Looks like one of those 70s hippie softcore porno musicals based on children's stories that are safely in the public domain.

Not that I would know anything about that sort of thing. :=

Be careful with RAM Ghost, Frodo. It ate up all of Kim's free time for several afternoons.  ;)

Also, we have sailed past the $2000 dollar mark. 564 bundles sold so far. Special tip of the chef's hat goes to Mr. Romain R. of Switzerland, who donated 85 dollars, breaking the previous record of $75. \o/

Going on day three now. Theme song still stuck in my head. Okay. That's enough please. Somebody make it stop.  ;)

I noticed @CPCharity (Child's Play) hasn't said anything on Twitter or Google+. They usually do. Do they know about it?

They do indeed know about it. They've known about it all week. The guy who runs the event calender assures me it will be up soon.  ::)  Hopefully before the bake sale is over.  ;)

"AGS Leather Pants Spectacular"

"Two Weeks, One Cup" (which only works if the sale lasts for two weeks)

"Peder Needs Booze!!"

Feel free to offer your own suggestions.  8)

Thanks for this, Rick. Like most of the people here, I'm the "computer guy" for my friends and their aged parents (<-- Them, most of all).

"Why does my 486 run so slow? It didn't do that when I bought it back in '96. Can you fix it? While I tell you about my grandkids and other people you've never met."

Time well spent. That's what that is!  ;)

Tzachs,

Do you have any plans for a "perfect walkthrough" ? I played it through again and I still can't hit 100 points. (Clearly, I suck)  :-[

I like this game quite a bit. Will there be further adventures with Abner? Surely there are more taverns in need of a boastful tale or two.   :=

I realize that a fundraiser aimed at this community would probably draw zero attention from the outside world, but there's no reason we couldn't raise a decent amount of money (a few hundred bucks, at least) from within our ranks.

It wouldn't have to be "AGS Bake Sale II: This One Is For Greece", but why couldn't we have AGS Bake Sale 1.5? Maybe bring in the other bakers who weren't able to finish their games in time. Then we shovel the money at Peder so he can buy cocaine and prostitutes bandwidth and prostitutes.

Just a thought.  8)

I Tweeted Notch about it, just in case.  He might not even see my message, but if he does, and decides to retweet, that's a guaranteed couple of purchases or more :)  If anyone else fancies Tweeting him, too, he'd be more likely to take notice it.

Cool. Thanks, Stupot +++. I award you two extra plus signs for awesomeness.  8)

Everybody else is doing it, so why the heck shouldn't I? Presenting my game for the AGS Bake Sale:

BARN RUNNER
The Rich Dame Who Cut The Cheese
One of these ladies is hiding something. Time for a pat down!

An antique wheel of priceless, pre-apocalypse, real moo cow cheese has gone missing and it's up to Detective Prick Peckard to find it! Along the way, he'll encounter stuffed shirts, plunging necklines, co-workers in fancy dresses, corrupt politicians, exotic Spanish accents, uncomfortable encounters in the mens's room, abandoned underwear, an AGS forum member masquerading as a lounge singer, gigantic TVs, cartoonishly over-sized breasts, crisp white linen, reflecting mirrors, overpriced cocktails, abundant whipped cream, and looping rooms!

All this and Oceanspirit Dennis too!

Good gravy, people! What on earth are you waiting for! Act now before it's too late!  :o

Get your copy at the AGS Bake Sale (while supplies last) FREE CHEESE FOR EVERYONE!

Is there any end date? I think I will be able to donate on Wednesday.  :-\

The bake sale runs all the way through the end of February. Plenty of time.  :)

I second Ghost's praise. The look of this game is very cool. I particularly like the cloud. Very stylized and eye-catching. Nicely done, Miguel.

That Ben Chandler song has been stuck in my head since yesterday. I think it may lodged in there forever.

Also, we've raised another 350 dollars since lunchtime.  :D

To be fair, we wanted to buy a new server for CJ. We were shocked to learn that he didn't want one. So Child's Play seemed like a good compromise. Maybe next time, we can host one here in the forums to raise money for Peder and the archives that so many of us use. But at the time, Child's Play was the one thing we could all get behind when CJ spurned our love.  ;)

Also, I've read some of the comments out there on the webs about us and how either this charity is stupid/overused or how they just know we're not really giving all the money to the kids, and all that crap. What can I say? It's easier to hate on something than it is to actually do something. And we're doing a surprisingly good job of raising money with this -- much better than we expected to, honestly.

When the next bake sale happens (and it will. I know Calin Leafshade was talking about doing something similar down the road), then maybe we as a community can vote on what we want to raise the money for. But this time around, when CJ dropped the bomb on us, it was a mad scramble behind the scenes to get our kitchen back in order, let me tell you.

Heck, I know Peder has something special planned for this summer. Maybe a few of us in these forums could bake up a little something for him and his super-duper secret event. Now that we AGSers have seen what we're capable of as a community, I don't see why we can't use our superpowers for good.  8)

I'd love to enter, but it says I need a Google account to publish a comment. Boo! Unfair!  ;)
