Romy and Michele's high school reunion? (I'll admit I haven't seen it in years, but I recall it was terribly painful to sit through, like a needle in the neck filled with chick flick).  :=

Highlander 2? Blade Runner 2049? The Corpse Bride? Son of the Mask? This one is driving me crazy!  :P

My suggestion for October (even if it's not appropriately spooky):

Bartolomeo, misled by circumstances, learns that appearances can be deceptive.
Pleasantly simple art, nice jokes, and a well-realized little world, all made in the span of two weeks. I'd write more, but the title ate most of my character limit.

Limey Lizard, of course!

I was sold as soon as I read the title of this game.  :cheesy:

I was double-sold when I saw the art style. Well worth the $2.

Swap the Pink Floyd poster for an Iron Maiden one and you'd have my room when I was in high school.  :cheesy:

RIP ProgZ. He and I used to talk politics and stuff. He was very supportive of my early game efforts in his own positive yet somehow grumpy way. He made some great games and the forums weren't quite the same since he wandered off to the non-AGS parts of the web. He'll be missed.

This is definitely my favourite corner of the Internet.
Truly, this is the coziest place on the interwebs.  (nod)

You think that's upsetting? Try being mentally unable to refrain from reading every single forum reply in the imagined voices of every single forum avatar!  8-0
Dude, I know EXACTLY what your avatar sounds like!  :=

Sometimes real life just gets in the way our online lives. After being a constant presence on these forums for years, I drifted away for a long time. Recently, I have returned and was thrilled to find that this blue corner of the interwebs just as nice as I remember it being. Trolls are rare on these boards and I've always found the tone here to be quite polite if just a little bit chilly to newbies. Many of the old forums I use to haunt are dead or on life support, but this place is still standing and nicely populated. That makes me happy.

As for grievances, I hate candy sprinkles. Don't like them on cakes. Hate them on donuts. I was in Iceland when I turned 21 (the last good birthday for Americans) and what should have been a perfect, brightly-lit in late evening sort of day was marred by the birthday cake my sergeant made for me. It had tiny candy sprinkles on it. I smiled and thanked her. I got drunk with my team as tradition requires, but inside I wept chalky-sweet, brightly colored tears. There. I've finally got that off my chest after carrying around the pain for nearly 27 years. I feel so much better now. Thanks, AGS Forums, for giving me a chance to finally grieve.

I just noticed my new game made the cut. I ran (well, walked quickly, I am getting older) to this thread to see who had suggested it. Thanks Lorenzo and Creamy. You put a smile on a tired teacher's face.

I feel that point-and-click adventure games are especially useful in classes like mine (English as a second language) because I mostly control the game based on the students having to express what actions they want to try in English like "Put the hook on the rod." etc.

Very good for making them form sentences with verbs and nouns especially.
A lot of my students struggle with English. I may try something like this later in the year. i wonder if 7th graders are ready for Oceanspirit Dennis?

Congrats Ponch!  Awesome entry in an awesome franchise!

Oh, and my bad on not testing the RC...
I blame you for any bugs or typos.   :=

Outland
Basically "High Noon" in space, it's a mostly forgotten Sean Connery movie with a great design, good performances (except for one kid actor), and a grimy, claustrophobic world that still feels like a very plausible future to me, all these years later. It really shouldn't work as well as it does, and it's one of the best examples of the "used future" look alongside Blade Runner, if you ask me.

Also, Repo Man. I can't explain why that movies hits all the right chords for me.

Lastly Tremors is awesome. Tremors 2 is also very, very fun. (Avoid CHUD 2 at all costs, however)
