Hey, did Dualnames choose the cover art? ;)

Yeah, you guys can thank/blame Duals for this - on a side note I do both quite frequently for a variety of reasons:)

Peder Johnsen donates some monies for an awesome game!

Thanks, Peder!

While I can't confirm right now whether Primordia will be going commercial or not, it is being seriously considered right now.

Thanks for your patience with updates everyone - the wait should be worth it as we have a lot to show off, and will do so quite soon... ish :D

I can, however, confirm our official cover art for Primordia.

:P

Just wanted to say, albeit irrelevant to most right now - what I've seen most recently is absolutely brilliant, really, sock knocking off stuff...

I am totally stuck at the start which is always a good sign of an intelligent game :P

The soundtrack has now hit 70 mins.

I also wanted to check - the website, why does it land on the wallpaper page?

Also, is it okay to put the old video I made for youtube into the release something thread, OR, any chance of a rolling demo?  :=

Keep up the good work gentlemen :)

The website has er... Fallen into ruin I'm afraid. I tried a major overhaul a while back with new graphics that would have allowed me to add content much more easily, but I suck at Frontpage so it failed miserably. Basically when I find a decent window in Primordia production I'll try again, maybe in a month or so. Pretty much been channelling all my efforts directly into making assets for the game itself, which probably isn't such a bad thing in the long run.

Yeah, put it up man - I miss that video!

Hell yeah I'm in. Been so darn slack with primordial updates lately I'm starting to feel pretty guilty.

Oh, and here's a little something I did recently. Wasn't going to show it for a while yet, but to heck with it;

Idea two totally rocks. I dunno if the scan lines and busted up monitor UI/border are part of the final visuals - but they hella should be, very nice indeed.

@Hudders - Ah ED-209, how I adore thee!

@ Scarab - Yep, caterpillar treads look like the order of the day:)

EDIT) Ah hell, floating is even easier. Plus I only have about 15 minutes left to do all the animations anyway.

I dunno, I'd kinda like to hear more from the AGS musicians in the comps:)
Keeping to oneself is all well and good, but an active forum is a healthy forum:D
I for one like joining comps not so much to test skill, but usually just to get away from my daily asset grind and generally interact with other AGS forum members.

Dudes, whoa, awesome entries! Gameboy, rad! And Oraxon, man, that's some juicy eye candy!

I, er, never got past the lineart for mine either:D

I'll take;

5) Giant (100-150px) Robo Monster -must have lasers and have pod/head big enough for two vampire twins

I find the best start is usually to find some good references;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jaGyv0KRPw&feature=related

Which in this case is mostly droplets hitting the window and staying still, with the occasional streak forming.
I find for animations like this Photoshop CS4's 'tween' feature helps a quick atmosphereic animation look a lot smoother.

Yeah, I just realized using ctrl to negate snap works  in photoshop too, which has also been grating on me for god knows how long. Double thanks Khris!

Oh, thank you it works! Ahaha, I'm almost in tears-  that' been driving me mad! Ahahah, so relieved!

Okay so I'm loving a lot of the new editor features, bar one.

Now when I move buttons about the UI, these yellow lines appear and it like, automatically shifts my placement depending on where I put other buttons.

If anyone knows a way to turn this 'auto shift' function off altogether I'd really appreciate it, the feature is basically driving me nuts everytime I mess with UI's. Which is a lot.

Thanks:D

Guys, that was awesome! Enjoyed every minute of it, and am most certainly looking forward to the next Podquest!

Ooh, nice topic Ilyich! I'd love do some kind of Neo-Voodoo shop or something...Or an Atomic Age Milk Bar...

Congrats WHAM, well deserved indeed. Also, thanks for linking to your aquatic nemesis:)

@ Sughly - Gah, there's just so many robots to make and so little time!

@Dualnames - Gah! I am working, sorta. Thinking about working is working right?

@ ptpt88 - No worries:)

And the winner is *drum roll* jon_swe

This was bloody difficult to call as I really felt you guys both made great pieces. I thought they were both quite cohesive and interesting, each evoking a truly horrific atmosphere. Mouth of war's entry had a surreal and eldritch quality which I really dig, jon_swe's building crescendo's and grand scale also very appealing.

Great work guys:D

jon_swe - the ball is in your court now;)

Yeah totally sweet palette Ilyich, I love your melange of retro-futurism too. Awesome.
