Thanks once again for being the official awards wrangler, Cat Kastchey and Snarky!

For Your Consideration:
Barn Runner: Pucker Factor

What began life as a MAGS game back in March crawled into a covid-related cocoon and emerged several months later as a full-fledged game that's part dialog-driven relationship / dating simulation, part top-down arcade scroller, part hidden object game, part QTE button masher, and part welding mini-game. It's got everything a game needs -- except an AGS Award. And that's where you come in!

Please consider my game for the following categories:
Best Non Adventure Game Created With AGS (I'm pinning all my hopes and dreams on this one!  := )
Best Short Game
Best Writing
Best Character (Noriko)
Best Puzzles (there are so many to choose from!)
Best Character Art (lots of cheesecake (and beefcake, it that's your thing))  :=

Here are some tasty screenshots to woo you!

Gratuitous Blue Cup Appearance

Gratuitous Gams

Gratuitous Fireballs

Gratuitous Mazes (everyone loves mazes!)

Barn Runner: Pucker Factor

p.s. If my game gets nominated for an award (I don't even have to win! I'm incredibly easy to please!) I'll make an "AGS Awards" version with even more puzzles and jokes. It's all up to you, AGS Community! And don't forget, I love you!  :cheesy:

CaptainD, that looks really cool.

PlayPretend, don't give up. That sounds like a cool concept. Who cares if the puzzles are mostly variations on a theme. It's MAGS, after all There is a rich history of "I had this one neat idea for a game and this is what I came up with."  :=

Also, pencil me in as a possible entry. I have an idea, but I don't know if I'll have time to develop it properly.
Spoiler
It would involve some cheesecake shots of women in bikinis, so I hope that will motivate me enough to see it through.  (laugh)

I used to watch MASH all the time back in the day. Downloading the demo now.

If you make these assets public, are you prepared for the deluge of AfterMASH games?  :=

Hey, you need to take a closer look: My avatar is weraing a mask (incorrectly, in front of her mouth - but she's looking into her hand-mirror just getting ready to go out, so that's accaptable)!  (laugh) (laugh) (laugh)
You're probably one of those people who wear their mask pulled down under their nose so it's easier to breathe. You're not fooling me, Sinitrena! From now on, I plan to stay at least six posts away from you for the sake of my own health!

Moo!

Tonight I'm listening to a playlist of Christmas songs. I have forty or so songs in the list, and I break it out every year. The song playing right now is TVTV$ "Daddy Drank All Our Christmas Money."

The previous ones were:
Reverend Horton Heat's "We Three Kings"
George Thorogood "Rock & Roll Christmas"
El Vez "Feliz Navidad"
Bootsy Collins "Merry Christmas, Baby"
Weird Al "Christmas at Ground Zero"

It's that time of year, I guess.  :cheesy:

I bought it last week and I hope to be able to play it in another day or two. Glad to hear that I chose my Xmas purchase wisely. Thanks for the review!

Good stories from both authors! While nearly evenly matched in quality if not word count, I would like to vote for Sinitrena and her festive santa hat, but in this time of the coof, I have to cast my vote for WHAM and his sensible, mask-wearing sensibilities.

I have an inkling of an idea... We'll see if anything develops.

Exactly! Providing evidence would only weaken your case!  :=

I would have liked to have seen your votes and to have heard your opinions of the stories as well, but your jokes after the fact are also appreciated.
Two things in my defense:
1) I came here to vote as soon as I saw your thread in the other sub-forum, but the deadline had already passed.
3) I am incredibly lazy and don't check the forums, spellcheck, or wash my laundry nearly as often as I should.   :=

Is it too late to vote? How do I know this election wasn't rigged? Is a legal case pending?

Just finished watching the cyberpunk classic Bubblegum Crisis. Currently two episodes into Azumanga Daioh.

Marcin K: Good choice! SAC is fantastic.

First clue: The movie in question came out a year earlier than a movie called Romy and Michele's High School Reunion.
But due to PTSD after seeing Romy and Michele, I've blocked out everything that happened before that terrible day... even my own childhood.

1996 movie, eh? Is it Beavis and Butthead Do America? Ghost in the Shell? I hear the kids are really into that animu thing these days.
