well, i'll be blunt.
First off, the colors seem to be a little off. I personally think it would be better to make them a bit darker.
Secondly, while it loks cool close-up, from the size you've made him, i tihnk the lines(wires or something i assume?) look odd.
Just keep on practicing and you'll get better.
Cheers,
FB.
PS: while this isn't exactly A-grade art, it still rips in half what i can do now, and in quarters what i could do when i first started.

I do, but I also classify you as a person who hasn't listened to too much music in his young life.
oh excellent, now this community has found something else to make me the butt of all jokes-apparently i haven't listened to much music in my "young" life. Hey, what about the fact that i can't play soccer well, or perhaps you can all laugh about my blonde hair. GOD, why must I be the one? How come we all don't pick on, just completely out of random, Andail, or Nikolas, or yodaman11111?
What have i done during my time on this forum that was so wrong??

I've stayed as quiet as possible about this, but while i kind of agree that this may be a good thing anyway, if Gilbot's said is true, then we won't be able to continue using the old AGS. Again, not exactly a bad or good thing, but change is change. Let's just hope we can adapt smoothly and efficently without,y'know, killing each other mercilessly :=

Critics' Lounge / Another MIDI for CL

Hey AGSers,
Here's a piece i've been working on for a while, it's supposed to portray a futuristic city, one in which man has anhilated all foes and is living under a regime of death.
Dramatic.
Anyway, heres the MIDI:http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/Grazen_Azul.mid

AGS Games in Production / Re: Hornet City

Hey, if you read my edit for the new screenies, i've decided to stick with the old graphic style. I think that the old style looks better.
Regards,
Fluke.

thanks for unlocking the thread Darth.
And i have some good news! I have decided to change the graphics style, from the old basic adventurey style, to a Cult II style birdseye view. I've already started, and i will post new screenshots of this new graphic style when i get home, because right now i am at school.
Cheers,
  -FlukeBlake.

Talking to train guards (please excuse the dots everywhere, my PSP8 was screwing so I had to copy and paste into Paint, which lost some color information. Also, please excuse the sloppyness, the room is going to be cleaned up a bit soon)

This is the game's first cutscene. As you can see, the game's cutscenes are told in Graphic Novel form(max payne homage anyone?)

EDIT: I've just decided, upon reviewing the graphics, that I'll stick with the first graphic style. While i preferred a birdseye view, i think it'll look better Standard Adventure-type.

12th season?
That's what it's got on wikipedia(first sentence, actually):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivor:_Panama

You didn't get it until now, but you've already passed judgement on it? Odd..
I'm basing my POV on the past few seasons i've watched. The first season was good, but the rest seem to have an aura of superficiality about them.

Last night as i skimmed through the newspaper (rightly throwing the Home and Classifields away in disgust) i checked the tv listings, and realised that that night Survivor(now in it's elderly 12th season), was starting. Fair enough.
Then i wiki'd it, and found that it began mid-february in US. Not that i wanted to watch it anyway, frankly i think it's a sadistic show, a ridiculous take on reality, and featuring stereotypical characters, most of which have huge abs or breasts the size of cannonballs.
But the fact that we didn't get it till now, makes me wonder if perhaps this happens to you? Do you live in somewhere were an 8 week old episode of Family Guy is being shown to your set as 'New'?

Hey,
I added some of your critiques, and made a few of my own, and
i got this
I hope it seems more natureish, now.

It sounds like a good idea to earn some extra money, because i've heard some of your samples and a lot of people would buy it, especially if you put it on a mainstream auction/sale site.
And I'd probably say CD, due to the fact that it will provide a hardcopy for those who buy it, but then have their computer wiped.
Again, i think it's a good idea, but i'm not the one with a Degree in Piano, Harmony, Counterpoint, Master of Music and a PhD in compositionÃ,  ;D

Greetos!
As you may have noted, i am taking some time off developing Hornet City to focus on my music, and this is one of my personal favorites. The Inspiration for this piece was looking at this image:

Anyway, onto the piece, Toothless
It's supposed to be a very one-with-nature piece, and while i think i did a decent job, i'm more than happy for critiques and opinions.

sorry to double-post but it needs to be said. Everyone hates me in this forum.
I came to this forum a year and two days ago, full of excitement over how fun developing my own games would be. So i signed up to the forums, after reading as much as possible of the AGS Manual, full of beans and ready to join this new community. Over that time, for one reason or another, all but a few of you have, in all honesty, grown to hate me.
I don't know why, but for some reason my statements and views have angered you to a state where anything i post is bad,n00bish stuff, barely worth reading. You people said it yourself, i've changed from my noob ways, yet you still treat me badly and as the butt of everyone's moron jokes. For shame.
