Assuming that a Hebrew TTF font was used with the correct characters in the correct ASCII slots, then this should work presumably?

Forward references are not currently supported - this is not so much a bug as a 'feature'. The solution is as you discovered it.

Thanks for spotting it though.

I'm afraid I'm going to reject this suggestion, for two reasons:

1) it is needed so rarely, doing the rotate manually in a paint program and importing the frames is no big deal

2) rotating a sprite takes extra CPU time, so the different rotations would have to be pre-calculated. The frame mirroring on the other hand dynamically draws the sprites mirrored since it's comparable in speed to drawing them normally.

Ah, I see - so for example the text

ABC DEF GHI JKL MNO

would normally be displayed like this:
ABC DEF GHI
JKL MNO

but right-to left, it would instead be:
GHI JKL MNO
ABC DEF

is that correct?

I don't know really - would it be any quicker to have an in-editor option than just pressing Ctrl+T at the moment to test it?

1. yep this is a known bug, I should really add it to the knowledge base

2. I don't understand what you mean, can you provide an example?

90% of kids act like Kevin The Teenager during their teenage years. It's cool to diss your parents and so forth, and of course they'll do things that piss you off from time to time - everybody does.

But to really hate them, they'd have to do something like what rode or evil were describing.

Argh. Chris, I assume that PlaySoundChannel is the function that I've been bugging you for... the only problem is there's no direction in the manual on how to use it :P

Nope, that's a command for plugins to use.

Contact me over IRC about your 'special requirements' ;)
#8189
Yep, that's a clever trick. The problem is that it won't be used when the engine automatically blocks the game, eg. inside MoveCharacterBlocking.

He is a complete and utter TWAT idiot. I LOVE playing my guitar, but even though he has a go at me when I don't go on it, even when I DO go on it, he just sits on a chair and stairs at me playing. I HATE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!  >:(

Geez, he only gives you free food and shelter, I can see why you hate him for sitting there   ::)

Well, I prefer the Get function style, because it ensures that the user doesn't try and change the data. (and in the case of a copy, wonder why changing it didn't do anything).

I think I'll go with this for now, but I do see your point though and I'll consider it for future additions.
#8192
What you ask is interesting, because I'm not sure if it's actually possible to do. I'll see about adding an option for "GUI unchanged but disabled" or something.
#8193
hmm, why can't you delete it? Even if it's got no text, you should still be able to select it and delete it.
#8194
Hmm... well, if you like, upload the game files for me somewhere - it looks like that's going to be the only way to track this down.

When I've joined these places, they seem to either want a credit card or proof of your address (eg. driving license, etc) - which is fair enough. Demanding a credit card does seem rather unfair.

Alright, part 8 is (finally) uploaded. :)

Rick: good points, I will try to upload an index soon.

The problem with exposing that sort of thing to the script is that if I change the way the views are stored in the engine, then old scripts would be referencing invalid memory locations. While yes it would be possible to copy all the data into the special script view struct before running all scripts, that would be quite time consuming.
#8198
Oh god, not all this again.

RPG Creator, rather than putting down other peoples work with nothing to show for yourself, how about you stop reading these forums and spend your time making your wonder game instead.

I think KQ2 has been out long enough now for everyone interested to comment on it, so this thread is now locked.

Yep it only blocks if both characters are in the same room and neither of them has the "Allow walk through" thingy set.

Are you absolutely sure this didn't happen in 2.53? Because the only thing that's changed in the pathfinder was horizontal and vertical movement in 2.54.

Can I just point out, you should never have to manually put anything in the Compiled folder. (the only exception being AVI files).

AGS should automatically put everything you need in there - in this case, when you click the "Rebuild VOX files" option on the Game menu, it will place all the required files into the Compiled folder.

Some people have misunderstood this and distributed their games with both MUSIC.VOX and all the mp3 files - you do not need these seperately.
