If I were to get married, I'd like to change my last name simply because my last name is boring and everyone has it. When my sister got married, she changed her last name to her husband's so instead of Koi Johnson she's Koi Eskew and now people think she's from another country or something. It's awesome and I'm jealous!

I have the best idea for a setting ever for a series of games like this. We could make it like Lost, with everyone stranded on a deserted island and all sorts of wacky, mysterious stuff could happen!

And every game, people would get into a fist fight, because fist fights always happen on deserted islands! I think it is a law of physics or something.

I believe that the chaotic part about last year, and Pesty can correct me if I'm wrong, was the nominations process.Ã,  Having everyone write in their nominations and then having to tally all of them was an insanely difficult undertaking for her.Ã,  Of course reducing the number of categories would have helped, but I believe the heart of the problem lies in the nominations process.

Really, it was the whole thing. The thing that took the longest was sorting through the game announcement  forums for every game released in 2004. Tallying everything did suck hard, I have to admit, but a lot of it was pretty much automated, and I didn't really have to do a lot aside from certain things.

I was really frusterated when people would just vote for their favorite game in every category, regardless of what the category was. That's why I'm all for a committee, because then we won't have one game sweeping the awards, and other games will get a chance to be considered. It just seems unfair to me.

Don't worry yourself about perspective that much. It's perfect the way it is. The way you fixed that tree trunk, yowza! You've exceeded anything the people who did the art in KQ4 did.

As a serious fan of EGA graphics, I think it's beautiful. I don't see anything wrong with the tree and I can tell the dark spots in the background are distant trees and they don't need to be any denser than that.

The only thing that stands out to me that you could change is the black lines around the tree trunk. It's just too dark for a white tree. Make them maybe the darker shade of cyan or maybe the darker grey? I'd have to experiment to see what would look best, but since it's your picture, I'll let you do the experimenting.

Still, overall very lovely. You definately achieved the KQ4 style. Are you using this in a game? If you do, you'll make a certain Pesty very happy!

That foreground is outstanding! The only two problems I see are the river (which has been mentioned so I won't say a thing) and the mountains in the back. They seem too dull and grey compared to the fresh green of the foreground. Maybe it's just nitpicking, but if it were a little greener, I think the whole thing would pop even more.

I second adding some flowers or something, to contrast the green. Little details like animals and flowers are always my favorite parts of jungle and forest backgrounds. Maybe that's just me being girly again.

If CJ wanted to make money off of AGS, he would've already. He's had more than enough chances in doing so. Many forum members have said that they would be willing to pay for AGS and have even offered to donate money to him as thanks, and he's always refused it.
Now, I'm Pesty and I'm awesome, so I CAN speak for Chris, and I know for 100% super fact that he will be uninterested in your offer, however potentially lucrative it is. But if you don't believe me, you can wait until January 4th to hear it from him.

It is such a serious topic, too! This is no time to be talking about anything other than things that haven't been inventory items, damn it!!

I played Fable. It really seemed like there was supposed to be more, more places to go and more things to do, but they ran out of time and didn't put any of it in. It was like there were entrances to places all over, but you couldn't go into any of them. It's not horrible, but it's not all that good, either.

If they had expanded on it or at least made the game world not feel as open as it does without actually being open, it would've been a good game. As it is now, it really feels unfinished and rushed, including the ending. I don't even remember the story of it, because it just didn't stand out to me. It's worth a play through, I suppose, but don't expect anything great.

If I could change something, I'd make all of my favorite games longer, to be able to explore a lot more areas. For example, I wanted more than anything to explore Chess Land in King's Quest 6! And since this is Magical Pretend Land, I can forget about how much work it would take to make all my favorite games as long as I want them! Anything can happen in Magical Pretend Land!

I would also give you more control over your character's decisions. I don't want my character to sass me back none! If I tell you to "use" someone, you "use" him as much as you possibly can! None of this "He's not my type" crap!

Basically what I'm trying to say is I would make it possible to fondle more people in games.

I've never actually had lemon pie! Have you ever tried pecan pie? It's delicious, but I can't eat it anymore because I'm deathly allergic to pecans!

All the ingredient collecting was really the only thing that annoyed me in the Kyrandia games. I liked that you could pick up so many things, though, but it was so hard to know what you were supposed to do with everything! The fireberry maze puzzle was cake compared to making potions in Kyrandia 2. That drove me batty most of the time!

Yeah I didn't like the collecting much either. And if there's one thing I really disliked somehow, was to be able to drop anything anywhere and stuff. Kinda felt wrong I don't know. Remember in Kyrandia 2 where Xanthia tries on different outfits and goes 'oh no this won't do' etc, that was irritating. I didn't like her generally. I finished 2 with a walkthrough :shame

Now see, maybe it's because I'm a girl, but I liked Xanthia and I liked that she changed clothes after every part. I thought it was fun!
