General Discussion / google madass names!
Tue 05/07/2005 00:16:39
you more than likely couldn't understand the topic title, so i'll explain it now.
This is so freaking amazing. I know this has been slightly brought up regarding CJ, but it's amazing some of the crap you can find on google about people with your name.
According to google, i am:
*Professional Hockey Player in Canada
*Big time computing mogul.
*A female cricket player
*A genealogist and....
* A navy seal.

Well, Hewitt's a completely different story.
EVERYBODY hates Hewitt.

wow, i was just thinking this. you'll watch a 3million dollar match of footy where they catch the ball about 2/10 times, and then you'll go outside and play with your friends who seem better than the pros! And don't get me started on Sonny Bill WIlliams.
He is absolute eyecandy for girls (apologies to all unstuck up, undramaqueenish girls on these forums). Almost all of my friends MSN Nicks have the words 'Sonny Bill Williams is gorgeous'. THey are forgetting the fact that he is a decent footy player. --Shudder--

alright alright
i get the idea, the graphics aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
That's why i am redoing them with PaintShopPro7. please refrain from throwing stones

I am getting PSP7 tomorrow, so, y'know, revamp on the way. I was thinking of using a program like Anim8or to make 3D graphics, can i import these into AGS, cos that would seriously kick ass!
Well, as stated above, revamp on its way.

hello GMser- errrr, i mean, AGSers,
i have a growing problem.
no it's not that my brain has been mutated by Dr Crab, Dr Clawman and Dr Zoidberg.
It's about boredom.
When i make AGS games, i usually do all the art first, then import them into the game, then fiddle with the scripting, GUI etc.
This is normally pretty boring.
Is this the easiest way to make AGS Games?
#710
how about if you make the site itself with the Geocities program, then convert it to a .tk ?

you may notice that some large vehicles, while not "square" shaped, are not circle shaped either. They are a cross between the two. That is the essence of Tuner City. A real life style
experience. (yes, i realise that the graphics need a huge makeover)
well, tada. A demo will be out in a little while.

thanks pablo, your words... umm, flattering? :P
Sorry, couldn't help myself. And, yeah, it will be unlike most AGS-made games, as it is not really an Adventure game. You have to earn cash in comps, and get respect from other tuners. And the graphics are pretty shit but, if people are really going to like my game, than it will be for the gameplay. It seems to me that people focus on the graphics too much and not enough on the gameplay. For example, the game XIII has great graphics, but is pretty boring and repetetive. Forgive my analogy.

INTRODUCTION
Hello, here at Pegasus Games we are starting a new project, called Tuner City. It is a true-to-life story of the lifestyle of a garage tuner.

STORY
You play Matthew Crinderg, or Matty C, who heads to Tuniarra City, or, as the gearheads call it, Tuner City, to begin his car-modding career. He begins by tuning a few cars at the local smash repairer, but is dismissed for unproper tuning, which means using parts like neons when he shouldn't. All things look bleak until Donny Winchell, the owner of FixItUp Customs, gives you a call on your cell. He calls you over, and your life as a tuner really begins.

FEATURES

* More than 10 cars just waiting to be tuned up.
* A true-to-life story, with plot-twists and turns.
* You'll need to earn the respect of fellow tuners, or else you're back to working in a by-the-book car repair garage.
* Kooky characters including Taxi Drivers, Drug Dealers and "Gangstas".
* Plenty of different garages for you to try out your luck at.
* Enter Competitions to win cash, parts and most importantly, respect.
* Music by Cameron Urquhart, Jamie Valente and more.
* Plenty of different customisation effects, including Paintjobs, Rims, Decals and performance changes like Weight Reduction Kits and Nitrous Oxide.

SCREENSHOTS

The main menu of the game, with tabs like Start New Game and Options.

The games plot is told in form of conversation, mostly.

The first ever car you get to tune, already tuned up, the Sultan S7.

The Bison 03' Green Version.

ahhh! it's the why is the age limit set dammit post all over again!
Anyway, the game is basically like this. You tune them, but rather than racing them like in NFS:UG or MNC3, you enter them in Style Comps, where judges rate the performance, appearance and more of the car you have modded. You didn't honestly think i could do something as complex as a car racing game did you?

General Discussion / Concept Help
Mon 27/06/2005 07:04:34
hey, my mate is working on a Car Modification game, and i'm helping him with Concept. I need some ideas, like

1. Which cars to feature ( not licences, i mean stuff like sports cars, muscle etc.)

2. Which Modifications can be used

3.  Some kooky character ideas ( drug dealers, slutbags, it's all good )

thanks

ingenious cam! this will give bands in their "garage days" a chance to show the world (or at least the AGS community) what they can do.

PS: I know i should post the following in the ACR Thread but since this is on a musical note i will save the trouble of writing a new one. Anyhoo, i need a couple of bands to put some of their songs on my upcoming game, UNSIGNED BANDS AND SINGERS THIS IS YOUR CHANCE! Preferably either rock or hip-hop, but yknow, just keeepin' it real.

great idea matt. This is brilliant! Wish i would be able to get it, but with me living in Australia  :(. Hey, this has probably already been asked...[18...19...] uh... let's just say heaps of times,  but does anyone do an Aussie Gathering? I remember back in my nOOb [yes, i realise that i have only been here a little while, but i'm a newb now... newb...] days, someone wrote something about an aussie gathering and cos i was so new to ags i had no idea what the fuck they were talking about...erm, i think i'll just stop talking before i set fire to my memory bank... whoops, it's gone.

nah you just got to get out of that foresty sort of area. Once your out,Ã,  you can start going to bars, building a house and all that. Not to mention, it takes a while to learn all the controls and that. And surely, you must've enjoyed creating your character.Ã,  ;)

Edit: If you're about to download it and not sure, go to the Gallery on the website and it'll probally change your mind.
