Perhaps the reason "t[]s vertical size gets wider than it should be" is because the dimensions of the picture are 314X215. I don't know if AGS would stretch the picture to make it fit, but perhaps this is the case?

That's what I assumed was up, hence why I asked for a sample :)

I would like to point out that I LEGALLY OWN THIS CD, it's just scratched to buggery. I'm simply after an audio track! Can any one help me, pretty pretty please?

Also, it's a proper red-book audio track, the kind you can stick in in your Hi-Fi (obviously skipping the first screechy data track). So I'm after anyone kind enough to have it and rip it to a suitable format (ie mp3).
It's not for a game, it's for my own personel enjoyment. As sad as it seems, that track directly influenced my musical tastes........and it's only about 1:14 long.

I like it. The only extra thing I can say that no one else has said is this:

Where is the lighthouses shadow? :)
Also, the railing not being straight is an off-putter! I really like the style though, very 'vector'.

The guy walks to slow.
Especially considering he saw a scientist jump off a cliff, an alien mutilate a guard.......

Infact, he never actually reacts to those situations...

What program are you using to make them?
Could you upload a sample background for us? One that you KNOW dosn't work?

Anybody? :(

have you tried it in windowed mode?

My monitor dosn't support 300x200, but suports 320x240. If it's in 300x200 it goes all funny and misses the bottom and left hand side off. (strangley, SQ1 and so on work fine!)

You need to look at the map of the building first.

What function is called when the gui rolls down?

He has no bottom, which is odd, considering he's a bit podgy. Would the collar bone be visible on someone of that size?
His legs in the front view are straight, and show no sign of having knees. Remember: all animals have knees, ever elephants, dispite what some drunk Irish guy thinks.

If they can manage it with Kings Quest 1 and 2, then you sure as hell can!

I fucking love you Darth Mandarb!

I've been after that for ages!

I can't read the text :(

Cheers. I've completed it now lookin at each different ending.

The game itself is ok. The background art is very nice, however the styles of the characters don't match the style of the backgrounds.

Also, the plot, I thought, was really bad. A lot of the time it made no sense and seemed like it was made up as you were going a long. The ego seemed to know more than he should or less than he should at times, his knowledge wasn't consistent. Why would an electrical engineer in the army need to read a board before tampering with a circuit box ? Why? He's in the army. In an army base. Cutting a few wires is reversable, and remember: It's an army base, it's designed to carry on running when things break. One moment the character hates the general, the next he's hating aliens and the thing about the nazis.....don't get me started on that! You could have chose something more credible? Why didn't the invade disgused as humans the first time around but not the second time? Why was that character made the commander of the army? It makes no sense!

This was the major let down of the game I think. Let's hope the game with the cave background has a good, logical, plot with decent character scripting.

I'm in the same boat.
I have a coin, the hand gun, a memo, tape, a cup of coffee, knife and a grenade. Now what ? :/

Quote"After Thors death the hammer was returned to the temple of meridia by thors sons. Where it still resides today this is why when the thunder plain calls to Miolnir the earth tremble beneath your feet . Thors belt and glove have not been found at this time but it is thought that they may be hidden in the temple somewhere."

Arf. Thor died? Dosn't that mean ragnorok has Happened?

I still think that the “best” type of verb interface was the parser used in the 80s Infocom games. If you came across a rose in a modern point-n-click game, all you can do is click the USE icon on it. You don't know what the result is going to be. Your avatar might pick up the rose, touch the rose, take a petal off the rose, or even crush the rose to death. The text games were more versatile. If you wanted to pick up a rose, you'd type “GET ROSE.” If you wanted to smell a rose, you'd type SMELL ROSE. There were some downsides to this kind of interface, as well, if only because since the player can do anything, they WILL do anything. It's impossible to program every conveivable response to every action attempted within the game. It's been awhile since I wrote text adventures, but I remember creating new verbs to be very simple. Larry 7 merged the two interfaces pretty well, although it was kind of awkward.

I've always felt a verbicon/Lure of the tempress style interface to be a perfect combination of both. Right click on a rose and you could (possibly, depending upon the programmer) get options of smelling, picking, crushing etc.

How often does a person look at the sun?
Not very often, it probably won't be necassary to put it in the image.

Also, if those ARE the clouds, you're missing a horizon. Good wrok so far, looks really nice.

Does the rest of the game in any way relate to Germanic myths?

Also: the tales of the god's changed from place to place and it's not like they're real in the first place, so just call the damn thing "Thor's Hammer" and draw a really huge battle-hammer.

What information does the hero have to know exactly? What information are you after? If all else fails, wikipeida it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mjollnir
