No [my opinion]. You're trying do find a difference between popular and kick-ass. A game isn't popular if people don't like it (I personally hate his games, but popular opinion would suggest larger society thinks differently). A game that people like, could, under normal circumstances, be called kick-ass (NOT meaning that it is the best game ever made in all time). So he HAS made a good game, and most definitely cannot fit under this definition:

Okay - I get what you mean. I didn't clarify my statement. I meant that everyone who's been mentioned so far has created a kick-ass game (obviously there are those who disagree, but if the game truly sucked, it wouldn't be popular), so they aren't morons. They're just unwise, maybe ignorant. But certainly not retarded or idiots.

I don't think anyone who is famous enough for us to know their name can be classified as a "moron".

Another thing that jumped into my head: I hate ads that promote the TV channel you're already watching!

There's this program on (Australian) TV called "sunrise" (like "Good Morning America/Australia/Iraq/Other_country") and they put out this ad saying:

"Well, since we've become the most popular morning program in Australia, why don't you watch the evening news on the same channel? The hosts are 'our kind of people', and they really know what they're talking about. So make the right choice - watch channel seven news. And we'll see YOU bright and early tomorrow morning *cheesy smile*"

I've never heard that one before! I can't think of anyone I know, or ever met that finished off with 'ay' on a regular basis, apart from those wannabe thugs that wear two-tonne necklaces.

At the risk of sounding almost sort of racist against accents, I must say the american one really irritates me. I (seriously) get a headache from listening to George Bush, and Bill Clinton did much the same. When I watched the 9/11 reports on TV, the thing that stuck out most to me was how stupid those people sounded. I know it's all about what you get used to etc, but I didn't think an accent would grate that much with me...

Well... I'm australian, so I suppose I'm not really eligible to answer the question, but i LOVE the new zealand accent. It's not actually as bad as a lot of people make out. It's not so much "fush and chups" as it is "fsh 'nd chps". But not that retarded...

I love the aussie accent more, though. It just rolls of the tongue!

Ads for safe sex piss me off.

Sure, it's an important topic, but they present it in such a blase manner, it's like "LET'S ALL HAVE SEX COZ IT'S GREAT! (we will insert a brief, five second reminder that you might wanna use a condom, too) I LOVE SEX, AND BOY, AM I RANDY TONIGHT, HONEY!"

And Australia as some crappy doctor doing an ad about how the Australian Health Scheme is improving (by that, he means getting screwed up by turning into the american system) and he can't talk properly! He has the most annoying lisp in the world, and he calls the "Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme" the "Faaarmeshootical Benfit Skeeem".

Damn doctors with their big paychecks and minimal vocabularies...

That would be a great game. And we'd each get an extra $700 dollars for every month we play it, of course.
