I see her logged into Steam every now and then. I don't know why she doesn't visit the forums anymore.

And now for a double post!!
Got a chance to play through to the end of 2034ac, had a bunch of good laughs! But not only was it funny, I now feel more cautious about the future... In general  ??? I just hope global warming doesn't mess with our 12 months of winter in real life! 8-0

If I were Canadian (which, tragically, I'm not), I would be afraid that global warming would make all my bags of milk swell and pop in the heat. :=

QuoteI found one billboard especially appealing  ;-D I hope the subliminal messaging works  (laugh)
This one?

No subliminal advertising needed. Everybody in Canada loves Ryan Timoothy. He's the darling of talk radio up there.

Are you saying I'm not good enough for you, Ponch? :~(
You've never played a Barn Runner game. I think you know the answer. ;)

1)  Browse forums instead of working (it's the American way)
2)  See a new update from Grumpislav in the CupCast thread
3)  Become uncontrollably excited
4)  Run out of the workplace screaming "I have to go home! My cat is on fire!!"
5)  Drive home at top speed, honking horn, swerving wildly, ignoring all stoplights and yield signs.
6)  Slide into driveway, leave the engine running and the door open, no time to waste!
7)  Enter house through broken window (house keys are still dangling in the ignition of the car)
8)  Sprint through house, knocking over furniture and leaving bits of glass from broken kitchen window in my wake.
9)  Fire up computer. Click this thread to download the new CupCast...
10) Horrible, unspeakable disappointment.

Ponch: While I think it would be an honour to be executed next to Baron and Frodo, my contribution was fairly insignificant and probably not worthy of a bullet...  :~(
Problem solved. Game database entry updated accordingly. With any luck, the Mounties will soon bring you in for the justice you so richly deserve. :=

Exactly, Baron! Doesn't everybody's keyboard look like that? How the heck are you guys playing this game without the proper set of Stargate symbols?

Mite: I didn't list you as a playtester because you only tested that one tiny bit for me. But in light of this new information, I may pin all of the blame for this on you give you the credit you deserve.

Kconan: Hush! :=

Wow. That's weird. I didn't know the game would do that. I must have plugged in the wrong keycodes when I put it together. It was the first L/R click game I ever made so apparently, there are some bugs.

If you want to save/load, press the F5 key. I apologize for the mishap. I shall have my playtesters shot at once. :=

Wow! Thanks, Mandle! :cheesy:

Since the original MAGS game, I had been wanting to properly explore that world and the Bake Sale was finally the opportunity I had been looking for. I'm glad you liked the expanded world of 2034.

I live in Texas. I'm practically exiled from the rest of America already.

Go to bed, Baron. You're drunk from another Canada Day filled with too many beers and felonies. (wrong)
#933
Canada Day is a lot like Independence Day here in the States, but with beavers instead of fireworks. Also, moose rides are free and all crimes no matter how heinous are reduced to misdemeanors in honor of Canada's otherwise year-round politeness. It's a wonderful, dangerous holiday that we're all grateful only comes once a year.

I was actually planning on releasing this game on Sunday, but when I saw it was Canada Day, I posted it a few days early. It seemed the appropriate thing to do, eh?
#935
Thanks, guys. Glad you liked it.  :cheesy:

Excellent! I shall begin work on my game tonight! :=

From The Frozen Wastes To The North Comes...
2034 A.C. (After Canada) II

The adventures of Paige Rowsdower, Royal Canadian Mountie, continue in this second installment of the AGS Award Nominated game series. Thrill to remarkably polite excitement as Paige and her fellow mounties maintain law and order in a world gone to heck. You'll never find an apocalypse so well-behaved!

Car chases! Errant snowballs! Donuts! Recycling! Syrup Stains! Mutants! Assless chaps! Hobos! Goldfish! This game has it all, buddy!

Thanks to Akumayo, Anian, Baron, Ben304, Doc Savage, Frodo, Ghost, HandsFree, Intense Degree, Kconan, SSH, Strazer, SupSuper, and Tzachs for all their help!

Note: This game was originally part of the AGS Bake Sale 2. Thanks to everyone who supported our fundraiser to keep the AGS server going for another couple of years.

Rated Princess Marian's Pigeon Pinger. :cheesy:

Sadly, my own unrated game on the list remains tragically unrated. :sealed:

Thanks for the "Fridge Follies" plug, guys! :cheesy:

Thanks, Mandle! The Sauerkraut was a lot of fun to write. I wish we'd had more time to put some of the other foods in the fridge, but since it's MAGS, we had to leave a lot of them on the cutting room floor. The only "non-essential" character who didn't get edited out was the hot sauce, because I loved him too much to toss him out.
