My twin sister had one of those things (I remember it looking like the second one you posted). As I recall, it made decent brownies.

Vince, that is truly how a MAN eats ramen. Thank you for showing us the way. :D

Thanks everyone!  :D

ProgZ: Thanks for the suggestions. But if I put keyboard shortcuts in the game, then at the harder difficulty levels it would barely be funstrating at all! (And at the hidden "Hard Ass" difficulty level, it would just suck all the funstration out of the whole game!)

Bici: Thanks. Glad to know that my boobs are appreciated! (Take that, Ryan Timothy! ;) )

Dual: OMG large font! I wish I knew how to do that! I would post every reply in super big font. It would make my posts look as important as they truly are. Now that I've released a new game and the "How do we get Dual back to the AGS blog" poll is done, have we done enough to entice you back to blogging? The AGS community needs all the bloggin' it can get!

Dan: Thanks! Hope it doesn't disappoint.

Frodo: I couldn't have done it without you. I should have mentioned in the original post the Frodo was my playtester on this one. But I had to create the game page and write this post on my lunch break, which is only 30 minutes. So I left out that little detail. Sorry. Thanks for all your help!

Holy crap, a new Barn Runner game!  :o

It began as a Pixelween entry and it became something resembling an actual game!
Barn Runner Halloween 1: Fully Automatic Mojo

Blast your way through hordes of flesh hungry CHUDs through eight levels of arcade action. Drive, shoot, crawl, and saunter your way to victory in this, the latest and possibly most unexpected Barn Runner game of all time! (It's a Halloween game for Christmas! It's needlessly iconoclastic!)

* A new player character (Debbie)
* Three difficulty levels (at least!)
* Four different endings (at least!)
* Eight levels of (presumed) awesomeness!

4.5 Megabytes (RAR Format) [50 Megabytes unpacked]

Enjoy! (IF YOU CAN!!!!) [Dramatic music]

The poll didn't work. But Dualnames is sure to see this thread. He can't resist a Barn Runner game! Get ready to spring the trap! We'll get him back to the blog for sure this time!

Considering half the emails Ponch receives are about Dr. Noriko, I find it strange she has not been mentioned yet. :=

Dr. Noriko you say?

What a coincidence! I just happen to have a cheesecake shot of her laying around my server. What luck!

Hat parties every Friday.

Can we invite Dualnames to the party? He looks so lonely in his part of town. Like a hobo or some crazy guy living out of a shopping cart.

Puts me over near Progz.

Welcome to the cool quadrangle, Rick. We're the exclusive, upscale, hippie-free, gated community in AGSville. Enjoy your stay. Limpingfish should be along with your "Welcome to the neighborhood" fruit basket and a complimentary bald hamster. (Be sure to keep the little guy warm!)

We have a winner!

The strange thing is Ray is all the way over in the corner of the red square. The only way their love survives is that they learned to never discuss politics. ;)

I kick babies in the balls. Also damnit, you removed me Ponch, I demand justice and justin!!

I apologize, Comrade. I was too busy saving this community from all the hippies. Accidents happen in war time! It's fixed now. But don't think I'm not keeping my eye on you and your other comrades over there in the red square. And don't try sneaking across the border to the blue square where life is clearly much better. Atelier is my first line of defense against commies like you. And don't think I'm not prepared to spend his life cheaply to preserve the freedom of everyone else in the blue square! (Which is only myself, but that's beside the point!)

I got my eye on you!!! ;)

Damn Ponch, I never knew you were so...forceful.

You're damn right I am, son! I am a former sergeant in the U.S. military! I have seen combat, son! I have seen things that would send you cryin' home to your momma! Now drop and give me twenty!

Also, Calin, I am now a school teacher. So I kick children in the face every day. And they thank me for the privilege! Now you drop and give me twenty!

I'm sticking out like a sore thumb up there.

Boom! Reinforcements have arrived!

Also, I'd like to point out that the AGS community is full of damn dirty hippies. Get a haircut and get a job you hippies!

Edit: Because ProgZ told me to :P

I don't know anything about the comic but so far I like the show. It's a little slow paced, but I think that kind of fits the survival horror angle. Hopefully the show will only get better.

I think it goes without saying that this is the best game Icey has ever made. I played it all the way through and it got a couple of laughs out of me. Truly a worthy entry into the OSDverse.

Good job, Icey. :)

(Also, cow mode was awesome!)
#4337
Cool! Now I have access to all those great sound files. New ringtone to embarrass my girlfriend, here I come!
#4338
Butchered? Man, that background was seamless!  8)

As for the OSDverse having no inconsistencies, this is technically correct. The best kind of correct.

UPDATE: I'm also getting the 403 errors. Can't get either the game or the source code. :(

Dennis moves really fast. And it was a long fight. And there's parallel universes.

Ah! So a wizard did it. As a longtime fan of both anime and the Star Wars expanded universe, I am prepared to accept this and retract my earlier criticism. I now give this game the greatest score possible: 4 and 1/2 stars out of five.

Best. OSD. Game. Ever.

After an obsessive night spent playing all the OSD games, I have a question for Mr. Tzachs...

At the end of SOTU-DX, Ray goes off to play Snakes of Avalon. And Mighty Pirate shows us that OSD goes off to star in an adventure game to win back Ray's heart.

But in your Ray of Hope, we clearly see Dennis just standing there after Ray says he's off to play Snakes of Avalon. Shouldn't Dennis depart to go star in Mighty Pirate? Also, somehow Dennis has already left Ray a note telling him he's off on his "adventurings" as seen in Pirates on the Poopdeck -- a game that takes place AFTER Mighty Pirate.

And then Ray must fight the purple blob Dennis just defeated.
Spoiler
But this time he is joined by two green blobs! Green, Mr. Tzachs? This seems to me like a crass attempt to sell more OSD Action Figures. As though taking the already existing Purple Blob and just repainting it to be Green Variant makes it an entirely new toy!
[close]
This just makes the whole thing seem like a greedy attempt to con kids (and overweight, middle aged nerds) out of their allowance money.

Also, once Ray has won this battle, why isn't the "Deviant Art Style" curse lifted? Why doesn't Ray return to his pimp-tastic look? Are you saving this for the sequel? Or perhaps the Director's Cut DVD? Another crass grab for cash! I assure you, Mr. Tzachs, I will buy no more than two or three copies of each, such is my distaste at this endeavor.

Lastly,
Spoiler
after Ray confronts Square Penis, he is told that Dennis is frolicking with Jessica, the Mayor's daughter. Is there a time machine involved, sir? (Although Dennis has time traveled before in OSD: The RPG -- no mention of which was made in you story, by the way. Is this some clumsy attempt to retcon Discordance's game out of the OSDverse?).
[close]
What about the events of Mighty Pirate? What about Pirates on the Poopdeck? Are we supposed to believe that these stories now take place in a pocket dimension? And what about those who played Blades of Passion and chose not to frolic with Jessica (as I did. I respect women far too much to ever have sex casually with them. I'm saving myself for Batgirl, thank you very much). Is Ray being lied to?

Clearly, you expect us to ignore these inconsistencies. Or else, Doctor Who and his amazing TARDIS are involved somehow. (Which, it should go without saying, I hope he is. Now there is a crossover I would pay good money for! But only if it stars Chris Eccleston, the ninth Doctor. BEST. DOCTOR. EVAR.)

In closing sir, I must rate your effort a mere 4 1/2 stars out of five. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go to Toys R Us and grab as many of limited edition Green Blob toys as I can.

Yours,

An OSD fan
