Hints & Tips / Re: Christmas Present Remake

So you found the lock? Examine it, there is another way to open it if you accidentally lost the combination.

It was just a matter of time when Johnson had to do his military service. And now look what it did to him! He even turned green.

1. Why hasn't this question been asked yet?
2. Which musician's (or band's) CDs make the best frisbees?
3. How many turnips are required to build a staircase to the moon?
4. How come so many people can't count?

1. Because this is the first time I'm replying to this thread.
2. I prefer real frisbees, sorry.
3. 7 and a half.
4. I can't answer that, because this is the game of 3 questions.

1. If this is 7, what is this?
2. Are Egg McMuffins any good?
3. What would MacGyver do?
#327
Oh, no Mittens report? I'll just release it myself, then.

I shall consider! No promises yet though. I've been working for months to earn monies so I can spend them all next summer, but it would be nice if I had something left when (if) I start my studies next autumn.

Not the closest, but possibly the cheapest would be in Helsinki (HEL). Second alternative would be Tampere (TMP).

There's also a place called Snoopers Paradise, which is bursting full of old game consoles, old games, and original Game & Watch's for like £10.

Okay, that's enough reason for me to consider attending. But seeing that I'm planning to attend Lapaset AND Mittens, I'm only going to Brittens if I can find really cheap flights. Like, REALLY REALLY cheap. Which I doubt though.

Umm, Goldmund, I realize how late this is coming but... you don't happen to have you and Dominika's Mittens photos somewhere on the Intornet?

I would also be happy to volunteer for the comitee that hasto do with music.

I'm up for this as well (+ best sound), if you decide to have a committee.

How about any other kind of music than "techno"? I don't think none of the games I have played during the past couple of months have had a "techno" soundtrack (and trust me, it's not just a couple of games). Are you able to make awesome orchestral tunes? Laid-back caribbeanish tracks? Sci-fi-ish mysterious atmospheric tunes? Medieval music? Easy-listening? Jazz? Rock? Hmm?

Andail didn't give out his phone number to the official Mittens phonebook, but I remember someone trying to call/send a text message to Andail when he hadn't arrived yet. I'm guessing Chrille might have his number.

I too want to enter, but I'm not sure if I can because another game I'm working on is nearing its finishing stages. But I have an idea I would like to turn into an OROW game, so we'll see!

HORSE the Band - THE MECHANICAL HAND
The Advantage - Elf Titled (well, it was unofficially released in 2005 ¬¬)
Mew - And the Glass Handed Kites
Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase
Emilie Simon - La marche de l'empereur OST (March of the Penguins OST)
Lemon Demon - Damn Skippy!

Oh, top 10 or 5. Well, mine is top 6, in no particular order.

I started out joking, but like CJ said, I took it a bit too seriously. I don't really TAKE BACK anything I said, except my coments to Petteri. When Pett responded "God, I'm never making a joke again," I instantly knew I had been wrong to attack him, but, because of the pride issues I mentioned, I couldn't take it back. I do now. Petteri, I'm sorry.

Apology accepted.

Heya Marky, I'm working for the local newspaper, so I'll help you. I've been writing articles, interviewing people and working on the layout so I have some experience how it all works. :P

For all that people will say that they hated the KQ series, for people (such as myself) who started out Adventure games with that series, it's classic.

Agreed. King's Quest 5 was one of the first adventure games I played so it will always have a special place in my heart even though it's full of walking deaths. I don't mind so much about the sudden deaths scenes, I mean, it's quite obvious that if you walk off a cliff, you fall to your doom, right? :P

As for the favourite moment... well, when playing with my friend we used to laugh at many funny animations in King's Quest 5. I can't really think of any favourite moment, but if I had to choose one it would be from King's Quest 5 or 6. I never really got into the earlier games, I haven't even played 7 and the demo of 8 didn't convince me.
