Ok, well I'll try it. :-)  It would be awesome if it worked.
#284
I tried all the patches in the past, and they never worked.

Ah yes, a remake of this game would be cool.  I never was able to finish it, because of that damn bug in the swamp.  I tried everything I possibly could to make it work, but it always locks up there.  so sadly, I never saw the ending to this game.

Ok Here's an easy one (I think)

One of my pet peeves in games is when there is too much dialogue.  If I want to read a story, then I'll pick up a book.  I don't like long intros, because I want to get into the game.  There's been times where the dialigue in a game kept going on and on, and I ended up not even bothering to read it, but just clicked all the way through.  I did that recently with Five Magic Amulets, which was a fantastic game, but there were a couple of parts, where I just got really annoyed at so much text.

Oh yeah.  I remember that hawaiian girl.  She was so cool.  They had a special that year, where they brought back some of the people that hadn't made it, and she had written this song about the judges, and it was HILARIOUS!  Lisa Leutchner from last year, was another one who I thought was really good, but Simon told her she was too big.  What really ticks me off about that is that NOBODY ever said a word about Rueben's weight.  It's such a double standard.

What's also sad is that I think sometimes they let larger women through, just so that Simon will make fun of them.  When I was at the auditions, I watched pretty clocely who made it to the next round and who didn't.  Every single big girl made it to the next round.  I know about 17 people from my town that went down.  Three out of the 17 made it, and they were all really large women.  None of the rest of us did.  It's really sad that they do that, just to make fun of people.

What's even sadder, is that I'm STILL addicted to this darn show!

What's really sad about that is that really good people get turned away, so those bad people can be entertaining for you.  I went to the auditions in Las Vegas this year.  There are actually TWO ROUNDS of auditions that go on, before you even get to the round you see on television.  Over 15,000 people were there, and every single one of them auditioned.  It's like a big cattle call.  Thing is, I saw many many people who were leagues better than the ones who are on the show now, and they were turned away, yet people like Mary Roach and Leroy are let through, because they are "entertaining".  My boyfriend and I auditioned, and neither of us made it past the first round.  But, anybody with a funny costume, or some kind of gimmick made it through.  I didn't care as much that I didn't make it, but he really should have.  He's fantastic.  I mean, we met a lot of people that could sing circles around us, and they didn't make it either.  Yet you see all those horrible people on tv.  For us, it kindof took away from the entire show.  It's not so much a talent contest as it is a reality show.

Incidently, the only reason we were able to even go to the audition was because we had just taken 1st and second place in a karaoke contest, which combined got us 1400 dollars.  Plus, we are both performing lead vocals in a rock opera that is debuting this weekend.... so Idol really didn't discourage us.

Has anybody played this game?  It's not AGS, but it's cool.  I found it after I was done with Five Magic Amulets, when I was searching around on the Wintermute site.  Anyway, I'm stuck and needed some help if any of you guys have played.

I DID search there when I needed the gum...

Spoiler
I searched there when the nerds needed the ruler fixed AND when the punks needed the clown taken care of, and nothing.  It just kept saying that it already tried that.  It wasn't until I started over that I was able to do it.

Yeah, same here.Ã,  No change.Ã,  Have interacted with everything I can think of to no avail.Ã,

Edit:  Huh.  Never mind.   I must have found a bug or something, because I had checked those each about ten times and NOTHING.  I restarted and played the whole thing again, and then found them.  Interesting.

Hmmm... Some of those are pretty good.  The cat one... well, that's just mean.  never joke about someone or something dying or getting hurt.  I've had that "joke" played on me, and it wasn't funny, even when I found out it was a joke.

Anyway, I didn't play any pranks, but I thought I would share what a local radio station did... they made an annoucement that if you go to 16th and Idaho street, the first 98 people there would get free gas.  I didn't go, because ...one, I had to work for another half an hour, and two, I gave it some thought, and realized... there is no gas station at 16th and idaho.

Monday morning, they annouced on the radio that the free "gas" they had given away was free chili.   :D

OH, I think Clay is much better looking than THAT guy.  Gross.

Clay's a kind of a dork, but MAN, he's got a good voice.  Sorry, when he sings... wowza!

While I agree with you on the whole overflow of the idol stuff, I think you're wrong about Kelly.  She recently started her first solo tour here in America, and every concert was sold out in two days.  SHe is played on the radio here all the time, MTV is calling her the current first lady of pop, and her albums are still selling like hotcakes.  The release of her second album really boosted her up, and she is getting away from the whole American Idol thing.  The rest of the Idols really aren't doing much, besides guest appearances here and there, so I agree with you on the rest.  Just not the Kelly thing, because she is genuinely doing really well in the business.

Bo Bice or Nadia.  They are the only ones who really light up the stage.

I think Constantine is terrible.  He reminds me of Smeagol.  Anwar was better in the beginning, but has gotten worse.  Carrie is boring.  She has a great voice, but no presense.  Same with Scott.  He has amazing control, but his stage presence is boring.  Anthony is just pitiful.  Vonzell and Nikko are hit and miss.  Sometimes they are fantastic, and sometimes they are awful.

Ah I liked it.  It was a cute little game, and I actually got through it without needing hints, which is REALLY rare for me.  So good job for a first game.
