I think I found a bug:

There are no bugs in OSD games. Only challenging and unexpected features!

Also, nice game. What's next for OSD? I can only assume it will be some sort of collectible card game. Or possibly paper dolls of some sort. ;)

I feel I'm acting like a total fanboy, so I'm gonna settle down for a bit.  ;)

No. Don't do that. Do just the opposite of that! I need all the adoration I can get!!!

Dual: Hey, man. It's not up to me. The people (and the magic eight ball) have spoken!

Gilbet: Now that you mention it, that would have made a much better trophy.

Stu: Congrats on your win. Enjoy your pen. Looking forward to whatever contest you come up with.

And the polls are closed!

We had eight entries, five votes, and two people who thought they could vote twice. ;)

And first place goes to Tenacious Stu!

There was a tie for second place, so I had to consult my magic eight ball. Taking the entries in the order they were posted, I asked the round, plastic repository of knowledge "Does Ben304 take second place?" The answer was "Very Doubtful."

I'm sorry, Ben, but that means that Atelier takes the runner up spot. (Don't blame me! Blame my cherished childhood toy!)

So that means that Ben304 comes in third.

And the "Miss Congeniality" crayons go to kconan, dualnames, monkey 05 06, legendary (who apparently joined the forums just to post his story. Thanks!), and bush monkey. Better luck next time, guys! :D

And so, as this magical holiday season draws to a close, I turn the next competition over to Tenacious Stu. Take it away, you magnificently tenacious fellow!

Competition is now over. Let the voting begin!

Just a little over a day left. If anyone has something they're working on, you'd better hurry. Time's almost up!
#4287
Great work, everyone. One week down. One week to go. There's still time for more entries. I have enough crayons for everyone!  :=

I'd just like to say I'm working on something.

I'd like to, but I can't. Because I'm not.
That's the wrong answer, dude! There's still plenty of time. Now summon up some Christmas spirit and start writing!

Do it for Santa!!!1! ;)

Am I the only one who thinks this thing is certain to sweep the AGS awards next year? ;)
#4290
I like how this thread is shaping up! More entries! Santa won't be here for a few more days! There's still time! (Overused exclamation points!)

So you might have gotten an invitation to the White House for dinner, light conversation, and some punching the President in the face.

Best. President. EVER.

Also, thanks Tzachs! The best part is, I got it just in time for Christmas! Now I can hang little decorations in it. Maybe put up a small string of lights...

EDIT: And also this...

Vroom vroom!

Great! 24 hours in and we already have two awesome entries. Now let's get a few more!  :D
#4293
This sounds very cool. I hope you finish it. Plus, it will be great to have a new RON game!

Barricus: Teddy Roosevelt was the most manly man in the history of manliness. My chest got a little hairier just reading your post.

Technocrat: Jenny 7? That sounds very "Logan's Run", which is to say that it sounds amazingly awesome.

Gabriel_Down: What's wrong with Asians using western names? I've known a bunch that have done it. It certainly didn't hurt Jackie Chan, right? (And I think it was an Australian that gave him that name. Probably Ben006 or one of the earlier models, I suspect). And when I was in Japan, everyone called me by my nickname almost exclusively. I never had a problem with it. (And besides, most of them mispronounced my real name anyway).

Hey, stop making excuses to get off the pc and not work on Barn Runner! Get back to work Scott! :P

That's Racing Cow to you, buddy! And I don't have time to work on my game. I'm at work, damn it. I only have time to post on the internet! ;)

And thanks, Technocrat, for empowering me. When my kids come back from gym class, I'm going to make them all call me Mr. Racing Cow. They are small children, so I expect they'll have no problems with this at all.

Also, why don't you just name them after superhero secret identities. Bruce. Clark. Logan. And throw in some Star Wars names too. Lando Kim has a hell of a nice ring to it, don't you think?

a five year old called "Racing Car". I wasn't going to argue with that one, it's an awesome name.

Damn it! Why didn't my parents name me "Racing Car"!?! Instead I have to go through life being called Scott by everyone. I'm going to write mom a very angry letter tonight!

Hahaha  ;D  Fun idea, and I love the santa hat mod!

Thanks! I'm either being very clever... or very lazy. ;)

The challenge this time is to write a few paragraphs that feature Santa Claus appearing where you least expect him. You see, Santa's been living a secret life, and it's up to you to expose him. It could be anything you like. Perhaps the police raid a crack house and find Father Christmas sleeping it off in the corner. Or you come home to find your wife cheating on you... With Kris Kringle! Or maybe a French cargo ship is boarded by a group of Somali pirates... led by a jolly fat man with an AK-47! Or maybe it's all just an innocent misunderstanding!

WHY did Santa get mixed up in this scandal?
HOW long has he been living this double life??
WHAT happens next?!?

I don't know! You tell me!

All entries must be in by December 28, 2010. (Atelier, I'm looking at you!) Winner will be determined by vote. Ties will be decided by my Magic 8 Ball (tremble before its power!).

Now get to writing! I love Santa and I'm hoping for a big turnout for this! Don't let me down at this, the most wonderful time of year, AGS forums!  :-*

(p.s. Don't tell kconan that I'm re-gifting his pens. It'll be our secret, okay?)

I won?!?  :o  Awesome!

Thanks kconan, for a cool theme and for allowing Atelier to squeeze in under the wire. (Damn, I wanted that crayon! But I'm very happy with my pirate pen.). And thanks for the votes, guys!

Give me a few hours to come up with theme for the next one. I should have something up tonight.

When my thoughts turn to IceyGames, my brain just sort of locks up. ;)

And for the OSD entry, I'd have to go with Tzachs' Ray of Hope.

Best voice acting in any AGS game ever!!!! :D

Also, I'd nominate Hard Space for "Tightest pants worn by a hero in any AGS game ever."  :=
