It's like I enjoyed the Leisure Suit Larry series a lot (didn't we all?), but then when I played later ones (after #3), I just totally hated (and still do) the new cartoony Larry. I wish they never did that.
That's one of the re4asons I never played the later games.

Although I think cartoony Guybrush looks nice, but not as good as pixelly Guybrush.
#1784

I agree. With ace characters like that, you have got an award winner. Go for it, and don't rush.
#1785

Hey thanks a lot, Redrum. If I ever update it, (save/load GUIs etc.) I could just give you a pm, right?

I think it looks pretty sweet.

I too am also sick of nothingness threads, although at one stage in my n00bish days i too was guilty of an idea thread. Needless to say the game never got completed.

I think at the top of 'Start new thread' field it should say:
Think about your topic:
1. Do you have at least 2 screenshots?
2. At least some characters?
3. Mapped and planned out the whole game?
Otherwise please don't post, it wastes CJ's money.

You could also use google translator to translate the bits that you need.
#1789

Well your IP does get recorded everytime you post if a banning is ever in need ...

Akumayo: I used 'Visual AGI' Sound Editor (Final Beta) to create the melody, then exported it as a MIDI, with some final editing in Evolution Sound Studio. I've found that this method allows anyone to create nice sounds, even if they are a little primitive (only three channels, remember.) This one was created with very little effort on my part.

Nice little tune, I can imagine playing gameboy with it. Keep it up!

Oops. This was no nOObism, just a little mix-up. Sorry.

That's what they all say... :D

Nice char, just the lines seem a little wobbly and maybe his mouth is too high. His jacket is also too blue for me, though some may disagree.

Well, welcome to the forums, buddy.
#1792

Well it is hard to believe as others have said.

But if you are really Josh, then I pay my respect to you for making Space Quest VI, and wish you good luck with th movie.

It is still very hard to believe I must say.
#1793

I'm using 2.61, no beta. I hop it works for you and others.
#1794

Hey very nice sketches, I like the diagonal one the best though. Good luck with your game!

oooh, edit sorry: good luck with your *project*, heh.

"Hey that looks nice, perhaps reduce the window glare and make the walls less bright."

A post in the CL.

This one is very good, just maybe use LT's title with a sunrise gradient.

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/sunrisezombies.gif

This is good as well, just replace the title again.
#1797

Well it never used to. But that's not the point, it looks like Clueless is trying to replicate SCUMM, so I pointed him in the direction of my LEC template, so he can cut and paste and use whatever script if he wants to.

You could also go:

string name;
GetLocationName (mouse.x, mouse.y, name);
SetLabelText (int gui, int object, name);

EDIT: This may sound vain, but check here: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=15771.0

No, ali, you're just as confused as the rest of us.

Personally, I'm baffled?
