Ooh! AGS Confessions time!

I learned the phrase "put that coffee down. Coffee is for closers" from Larry Vales before I heard it in the movie Glengarry Glen Ross.

I also confused Ben Chandler for Ben Ward for about a year and a half.

I regret nothing. 

Interesting... I'll print it out and give it a try once I get home to my easy chair and have a little free time to don my smoking jacket and slippers. My brain needs a good workout after the general slothfulness of the holidays.

But the AGS Voting Academy loves that art house stuff. Those snooty old people who run our awards show don't care for the sensibilities of a blue collar guy like me. They only care about rich, privileged indie darlings like Ben304, Cat, and Ryan Timothy. Damn you trust fund kids! You can't keep us working class stiffs out of your elite inner circle forever! Occupy AGS!!

Let's make a new award for games with the most sexual references, or a game that's the biggest tease.

EDIT: On second thought, I'll just lose to Ben304 and his gratuitous lesbian love scenes. Sigh. It's never going to be my year.

I resolve to win an AGS Award this year. I've been making AGS games for ten years and I just know that 2013 will be my year. 

I also resolve not to cry when I go home empty-handed... again. 

I've dreamed about coding before, but never in anything approaching a useful way. My hat's off to you, sir!

Sweet biscuits, is it time for another AGS Awards already? Why, it seems like just yesterday that my heart was broken and I was once again sent home trophy-less and drenched in my own tears. Goodness, how time flies.

What began as a MAGS game became my first "visual novel", in which we watch loveable and scandal-prone Mayor DuChamp try to outwit the new head of her Advisory Council as he attempts to oust her from office after she accidentally killed the previous head of the Council during a kinky tryst that went tragically awry -- always remember the safe word, kids!

I'm not sure anyone has made a visual novel with AGS before, so I'm submitting it for Best Non-Adventure Game, Best Short Game, Best Character Art (have you seen her in that sheer dress? Or sitting by the pool? Or riding the Chief of Police around like a pony? Yowza!), Best Character: Mayor DuChamp, and Best Music (another very sexy track from the very sexy Dualnames).

Are you sad because it's almost 2013 and you haven't gotten your BlueCup Tools Podcast fix in months? 

Why, it's like you're right inside my head! 

Well fear not!

I'll try. But this long without a podcast has left me psychologically scarred and unable to trust or form meaningful relationships with people.

Ok, so there's no new episode, but something is better than nothing, right?

I'm a bit unclear. Is this reason to go on living or not? I need guidance in this matter.

Hmmm... This might be just the small scrap of hope I need to face another year in this cold, uncaring, podcastless world. We'll see...
