Whoa Gamefreek... not that I mind or anything, but why exactly have you just dug up two posts from JANUARY?

Yeah, but if she started similar topics, people would tell her there's already been a topic about it. This way is better, in my opinion.

Oh, c'mon guys! Stop fighting already. Is the topic really important enough for you to break up your friendship over? Don't leave all mad. Just agree to disagree and be done with it!

I know why that thread was locked. It wasn't because "newbies aren't allowed to debate things oldbies did". It was because the thread wasn't made for debating. To quote Scummbuddy's entire post:
QuoteI know what you may be thinking (olbies especially), this topic has been done to death. But by using the search function on these forums, no previous topic/thread comes up from the one that I've seen before. This could be due to the fact that Chris purged the forums some time ago in an attempt to increase the speed of the forums. Now, I do know that there are some out there that would like to hear from your mind and your experience, so please, no yelling at this idea, but either post a redirection link to an old one, either on ezboards, or on these forums so that it may be read over again, and if, and only if, some intelligent matter may be added, will it be brought up again.

I don't know why no one read what he said. It was right there in his first post. The thread was made to get links to the old threads.

Another reason is because there is rarely anything new brought into those sort of discussions. When it comes to big topics like that, people refuse to change their ideas or perspectives on them, which always seems to end up with everyone going around and around and around in circles. If you have an idea that no one else has ever mentioned on the topic, then maybe if you start a thread with it it won't get locked.

To summarize, the topic has been done to death. Start a topic with something everyone HASN'T discussed a million times instead, like "Jello Puddin' Pops or Good Humor Choco Tacos?". It's much more interesting, if you ask me.

Just the fact that Lucas Arts is still making adventure games is pretty awesome of them. I think FT2 looked pretty good. And I think Sam and Max 2 looks awesome.

I still have faith in Lucas Arts and it's very admirable that they haven't given up on adventure games. And I felt that MI4 was a good adventure game too. No Monkey Island, but it was good as a stand alone game.

Arrr, ninjas. They be me natural enemy, but I love 'em anyway. Here in Pueblo, we have our own ninja:

http://www.geocities.com/darkninja00/DarksDossier.html

I am sharing DarkNinja with the world. DarkNinja trains in the basement of a church and is pictured in the Mineral Palace park, a park in which I have lunched many times.

Check out the rest of his webpage. It features Virtual Places avatars up the wazoo.

Fear the DarkNinja.

Real Ultimate Power is the greatest webpage ever, by the way. It'd be better if it were about pirates, though.

Since I can't get a picture of me being emo, I made a Five Minute Flash Movie of it.

A bit of confusion..  step # 3 (?) is "Pants"  Do you not normally wear them?  I highly recommend it (despite what BOYD says)

Emo kids have a special type of pants, see. I wear pants all the time.

Geez, I'm not Butcher.

Don´t missunderstand me, but... there is another magazine "A"... Why two? I don´t mean that one of that must disappear, just that... Are there possiblities of a fussion between the two magazines?

I like both of the publications, and it could be very confortable to have the contents in one place, maybe even with two different URL, like an attachment... what do you think?

Sylpher explains why he doesn't want to merge with AGS Zine here: http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=7405 and I agree with him.

Besides, why can't there be more than one AGS e-zine? It's not like we're competing for readers. Do other gaming magazines merge just because they have the same reader base or similar content?

Name: Amberle Johnson

Age: 20 (21 at the time of next Mittens)

Email: pestilence@zombieworld.com

Where you live: Pueblo, Colorado

Where you could travel to: At the moment, not many places outside of Colorado. Hopefully by next year, I'll be able to go anywhere, especially if I start saving now.

Where you would like Mittens to be: Colorado, of course!

Can you help locate places in your area for places to stay?: Oh, definately. Colorado has some great camping spots. Blue Mesa is my favorite camping area and it would be good for a large, noisy group since it's out in the middle of nowhere.

...Come to Colorado!!

Killing nuns.

Wait, I mean "Hanging out with my nephew and playing more 'The Sims: Superstar' than is healthy for me". I get those two confused all the time.

Although I've never tried it, teabag flinging sounds like such the fun. If I ever get out of my parents' house, I'm definately trying it out.

And I used to play Quake until I got seasick from it and have since been too scared to play, with the fear that I might puke at any moment and get killed several times over by my dad.

How could you lose a deposit over taping plastic cats to the roof?

Edit: Oh, wait, I forgot to stay on topic. I think it's very possible for girls to be friends with guys. I personally prefer to hang out with guys, much for the same reasons Mostly does. Most of the girls I've encountered are way to froo frooy for me. It's like they can't tell I'm sick of hearing them complain about their boyfriends or some such stupidity.

I liked the Tomb Raider movie. And the Super Mario Brothers movie was fun, even though it was only vaguely based on the game. I weep at the idea of a Myst miniseries and Alone in the Dark might translate well to film.

I, for one, would like to see a movie based on Princess Tomato. People would at first assume it was something in the vein of VeggieTales, but would soon learn their horrible, horrible mistake!

Congrats. Those seem to be in much better condition than my old Sierra boxes. I don't know how the hell I manage to get them so worn - at least I stopped lending the boxes to friends after certain people lost my Colonel's Bequest magnifying glass and my KQ collection manual (with all the copy protection, argh).

It's a good thing I don't have a credit card - buying old games off e-Bay would ruin me. I'll have to settle for garage sales. I recently found Heart of China in excellent condition for $2. Unfortunately there's no Sierra product catalog in the box, which used to be my favorite part of the games - I could spend hours just reading descriptions of games (the 10th anniversary catalog is particularly great! :))

Ooh, Heart of China, one of the most underappreciated, unplayed games out there. A definate favorite.

I recently bought KQ 1-5 on three cds and KQ6 in the box with everything still in it for two bucks at a yard sale. Now I try to check yard sales as much as possible.

I wish I could find my copy of HoC... I love that game.

Alrighty, there've been some great entries this week. Now, I bet everyone expects me to choose Eric's, but this fake $100 bill in my pocket says otherwise.

Anyway, out of all the entries, I like Ben's DalekGil the best. Sorry that I'm not going to do anything fancy like Gil did. I'm too darn lazy.

Avast! I hear tales that I won the last sprite jam. If this be true, it's up to me to start the next!

So, the topic. Well, the obvious choice would be something piratey, but I don't like being that obvious. The next obvious choice is, of course, everyone's favorite baby eater, Gilbot. Sure, we know he's a robot, but what sort? Well, my friends, that's what I'm asking of you.

This week, you will be required to draw Gilbot, how you picture His Royal Robot Badness.

The size will be 150 x 150 pixels. As many colors as you want. And animated. Because how can you have a non-animated sprite jam about Gilbot?

Arrrr, have fun, mateys!

Yay! I am such the winner!

Which means I have to think of a topic for the next one...

And as a sidenote, Pesty your avatar rocks....Man, I love pirates...even diseased ones...

Yep, we pirates are such the awe.

To be on topic, it is 2:40 am and 78 degrees fahrenheit here. It makes me sad.
