, but I couldn't care less if a girl in a video game has torpedo boobs. It made me chuckle to see how popular their GiP thread is, and I know it's because of the girl with the large breasts and tiny, revealing nurse's shirt. But I don't feel offended, and I really could care less.

That's how I felt about Tomb Raider, too. So many people made such a fuss about the main character's breasts and I was just like "so?" If nobody had said anything, I wouldn't even have noticed. The fact that the character is a strong, intelligent (well, not when I'm playing her) person who is good at shooting dinosaurs and stealing things is all but lost in the arguments of "Oh man her boobs are big she's being OBJECTIFIED". Get past the breasts and see the character within! Making such a fuss about it objectifies women more than ignoring it.
