haha! i found that funny for some reason (I mean REALLY funny. As in Laugh Out Loud kind of stuff). I know that it was meant to have SOME element of sardonic humour in it, but I might have been a little more zellous.

P.S Upload the new version NOW, my minion. I think I know the mistakes Gonzo would've pointed out, and it drives me NUTS to be reading this with the full knowledge that there's a perfect copy floating somewhere around your hard drive.... SO UPDATE NOW!  8)

Oh, one last thing... I'm really confused. What made anyone think that Douglason was the murderer. I mean really, come on. It's not like there was anything suspicious.....  :-*

EDIT: On a more serious note, can I ask about the title of the story? Why was it the 'perfect' murder? Maybe I'm just missing something...

oh, the irony.....

Here is my oh-so-controversial MIDI!!!

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/Wrath.mid

It's called Wrath, which took me AGES to think of, and has no real inspiration other than the fact that I wanted to actually enter something.

It has an abrupt ending. This signifies my impatience.
It has a bad title. This signifies my impatience.
It has a bit of repetition. This signifies my impatience.

Therefore I should win!! Not only is the song ENTITLED wrath, but it has been written by a WRATHFUL heart!

oooh yeah!

EDIT: Just for interest, it's in 11/8

You threw away ALL your illegal stuff?

Can anyone make any sense out of this?

I don't buy into a lot of this modern music, for various reasons. One of them is that most bands seem to write music for money, as opposed to writing music for music.

This is the part where everyone floods me with useless messages about how {insert band name here} has really powerful lyrics and they do it to ellicit a message, not for the dough.

I am completely aware of this. That is why I used the words 'A lot of this modern music' and 'most bands' instead of 'every musician alive'.

Bands like 'A Perfect Circle' are a good example. Some of their songs are just SO amazingly cool (even though I'm not usually a fan of that genre), while others seem to have been put on just so they can fill a cd.

So it's hard for me to justify very many modern bands. I mean, seriously, when you think about it, if Bon Jovi got a song that was still remembered one-hundred-fifty years later, it'd be a miracle. The fact that Beethoven and Mozart could do exactly that says SOMETHING about what we're missing in today's society.

But then again, I'm just a twisted, bitter old man who wants violins and pianos to RULE THE WORLD like they used to...

I like your new sig, OSC.

Not quite as *interesting* as your previous one, but I guess it's all worked out for the best  8) :)

That's not cool.

Although I'm undecided about whether or not Oral Sex is good or not! I mean, undeniably the FEELING is great but.....

This next part contains descriptions that may make you want to vomit... you WERE warned.

I know a couple of guys who went out with girls, Gave them head, SWALLOWED!! and then wanted to KISS them straight afterwards. That grossed the guys out completely. So MY verdict is:

If a girl gives you head, it's fine, as long as she doesn't want to kiss afterwards. Then, when she gets cancer, just laugh and say THAT'S YOUR FAULT FOR WANTING TO BE ALL GROSS AND STUFF!!

problem solved. unless you're gay.....

in which case you should be posting in another thread ;)

It's funny that no one has noticed that in my sig, I have naked men, women, sex scenes, stripping, cross dressing and drug use.

I HAD noticed, but I didn't want to mention it, in case people started a campaign agains you. I'd feel kind of responsible then... but now..... THOUGH HAS BROUGHT IT UPON THYSELF!

Ok - this is so basic you probably wouldn't accept it as an entry. In fact, I DON'T WANT YOU TO ACCEPT IT!!

pleeeeez don't let me win (not that I'm excpecting to, this is just assurance) because I will forget to check this until sometime next year..... anyway...

PLASTERED PEANUTS, PROUDLY SPONSERED BY DAVE GILBERT!!!

EDIT: I don't know why I picked on Dave... his face just looked so irresistable.....

Bolero annoys me. 13 minutes of music is okay, but when it's the same {insert number between 10-20} bars over and over again, with the only variation coming from crescendo's and added insrtumentation, it gets on my nerves. Don't get me wrong - I don't presume to think it lacks finesse, or skill, or style, or challenge... but it doesn't work for me personally...

Three greatest under-rated composers?? hmmm...

Liszt (only because I can play his stuff and brag about it when some of my friends can't... :-[ It's selfish, I know, but it's also very rewarding  ;))

Elgar!!! I have ABSOLUTELY fallen in love with 'Enigma Variations'.... *sigh* I am obsessed at the moment. He's one awesome string composer.

Handel!! I know he's pretty famous, but a dude who can write 'Messiah' in such a short amount of time, and have it sound SOOOOO amazingly cool can't get enough credit from me.

Hmm... I could probably think of a MILLION others if I tried real hard...... but I'm lazy at the moment, and I wish not to be thinking........

I hate bananas because they give me violently graphic dream sequences of Michael Jackson with plastic surgery around his pubic area...wtf?

Okay... so maybe that wasn't a REAL quote....

My point is, you don't have to know scripting to START. You do have to know scripting to FINISH!

If you can't see the relationship between that and the quote I used....then you're pretty darn silly  :D ;D ;) 8) :P

Wow... this has become very...political, in a sense.

Although I disagree with RickJ on the whole, I DON'T think it's appropriate for other people to say "Hey man! Get over it! They're Boobs! No one Cares!!"

The fact that RickJ started a whole thread on it is an indication that SOMEONE cares. And we should respect that, even if only one or two people want it gone.

Maybe OVC should turn his sig upside down and invert the colours. That way, small children will be confused, and 'older' viewers can have a good old riot staring at a pair of black breasts bouncing upside down. I know I'D laugh... :D 8)

Yes.

(Was there ever any question?)

Hm..... well... I can record my midi file through my speakers as a wav, and then convert that wav to an mp3, so I'm still within the desired rules, and I'm still submitting a midi! yay! problem solved.

I still haven't started on mine, but I probably will in the next five minutes or so..... when inspiration hits.

EDIT: I also agree that sound plays a VERY important part in music, and that midi does not live up to this, but if you are so passionate, why can't you convert any midi's we submit using your own software? Just a question...

General Discussion / Re:AGS BirthDay?

I have decided that I approve greatly of this public holiday concept.

However with so many dates to choose from (Ac, Ac's first game, becoming AGS etc.) I say we take a day for EACH of them! It's only fair, and it's not showing favouritism to any one release.

They waved to me and shouted, "Join us, and we will lick your armpits and dry you of your ball sweat!"  Naturally, I started driving faster, when Robert DeNiro popped up out of nowhere, and stood right in the middle of the street.  He seemed to be having an epileptic seizure, and was wearing a wedding dress.  I couldn't stop in time, and ran him over.  His body popped open and spewed forth many copies of Penthouse and National Inquirer.  I grabbed a copy of National Inquirer, and saw that m0ds had recently gotten a sex change opereration from Yufster.  M0ds had also changed his name to m0dsette.  At the end of the tunnel, BOYD1981 was riverdancing and singing a song in a high-pitched voice.  I ran him over too, but he managed to get back up and chase after me.  He did catch up, then pick up the car, and flung it into the air.  After about two hours, I landed in Scotland, then realised I was dreaming, and woke myself up.

*sigh* That sorta thing happens to me in REAL LIFE!!!

Hello all - I am awake again! Let us celebrate.

To answer Indiana, I can't think of a specific verse that talks about MARRIAGE only... I honestly can't. It talks about not being gay though, so I suppose that sort of covers the marriage aspect.

But again - a direct answer from me would be 'no'.

To answer earlier posts, yeah - I messed up. I said the earth was 2,000 years old because...actually... I have no hell of an idea why I said that...maybe I was just really tired, I have no clue ;D  The rest of you were right - the earth is about 4,000 (5,000 at the absolute most) years old.

For DG - The dinosaur issue doesn't come into the bible a lot because the bible is not what you would call a 'modern epic'. There is no description of pretty much anything environmental if you look at it. No one comments on the architechture of Pharo's empire, no one talks about the soft hay Jesus was born in (who knows - coulda been prickly as hell...) and no one cares about flying lizards unless they do something dramatic for the plot. Which they didn't. So they didn't get a mention.

That, however, doesn't deny their existence at all. I believe there were all sorts of freaky animals running around, and I don't know too many *normal* christians who don't. But I don't believe they predate the existance of the earth. When I said "dinosaurs that are supposedly 6 million years old" I was talking about it from a scientific point of view. I believe dinosaurs did NOT predate man. Well, maybe by a day or two, because God created animals before man, but not any longer.

As for farlander's posts about the Jewish/Roman trial, I will have to look into it further. I can completely see where you're coming from, and it does seem a little strange, however there are a few things that don't quite add up. I won't go into it because it would take forever and nobody would care. But also I don't have any proof for my side, so I'll shut up...

okay... so I said I was going to bed... and so I lied...

but this IS my last post.

You are right, DG, there are a lot of fossils around, and I don't pretend to have any clue whether they all match up or not, but I have always wondered how they determine the colour of an animal that is supposedly 6 million years old. I know there are ways of predicting etc, but they act awful smug for a couple of people who've been wandering this earth supposedly only a TENTH of the time of dinosaurs.

This really IS goodnight, now.

Give my regards to broadway  :-*
