I bring you the epic of a princess who is driven by revenge and a dragon that plays to many video games.

It even has a title screen so you can tell when it loops.

and yes, I was drinking when I made this.....so what?  ;D

Was the file you sent to the printers 72 or 300 Dpi?Ã,  300 dpi is needed for a professional looking print.Ã,  Did you ask what file type your printers prefer?

I also like the bright green and blue of the original better than the edit. The original colors give a 1960s pop art or op art feel to it that I think works well with the image.

idea: 1
I like this idea best out of the two,Ã,  but i also think it sounds more like a first person shooter or even a squad based strategy game.Ã,  It could be interesting to see how a story like that would work in a point & click adventure game.

Wait a second, didn't jean grey become the pheonix during a space shuttle accident that involved energy rays?Ã,  Is this game about the pheonix force from the marvel universe?Ã,  If it is not, you might want to change the origin story or the name of the character to avoid confusion.Ã,  also cosmic rays has been used so many times during the "silver age" of comics that it could make a story seem a lot less modern and edgy.Ã,  Of coarse if you want the game to have a retro look and feel then it would be perfect and could be really cool.Ã,

Deja vu?

Is it just me?

um....are you talking about when I posted the original version of this character almost a year ago?Ã,  The character was 2D back then and is now 3D, also a lot of other changes have been made. so I thought it would be a good time for a new critique.Ã,

Thanks for the comments, I will reevaluate the boots and arms proportions.  Originally the character wore almost all her clothes a larger size, but that is more difficult to animate in the 3D program im using now so i made most of her clothes tighter fitting and i guess i might have to do the same to her boots now so they don't look out of place.

oh, and here are some pictures.  The dots were caused when I made the animated gif in flash, does anyone know how to get rid of them?

I'd like to hear what you think.

I pictured her more as a "shojo" style character, something like this......

What do ya think?

i think the slimes are cute, i like them.  if you want them to be even more cute it might help to make the eyes slightly larger so that you can put a small highlight in them.

Wow, that picture in the post above me is impressive. I love the Dark, evil, cartoon look it has. Im going to have to go track down that demo now  :)

did anyone else get a mental picture of the person who made this locking himself in his room for hours while clicking on the rabbit compulsively and saying stuff like..."at least your not like those mean people on the ags forum" and "Ed, your the only one that REALLY understands me".

it would be really cool looking if you put the square and circle from the original into the new perspective that you used for the figure.  It would help stop people from thinking that its just a creepy nude guy that wants a hug.

i use adobe products but those are expensive unless you can get a student discount or use them in a schools computer lab for free.

i just did a google search for "free vector programs" and inkscape looked like one of the better ones.Ã,  i have never tried it so i cant recommend it.
http://www.inkscape.org

also i have heard people say that this free program is good for bitmap formats
http://www.gimp.org/

i have never used either of those programs, so i know nothing about them other than what i just read on the homepages and a few things i have heard from people so if anyone knows any reasons you shouldnt use them or better ones that you should use please name them.

Speaking of the tail, in the side view it's pointed in a different (backwards) direction than in the front and back views (where it's sideways). When she turns from front to side her body will change viewing angle but her tail will just stay where it is.

i didnt even think of that.  i will have to try and figure how to make it look right.

thanks for the tips.Ã,  i tried to give her a less stiff pose and i will no longer use white as a background color.Ã,  Here is an improved rendering of my character that i used both of your advise on.

this is how she looks in a background i threw together real quick just to see what she would look like with a building behind her. it is NOT supposed to represent the style i will use when i start doing my backgrounds.

And yes i am using a vector program for my drawings.

oh and on more thing. this is my start on her walk animation.Ã,  its still pretty ugly so dont laugh to hard. this is my first character so i am a newbie at this, and i didnt think about how hard it would be to animate the combination of a skirt a long jacket and a tale.Ã,  :-\

im new to this, so here is a rough sketch of the first character i have ever tried to make for a game.Ã,  She is a 18 year old genetically modified girl/cat i drew for a cyberpunk sci-fi style game that i want to make.Ã,  what do you think of it? how can i improve it?
