Os, this is great and you know it. (I am only saying this because you are on irc and if I say otherwise you shall "teh slaughter the Pete" as I know you would).

Seriously, though. Those graphics are exactly what I would expect from Old Skool AGI. Great stuff.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I think the mouth and hands are MEANT to be that way. It's the whole feel of Old Skoolness. I think. Talk to os.

QuoteSure it looked awesome but Yoda is a puppet for GOD's sake!!
I'd agree with the puppet bit, but why is God with such emphasis? it's not his fault.

QuoteI'm extremely surprised that nobody's mentioned Indiana Jones
Wish granted: Indiana Jones Sucks just as much as Star Wars :D
Despite the smiley, I'm not kidding. I can't stand Mr. Jones. It's almost as bad as James Bond.

Australia is so very far away

I was just thinking, the music one would be REALLY hard to do, because everyone has different methods of composing, and we all have our different favourite software.

It'd be a jolly long game if you endeavoured to explain the workings of EACH of them. You'd have to explain how to do loops in about 5 different programs...

Much better. I really like that. It matches the art style/colours perfectly.

General Discussion / Re: Happy birthday Alky!

Was this an underhand way of getting everyone to sing happy birthday to Vel? [/cynical face]

Regardless, it seemed to work...

*Pete joins the singing.

amen to the first 6 sentences.

Yeah, I know DG.Ã,  But I don't think they suck. Don't know why.

I just focus it all on Lucas because I hate him. Why do I hate him? Because he stuffed up Star Wars. Why don't I hate the others? Because I'm too busy hating Lucas.

EDIT: I hate star wars full stop, too. The fact that George lucas insisted on making it kinda annoyed me, too.

You don't get me.

I like American Graffiti. And I would probably like George Lucas if he HADN'T ruined Star Wars.

The fact is, he did, and I hate him for it.

It's probably not fair, but that's not the point. The point is, I think he sucks.
#371
yeah, well. fair enough.

But I hate him for star wars. I mean REALLY hate him.
#372
George Lucas suxors MORE!

I really like the look of it minimi.

Zor, I like yours also, however the black on brown can be a little patronising, per se. The words walk/look etc should be the brighter ones so the focus is clear.

And yeah, as has been said, swap the sizes. Apart from that, I love it.

I sucked at maths. Don't know why, because now that I'm out of school I love it, and I do physics and maths and stuff in my spare time.

The only thing I hate about that comic is that they couldn't even spend the time to work out a proper equation. They just used a bunch of symbols :(

EDIT: okay, that made me sound like a complete geek. I don't LOVE maths, so to speak, where as I DO love english and music. There - those are 2 relatively normal topics.

Aren't they?

you are persistent boyd, I will grant you that ;D

General Discussion / Re: Film trivia!

fake trivia is enjoyable to read when it is something that COULD be believable, as opposed to:

The Little Mermaid was originally titled 'The Fat, Ass-Slapping Wonder Woman of the Water with jiant chest-jugs and no lower genitals'.

When it's like this, I read it and go, "well...actually....no."

oh, you're just being humble.

The Rumpus Room / Re: The MSPaint game
Tue 18/05/2004 12:46:02
It's not an easy topic. It's origins are arguable occultish:

The so-called “Star of David” is essentially a “hexagram,” nothing more, nothing less.  There is no Biblical or Jewish evidence that traces this ancient occult symbol with king David of Israel.  However, there is evidence that it was used by king Solomon, after he turned to pagan gods and the occult, late in his life, causing God to become very angry with him .

A Masonic book called The Second Mile, an Eastern Star book, reveals that the “six pointed star is a very ancient symbol, and one of the most powerful.”  The hexagram is used in magic, witchcraft, sorcery and occultism and the casting of zodiacal horoscopes by astrologers.  “It was considered to posses mysterious powers."

But essentially it has lost this meaning, and is now regarded to be a symbol of good luck... but anyway... back to the game...
