Mourir en mer is more about somebody who's bound to die, and wishes to do it at a special location.

I agree that it's not morbid or tasteless, but it's still not a matter of choosing whether to live or die...at least that's the way I interpreted it

I never felt like the main character HAD to die when he did, or that death, at the time of the game, was inevitable. Maybe that's the way the creator meant it. It probably is. The fact remains that it's about death and is done well. Even if it's not about suicide specifically, it's still a good example of working with a potentially touchy subject in a gentle manner.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this already, but the game Mourir en Mer is a game more or less about suicide that is very tastefully done and it's one of my favorite AGS games. I'd suggest playing that to get an idea of how you could do it.

As for art style, so long as the story is strong, I don't think a cartoony art style will have any impact on it.

Seems that Pesty and Ghormak have some sort of shady agreement, like a cartel of humour. They should be reported to the c&a ombudsman (yay, I could use a swedish word).

Pesty: Longhorn is the codename of the new OS. It'll probably be changed to "Windows: XP 06" or "Windows: FU" or some other random abbriviation by the time it's released.

I do not want to win because I won the time before last. It was I that picked Ghormak to win, and if I won again, I would most assuredly pick Ghormak again! It would be a vicious cycle.

Mine was mildly inspired by these two old Slovenian ladies my dad knows who believe that their neighbor or landlord or something (I don't know the man's relationship to the ladies) is putting poison into their house through the windows and also had a "computer genius" use a satellite to make a light in their house flash red.

I only saw the the end part of The Net D: but it seemed decent-ish (and it is kind of true that in the future, with ID cards and all coming, it might one day be possible to just... 'delete' someone.)

I was making a joke. I loved that movie Trading Places and find Dan Aykroyd very funny. I just couldn't let a line like that pass me by.
