I would totally play this:

Haha I was just about to mention Brutal Legend. That game would kick ass as an adventure.

Haha I started, got about 30 seconds into the song before I realized it was going nowhere. So I scrapped it and waited till inspiration struck, which was about half an hour ago. The song ended sounding absolutely nothing like the theme :D

I'm not entirely sure what they are to be honest. My first thought was that they were a bunch of vaginas...

You should be able to lock/remove your own threads. Look at the bottom left.

I think you're only able to that in the Technical Forum.

I was trying to use the 'Standard SCUMM GUI'.

I wrote that template and I can tell you it's WAY outdated!

@Shivermesideways
Thanks for the kind words about my track! Yea I've thought of recording each track separately, and at one point even recording each drum separately, but at the end of the day I'm just waaaaay too lazy!! Regarding your track, I like the way it's constructed, and it has a very cool old school metal sound, which I dig because it's the kind of music I grew up listening to. The intro riff reminded me a bit of No Leaf Clover by Metallica, and I thought maybe the midi parts sounded a bit too midi at times, but besides that I think it's a really cool song! Congrats.

@MMMorshew
Cool track, reminded me of the kind of music I'd hear during a level of doom. Ambient, starts off slow with more instruments coming in later. Nice work on the old school video game sound.

@Viking
This track is quite awesome, I won't lie. I can definitely see it working as the final track in an adventure game during the laast puzzle. I love the suspense you've built while at the same staying ambient!

@Dualnames
Wow this piece is ambient. I can see it working in an adventure game inside a cave or something. I'm not quite sure if it's suited for a final boss, but otherwise good work.

@Nikolas
Instant flashbacks to the arcade! I can see this working in some fighter game like Mortal Kombat or something. I love the whole pump-up vibe you've built. Really action-packed and full of life!

@Phemar
Holy crap... I never thought I'd encounter something as awesome as this. You're probably the best musician/composer I've ever heard. Keep up the good work!!

@Le Woltaire
I really love the sound of the accordion so I quite liked your track. Though as I said to others I'm not quite sure if it works as final boss  music. Still cool, although it did feel a little too 'punctuated' at times with all the staccato notes going on.

@Daremes
Nice short tune. I wouldn't quite put as a final boss tune in a game, but I can see it working for a cute little platformer or something. Nice work.

Now... To make a decision! I seem to be in a toss up between ShiverMeSideways and Viking...

But I think I'll go with ... ShiverMeSideways!

I also think the really slow people should be named and shamed aswell :P

Come on, sometimes factors beyond our control in the real world prevent us from doing our work on time :/

All I hear is strange noise. Is that the "Midi drums" you mentioned? I don't really hear any melody either.

Oh jesus, i just downloaded it now. No idea how that happened :/

I'll fix it ASAP.

Edit: Ok, it's fixed, new link is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?dezjjmztazn.

Is it just me, or is this entry horribly broken?

Do you mean mine? What do you mean by broken?
#397
It is FIERCE.

It is TOUGH.

This is the FINAL SHOWDOWN.

I wrote it in a higher key and with midi drums because I thought it sounds more video gamey that way.

I have nothing against hi-res games, though when I see beginners in the C&C forum drawing in a low res style for a high resolution game, I think that's something that ought to be cured.

That's not too bad, it's when they have an object/character/foreground that's drawn in a different resolution to everything else. Ends up looking really disorientating!
