God sent an angel to your boss while she was trying to sleep, informing her of the need for Gilbertcon 2004. Take pictures.

Quotea lot of the elements from the original adventure game (such as the commands) will definately be there.

So long as you can still adumbrate the elephant, I'll be happy.

Of course! You will also be able to try and give a manicure to Jareth and rub your face into the tv dinner.

Is it just me, or has anyone else seen that girl in commercials nowadays? It might just be a lady that looks like her...

I think that it was shown in schools to kids. I know I had to watch similar things when I was in elementary and middle school.

Zing!

I just got an interesting spam. At first glance it seemed like a perfectly normal "2 Free Round Trip Airline Tickets, good for worldwide
travel" lie, but at the bottom of the mail was this little story:

Quote"Why aren't you in a more interesting business?"

`Yes,' said Arthur, `yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked
filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying
"Beware of The Leopard".'"

"I know this is off the subject, but will you marry me?"

`Very deep,' said Arthur, `you should send that in to the "Reader's Digest".
They've got a page for people like you.'"

A trick to defeat spam filters, or evil samuraii at work? The latter, if you ask me.

I used to get a ton of emails featuring spam and then some excerpt from some random story. I would collect them, hoping that they would someday be put together to create the greatest story ever told. But then I got bored and deleted them.

I wholeheartedly disagree...

And I just posted this to make my post have some sort of content...

It's White Ninja: Kindergarden Years!

Also, that headcase (ha!) is totally cool.

Actually, "Labyrinth" was an adventure game, and falls into my 'best-loved' category. The first few scenes were Infocom-style text adventure, which opened out into a full-on pre-Zak style graphic adventure with verb lists etc.

Actually, mine (and Sylpher's) version is somewhat of a remake of that game, which is definately one of my favorites. There'll be more of a story than just "You are in my thrall now. Try and escape." but a lot of the elements from the original adventure game (such as the commands) will definately be there.

Dude, if there's one movie that deserves to be turned into a game, it's Labyrinth. But since I'm already doing it, if there's one movie that deserves to be turned into a game that I haven't already decided to turn into a game, it's Time Bandits. One of my favorite movies ever. I would totally play it.

Inkoddi, don't be mean to Andre -- He asked an important question here.

Andre, the program you're looking for is called CharacterBuild.exe

You can find it on one of the download pages -- Though I forgot which one.

It's not on a download page any more, CJ put it exclusively on Kazaa.

Andre, you can also use a program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to draw the characters yourself.

As for most popular AGS characters, I have two words: Richard Longhurst.

The sequel was a PS sidescroller called Skullmonkeys. I have it right here. I am looking at. It is beautiful. And fun! I've never played the Neverhood though. I couldn't get the Underdogs one to work on my computer for some reason.

Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom, Labyrinth, RLBAT and the QFG series. Those are, in my opinion, the greatest games of all time.

This year I got:

My brother and his family visiting us (best gift ever!)
The new Sims expansion pack
A wood box
A copper wall hanging
A cozy sweater
A Whats-Her-Face doll (that's for my niece, but it went to me because my niece already has one and wanted me to have one to play with her with)
And some really great art supplies, like a thing of Prismacolors that my parents got on sale for 30 bucks (or so they say!)

More than I expected, but not much because my birthday's coming up on the third of January and I asked for some of my gifts to be held until then. Besides those held off gifts, all I'm asking for my birthday are some nice cozy socks and a cake. Guess that's a sign of me getting old. Or it would be if I were not also going to buy myself some NES games.

I am 87% pure and I am also disturbed that there are people who lick other peoples' eyeballs. That's weird.

I just hope that Peter Jackson gets the rights to make The Hobbit.

I haven't seen ROTK yet, but I thought I'd mention that him getting the rights wouldn't be a problem, but he doesn't want to do the Hobbit. Three very long movies in a row takes a lot out of everyone involved, and he's said he just doesn't have the energy to do another. Maybe eventually, though. I'd love to see it.

Those were the greatest things I've ever seen and you must make more to appease me. They fill me with the kind of joy that is only found through humorous flash cartoons of crazy people doing Harry Potter puppet shows.

And I guess you showed all those people who are all "OMG U CANT ANIMATE KTHXDIE OMG :DD" and stuff. Very well done stuff, sir.

Hi Pestilience,

Just wondering if you could tell us how things are going with the game.

This game has been put on hold for another game I'm working on with Sylpher. I was stalled for months with this one because of lack of inspiration. It will get finished, though. I can guarantee that. But not until the new game is done.

Thanks for the interest, though! Knowing some people care helps me want to get it done.
