The word has it that we'll be needing tents. So it's time for the official Lapaset tent roll call!

So here's the list so far, I'll keep it updated when I get more info.

My tent, 2 - 3 people:
- Me
- Inkoddi
- ?

Stickieee's tent, 2 people:
- Stickieee
- ?

Pablo's tent, 1 - 2 people:
- Pablo
- ?

That's 7 people out of 9 (Haddas doesn't count, because he sleeps in a warm and comfy bed in the house).

I guess, in worst case scenario, some people can sleep in cars. :P

When I gave my vote for the photography competition I thought it would be something along the lines of "Take a photo that would go well with a newspaper article titled "*insert title here*"" or "Theme is music, the rest is up to the photographer" or "Capture people in their everyday chores" or something like that.

This competition is just one mess. Sorry.

Because of personal reasons, I'll be leaving already on Thursday (which is the 6th of July).

Planktonman was probably the stupidest/most annoying thing these forums have ever seen, however, it's no wonder since he was your creation, Hammerite.

I must say that I loved your comic big time, Rolf. Please make more.

I do use it, I hate games that have only the option to cycle through the cursor modes by right-clicking and lack the icon buttons.

Name me a DSLR that costs £200 and I'll buy it instant.

No, if you plan to become a professional photographer, then sure, go ahead and get an SLR camera. But quite frankly, seeing that chicky is only planning to start photography he'll do just fine with a compact camera for now. For example, I've got an old Canon Powershot A60 and it has all the options you (rharpe) listed (though quite limited) minus interchangeable lenses and detachable flash. Instead of getting expensive and professional quality stuff right at the beginning, get something cheaper and good instead, as you would do when buying your first guitar/other instrument. And after a while if you still think you'll want to keep going, get better equipment.

At work, though, I'm using either a Nikon D100 or a D200. Pure love. <3

EDIT: To clarify, I don't mean that you shouldn't get an SLR unless you plan to become a professional, I'm just saying that there's no point in getting an SLR when you're only starting photography.

Another thing you might want to take into account is that when displaying images and photos on your page, instead of resizing the images in code, resize them in paint program. You end up with more files, sure, but it makes loading times faster and looks prettier, especially with resized photos. Right now the logo and the photos look cruddy, like if you resized them with nearest neighbour on.

I second the Powershot comment, and that being able to photograph as a graphic designer helps a lot. Also, try staying away from automatic mode straight from the beginning and learn all the came controls. Also also, I have noticed that getting known to other photographers and chatting/photographing with them is a great way to learn different techniques and small tips.

If you enjoy photographing, you might want to try to get a job on your local newspaper as a photographer. That's what I have been doing for about five months now (as a substitute) and it's an awesome job.

Hammerite repellant.

Actually, I'd rather let CJ to surprise me with all the ass kicking new features I have never even could dream about!

Righto, I'm not coming, you can remove my name from the list.

The reason? Well, I have already hell lot of stuff planned for this summer (including two (2) AGS meetings) and I just happened to spend a nice amount of cash on stuff. And as it seems that I might start my studies next autumn, I'd love to have as much money on my bank account as possible by then!

But how nice that some of you wanted me to come so bad! I'll... buy you fellas a drink when we meet... next summer perhaps!

One more vote for the photographing contest!

So far all is well.

Though I did receive an email this morning. From myself...

The 969/666 thing was kinda bizarre, especially since it was sent from my account, to me, while I was asleep...

Dude, you're not the only one. I too got an email from myself while I was sleeping. The only difference was, that my mail's topic was "57657" and the message was simply "5556". Is this creepy or what?

Other than that, I've been enjoying eating raw meat all day, as well as cutting satanic signs to my body with a knife.
